And another Lost and Found Round is in the books. Ben Demory took home this year's edition of the Lost and Found Bowl with a blistering 44. Well struck sir, well struck. In the process, TWIZBEE raised $668 for course enhancements at North Star Reach. We WILL break a grand next year. Now, the collecting begins for next year.

And TWIZBEE is done for another year as well. In spite of some of the restrictions in place, somehow we managed to pull it off. I'd like to take a few hours to thank some people, businesses and groups who helped to make this whole thing possible. Don't worry Trevor, I'll be as brief as I can.

So, not only do you get a share of the 50/50 ace pool for the event, you will get half of the TWIZBEE ace pool which sits right now at over $600, but, you would only get half of that. And that is all the more reason to come out THIS week to Bandemer and help that ace pool grow.

Old business. Last week old as a matter of fact. Our cash CTP was NOT Steve Nolff. Dalton Stetsko is now $15 richer after taking the cash on hole 1. The mystery CTP, the Twin Pines package of a Milky the Clown T-shirt and an autographed photo of said clown was won by Joe Johnson. He has no idea who Milky the Clown is but we hope the photo is on the wall with the rest of the family mug shots and that he wears the shirt with pride. Alex Shane will get his choice of a disc from our dwindling stock for taking home the disc CTP.

And, the hungriest man on earth must be Tyler Kinley. He won BOTH food related CTPs out at Lakeshore last week. He won the $25 gift card to Ray's Red Hots, the official sponsor of TWIZBEE'S Hot Dog Month Celebration. AND, he won the gift certificate to Roma's Back Door in Owosso for some splendid Italian cuisine. What else would you give out on National Lasagna Day but Italian food. I'd like to thank Eric Lab, the owner of Roma's and Jimmy Jean, the best facilitator ever, for making that prize possible. Tyler, we need some information from you so we can get the certificate in your hands.

We attempted to give out state berths last Thursday. I need to hear a yes or no from Paulie Whitmore on his berth acceptance. John Wilson accepted a berth. But we still have two more to hand out. We need to hear from Dan Connochie and then Marc Prud'homme as to whether they want a berth. Then, well, we move on down the list.

This week we will be at Bandemer. It is the OOPs round. You will earn points for NEXT YEAR just by having out of production discs in your bag. Although, what is the point in carrying them around if you're not going to throw them. I mean. C'mon. Throw 'em. Can't really do any worse. Maybe even better. Anyway, hope to see you all at Bandy on Thursday. We'll let you decide what courses to play. It's late and I'm tired.

State berths will be handed out. We have 4 to give away. It would be nice for all to stick around after the round because I think some of you have a berth and some of you don't want a berth, so, stick around to see who gets one.

We have a ton (for us) of CTPs. Cash will be hole 1. The Mystery will be hole 8. The disc will be hole 14 and the Hot Dog will be hole 18. We also have another one for National Lasagna Day. Youse guyz can pick that one.

Also, next week is the OOPs round. Bonus points for next year with Out of Production discs in your bag. We should be back at Bandy for that one, so, no need to be afraid to pull our the Maverick or Barracuda and give it fling.

The Lost and Found Round is the last round on the 12th. I know we were at Hudson Mills last year, but, I'm thinking we just keep to our rotation and play MBD. For $20 you get two discs and a bag. The money goes to the course at North Star Reach. MBD is a straightforward course so I think 2 discs should be plenty. Yeah. MBD it is for the Lost and Found Round, 2021 edition. This is the week. The week we hand out state berths. If you have one already, please let us know. We will hand them out at the conclusion of our round this week at Lakeshore. This will give the archer and the torch team time to get set for the lighting of the TWIZBEE Flame.

We want to thank all that came out last week at MBD and took advantage of the first ever TWIZBEE Sundae Bar courtesy of Milkmeansmore.org. Without their help, well, to be honest, we wouldn't have bothered. We would have settled for the ice cream truck with the creepy driver that circles the neighborhoods all summer. Milkmeansmore.org made it a very special occasion. So, drink milk and eat ice cream. It does a body good. Except none for you Paulie.

