Now seems like the perfect time to see how serious the city is about the future of disc golf for the property. If it is going to get the major cleanup and landscaping done it needs, and a course is still in plans for reopening, then start from scratch with some landscaping to add some features to course. Bring in some fill dirt, big boy toys, and create something out of the property. It could be nice if done properly and now would be that time. Speak out to the city and I hope for the best.

I really wish we could get a club forum together. Get the members with speaking skills, get some data diggers, some city workers who know the ropes... Form a core of presenters who can lobby cities for better course locations and land use. I wonder if the community could unite enough to do it... Think of the impact... Coos Bay ring any bells?

Go to the CCDG Board of directors with ideas, comments, and suggestions. Also attend their meetings to show your interest in getting involved. There has been so many different meetings over the years about different possible locations. Now seems the time to put forth a full effort on the future of the park course. It will take a lot of conversations, and quickly to see where this goes. A lot of good history for that course and get be turned into something even more special now. I already keep busy with managing Camp Taloali course but would offer up any opinions wanted from me and what I have learned over the years. Best wishes to who ever takes this on, has possible potential to it done right and with good agreements in place. Cascade Gateway when I grew up was a very popular family park with swimming and paddle boats/
