The 2021 Happy Valley Huck-A-Thon is just about here!

Thank you for signing up, and for making this tournament one of the fastest-to-fill in CCDGA history. Together we raised more than $1000 for local course improvements at the two courses you will be playing on Saturday; Tri-Municipal Park and Harvest Fields.

Please note - check in time will take place from 7:45-8:30am on Saturday morning at Tri-Municipal. The parking lot at the course is small, so please carpool if possible! Parking at the front of the park is fine. At the course, there are about 25 gravel parking spaces and another 15 or so on grass. Each player will receive their player pack upon check-in, including a dri-fit event hoodie, can topper Zing mini, event sticker, and your choice of Thunderbird Bar.

Our hope is to be finished with the first round by 11:45am, giving you time to travel to Harvest Fields before the second round tees off at 1pm. We will be ordering pizza to have on hand at Harvest Fields, available to all who would like this as a lunch option (for a small donation to help cover costs).

We will be following the standard best-shot doubles format. We will be using the following PDGA rules as outlined below:

Both team members throw from the teeing area. The team then chooses which of the two positions to play from for the next throw. Both team members throw from the resulting lie, and the team again chooses which of the two positions to play from, and so on.
A team completes a hole when either team member completes the hole.
The score for a team on a hole is the number of throws for the lies that were played, plus any penalty throws.
If a team picks up a thrown disc before a lie has been chosen or marked with a marker disc, the team may not choose that throw. If a team picks up both thrown discs without a lie having been marked, the second disc to have been picked up is replaced to its original position as agreed upon by the group, and the team must play from the resulting lie.
If one team member is absent, late, or ceases play, the other team member may play, but no throws are made on behalf of the missing team member. A late team member may join play only between holes.

In addition to prize trophies for our top three teams in each division, we are planning prizes for a long drive hole at each course, as well as multiple CTP prizes at both courses! More details will be announced closer to Saturday as we finalize those holes and plans.