Last week was also Rat Catchers Day. Joe Johnson not only took home the disc CTP but also the Rat Catcher CTP of a Rat (actual disc), rats (plastic) and a rat trap. I hear he is working on a kids game right now with the rats and trap. Good luck to you Joe!!!

Seth was the closest guess to Paulie Whitmore's score and went home with a sweet ice cream maker. And Steve won the cash CTP, again. He must have a metal detector on that disc the way he is always hitting the coinage.

This week at Lakeshore, The Ponds course, we will be somewhat celebrating National Lasagna Day. So wear somethin with Garfield on it and walk away with bonus points. But, the points will carry over to next year. Berths are being awarded that night. So too little too late for the bonus points for this year. But, there is always next year.

The following week we will be back at Bandy for the OOPs Round. Out of Production discs earn you extra points, again, for next year. We have a list. It has to be a disc that is no longer made, period. Our final week, August 12, is the Lost and Found Round. The $20 fundraiser for the course at North Star Reach. I was thinking about Hudson Mills, as we did last year, but I could be persuaded to have it at the Gulch. Let me know what you think. OK, gotta go, my ice cream is starting to melt.

It is happening again. The 2021 Lost and Found Round. August 12. The bowl for this years winner is having the finishing touches put on it as we speak. Same as last year. $20.00 gets you a paper bag with two or three discs in it. Those are the only discs you can use for the round. $5.00 of your entry fee goes to a 50/50 ace pool. No ace hit during the round, weelll, that is just more money for the disc golf course at North Star Reach.

The OOPs round is the 5th of August. You get bonus points, for next year, for having out of production discs in your bag, and, hopefully, throwing them as well. I have a list. Probably not a complete list, but a list just the same. We can use this list for now and expand on it for next year. It it works out this year.

Now, more to the present day. This Thursday, at Mary Beth Doyle, the event you have all been waiting for. Thanks to Milkmeansmore.org and the helpful folks at Washtenaw Dairy, the first ever TWIZBEE Sundae Bar!!! It will be set up after the round, so, please, stick around. My freezer is only so big.

It is also Rat Catchers Day. We will have a Rat Pack Mystery CTP. (not the real Rat Pack, we couldn't come to terms with the estates and the attorneys). We will also have a Free For All CTP courtesy of Ray's Red Hots. It is still National Hot Dog Month, after all. We are also doing a Guess Paulie's Score Contest for a free ice cream maker. One thing is for sure, I cannot predict the weather or even follow a forecast.

Old business. When last we met up with our plucky band of discing desperados, they were at Bandemer. We had a double winner, John Wilson won both the cash and the disc CTPs. Steve won the Zeppelin (it was the birth anniversary of Ferdinand Zeppelin after all) and Trevor won the Led Zeppelin mini and the blow-up Goodyear blimp. Huzzah.

This week, at MBD, is going to be a busy one. First, there WILL be the sundae bar after the round, courtesy of MILKMEANSMORE.ORG and with the help of our friends at Washtenaw Dairy. I'm not really concerned about rain this week. The hell with it. It rains, it rains.

It is also National Hot Dog Month, so this week and next week we will have a FREE FOR ALL CTP for one gift card per week to Ray's Red Hots,629 E University Ave, A2. They are our official TWIZBEE Hot Dog Sponsor. Even if you don't win the gift card, stop in and say hi to Phil and the staff. Get your picture taken, bonus points are at stake.

It is also, I don't make this stuff up, Rat Catchers Day. You know, like the Pied Piper. There will be a $3.00 CTP for a pile of prizes.

Next week, the 29th, I will have the list available for the OOPs round on August 5th. Oh yeah, and we will also be handing out our 4 state berths as well. Can't forget about that. Please let us know in the meantime if you have already secured a berth to the state tournament. It makes things a little easier. Also, we will need a place to play on the 5th of August. JULY is National Ice Cream Month and with the help of the good people at Washtenaw Dairy and Milkmeansmore.org, we are going to have the first EVER Sundae Bar this coming week at Mary Beth Doyle. The ice cream and toppings are scheduled for a 7 p.m. pickup and setup. So, please , as much as I love ice cream with all the toppings, I do not want to take melting ice cream home. Stay and enjoy the bounty.

