Just had a practice round out there this long weekend and notice a handful of holes had basket locations in shorter positions than usual. Are they going to moved to the older traditional positions. Also had a question about to tee assignments and curious what the reasoning is for MPO playing short tees round one? Course is looking amazing still is the best course in Ontario looking forward to this and appreciate all the hard work that everyone has put into this event.

Hi Josh. Good question. This decision was based on discussions with the full tournament team (Karl, Gabe, Jeff & myself). The baskets will be in the long positions for Day 1 from the shorts, with some of the shorter basket positions currently in place on the course being utilized in play on Day 2 or 3. The layout from the shorts that MPO is playing on Day 1 is 7,000 ft in length, which is already longer than many other tournament rounds around the province. If you’re really looking forward to stretching your arm next weekend, Day 2 and 3 will utilize a layout for MPO that is about 8500 - 9000 ft in length. All that being said, we know that a good round of disc golf is not just about length, but also about being able to properly place your shots. The different layouts and lengths played each day will add both interest and complexity to each of the rounds played. Thanks for your call outs on how good the course is looking. Gabe and many volunteers have been working really hard to bring the best event forward to the players. We look forward to seeing you in less than 5 days! :)
