First, thank you for registering for the 2021 NYState Disc Golf Championships! Here's a quick update on the tournament:
- Tee Assignments for all pools/all rounds have been updated here.
- Course update: We are making progress, thank you for your patience. This has been one of the wettest Summers that I can remember and it's prevented us from getting the tractor and equipment around the courses. This has delayed the construction of a number of tee boxes. We are working to meet the following dates:
AUGUST 15 - All tee boxes constructed and holes installed (ie Danby 8,12)
SEPTEMBER 1 - Courses in tournament form with all signs, OB, etc. marked and ready to go
We will constantly update UDISC on the status of the courses. Please use it when practicing prior to the above dates. (we'd also appreciate it if you could consider the above when commenting on the courses, many thanks!)
- Saturday Doubles: For the foreseeable future the club is running a Saturday Doubles at 1:00 PM. Odd dates at TC3. Even dates at Danby. Random Draw $5 entry. ($4 goes to day-of cash payout) $1 Ace Pool. (currently around $100). Check DiscIthaca Facebook page for details. Best way to learn our courses.... just pray you do not get partnered with Barry, anyone but Barry...
-HOF Banquet - A number of you let me know you held off on purchasing banquet tickets until you were certain you could get in. You can access/update your registration via the registration confirmation email from DGScene. For those who wanted to purchase extra tickets, we had to finagle DGScene's system but you can now order higher quantities or combos of numbers to get what you need. If you are unable to get what you want there, let me know. The banquet includes dinner, a huge raffle (baskets, carts, backpack bags, stacks of plastic, etc) and the HOF induction ceremony. There will be a cash bar available at the VFW.
- We are still working with the college to understand whether we can allow vendors there for those who have inquired about sponsorships in that regard. Will post an update as soon as we can.