JULY is also National (you still with me Trevor? Good) Hot Dog Month. Some time this month we will have two CTPs for $25 gift cards provided by our National Hot Dog Month sponsor, Ray's Red Hots. You should remember them as the food vendor at No Foolin' earlier this year. And as always, bonus points for TWIZBEE for a selfie taken with a Ray's Red Hots employee, either in-store or at one of their carts around town.

Since I am on a tear and Trevor is still awake, don't forget our upcoming events. We will have another Lost and Found Round in August to benefit North Star Reach. It will still be $20 for the bag of two discs, maybe 3, for a round at a course TBD. Last year we were at Hudson Mills The Original. This year I'm thinking the Monster. But let me know your thoughts.

We are also toying with the idea of an OOPs round. You will get a bonus point for every Out Of Production disc in your bag. We have a list. This will probably be the week before Lost and Found. And, I'm guessing a week AFTER we award our 4 berths to States. I guess your OOPs bonus points will have to carry over to next year. How about that, starting the year with points in the bank. Yeah I like that idea.

welcome back everyone. This week, according to my reckoning, we are at Bandemer. We are going to up the game a little this week, a round from the Blue tees first and then a round from the White tees. I think we are ready for the upgrade.

July 8th is also the birth anniversary of Ferdinand Zeppelin, affectionately called Led by his friends and family. Word on the street was the he wasn't the sharpest crayon in the box. We will have Zeppelin themed CTPs.

Also, it is the that time of the season we have all been waiting for. MID-SEASON AWARDS NIGHT!!! We seem to have a few more players this year than in past years, so the trophy payout is going to go a little deeper this year. We have 29 trophies and two medals to give away. So, please reach out to all the people you have played TWIZBEE with this year and remind them to please show up THIS THURSDAY to take home the gold, or silver or bronze or green. And also, if someone could get in touch with Steve and remind him to update the league from last week, that would be great.

We also need to know how many of you are going to show up for the TWIZBEE Sundae Bar on July 15. We will be at Mary Beth Doyle that week, and since parking is limited, you may want to get there early to get a space. As an added bonus, one of the CTPs will be an ice cream maker, which could be our new logo for next year as well.

One last thing. Don't forget our Lost and Found Round on August 12 to raise funds for the Northstar Reach disc golf course. For those of you that participated last year, you will remember that for $20 you get a paper bag with 2 to 3 lost and found discs. These are the only discs you can play with during the round. And, we also give away a lot of left over TWIZBEE inventory from this past season. And did I mention the LOST AND FOUND BOWL?? This year's edition of the bowl will be welcome in anybody's trophy case.

Since Brad's new gift of brevity has left most wanting for more, I shall gladly fill in.

Next week is indeed at Lakeshore and is Canada Day. Yahoo, a celebration of our hockey and beer loving brethren to the North.....well, South. Scott White, a huge disc golf maven, in Ontario was kind enough to exchange club swag with us. So we will have a few CTP's. We will have a 3 buck mystery CTP, our normal 2 dollar dues and 3 dollar ace pool. I think I will throw in an extra CTP or two for another 2 bucks. The 2 dollar dues includes the normal disc and cash CTP. So, 10 bucks all in.

Brad has taken off for the land o' thousand lakes, so it will be just me this week. Look forward to seeing you all out there.

I have been told by some that my posts have gotten a bit long. This week we will be back at Mary Beth Doyle.

Last week we played to honor Iceland's Independence Day. We had a special CTP in out efforts to do the day proud. I am sorry to say that no one was able (willing) to recite a poem for the 10 bonus points being offered. Pity. But, the ctp winners included Mike Magner (Viking drinking horn) Joe Pavlovich (travel guide of things to do in Iceland) and Dave Setty (volcanic T-shirt).
The regular ctp winners were John "I'm here for all the CTP discs" Wilson and Steve "oh good, more cash for the retirement fund" Nolff. Well done one and all.

