I have a question about the rule for North hole 8. For those who haven't played it, there is a drop-off behind the basket and the majority of TDs are good about setting up a rule so you aren't standing on the edge where it could crumble and the player fall. So my question....is the 'relief' only if your disc/stance would be on the edge or does it include the area beyond the drop-off? I think it is only for player safety and to keep us from having to throw from near the edge....but in a past tournament, someone thought it included if the players disc went off the edge to the lower part of the ground.

Yes. It is only for safety relief for disc that are on the hill near the edge. It does not apply to discs that land past the hill on the lower ground.

Thanks for the clarification. I was pretty sure that was the answer....but this way it is clear should it come up during the rounds.