And, just a suggestion. Every now and then we offer up a multiple prize CTP, like we did this past week. We had 5 prizes to give away. Problem is, we only had 3 entrants. Now, it would seem to me that the first card out would have at least the first 3 to 4 spots on the CTP sheet, wouldn't they?? So why not put your name on the list? You know, get the ball rolling so we can give away all 5 prizes instead of me having to give Steve a pack of fish jerky while he is out camping and hope the skunks and raccoons don't get a whiff of it. Although that would have been hilarious.

This week is the anniversary of the first sighting of flying saucers. We will have a special free and open to all CTP to honor this most momentous of moments AND a special gift for all who show at Mary Beth Doyle this week. AND, we will have a 50/50 cash CTP as well. Plus, it is our last week of milk at the rounds courtesy of #milkmeansmore. As you all know, milk, it does a body good. We would like to take a group photo of everyone hoisting a carton of milk before the round begins. I'm fine with pictures of the cards with the milk before they head out. The more photos, the better.

And for those of you that have stayed this long, I want to remind you all to go out and support our sponsors. With the lifting of the restrictions, it just became a little easier. And don't forget, bonus points are still on the table for those of you who want them. Just take a picture of yourself and a staff member from Krazy Jim's Blimpy Burger, Shake Shack, Blom Meadworks, a dairy farmer, a bartender at Ann Arbor Distillery and the new sponsor, soon to be announced. This week we are back to Bandemer for a round of Reds and a round of Whites (just let me know when you want me to throw in the Blues)

Three big winners last week. Anthony Vasquez won the Mystery CTP. In case you all forgot, last Thursday was the anniversary of the date the ballpoint pen was patented. Our very own Steve Nolff took home all the cash (that we had to offer). And John Wilson won the disc CTP.

This week, on Thursday is the date that Iceland gained its independence from Denmark in 1944. To celebrate, our Mystery (so much for the mystery) will feature Iceland. Everyone will get an Icelandic flag, while supplies last. And the CTP will have room for 5, count 'em, 5 winners!!! We were unsuccessful in connecting with a club from Iceland for the disc swag swap, but, we were able to put some stuff together.

I did do a (very) little research into how the folks in Iceland celebrate the day. A poetry recitation caught my eye. There is always a poetry recitation. So, the person who recites a poem at the end of the round will receive a few bonus points, point total to be determined. So get out the volumes of poetry that I know you have just laying around and get to memorizing. And, absolutely NOTHING that starts with "there once was a man.......... nope, can't let it happen.

It is also National Dairy Month and since no one brought cookies last week, well, you get another chance this week. Please. We're running out of weeks. And we still need to know who is in for the sundae bar on July 15th. Both the milk and the ice cream are courtesy of the United Dairy Industry of Michigan #milkmeansmore. And I just heard from Scott White, my new bestest Canadian friend. Earlier this year, we, as in A3, put out an appeal to see if any club would be interested in swapping boxes of club swag so we, and them, would have new discs and such for CTPs and the like in this era of the Great Plastic Shortage of 2021. Scott just communicated with me that he has dropped a box of "stuff" in the mail from the Windsor-Essex Disc Golf Club. You do realize of course that TWIZBEE will be playing on July 1, Canada Day. We will do what we can to help them celebrate!!

Another great week of disc golf is in the books. A rugged round at the always challenging Mary Beth Doyle Park and Nature Area. Steve, myself and a couple others believe we saw a pair of Osprey checking out the marsh area until they were chased away. Oh, the fun and adventures to be had at MBD!!

Congratulations to our CTP winners this week. Nick Haskins won the Mystery CTP, which for Nick, is still a mystery. Mike Magner was the $20 winner in the cash CTP. Dan Connochie won the disc CTP.

I want to once again thank the United Dairy Industry of Michigan (milkmeansmore.org) for providing us with refreshing and invigorating milk as a post round snack. They will be doing this after each round this month to help celebrate National Dairy Month. Unfortunately, due to budget constraints, we were not able to have cookies this week. But, if someone should feel the need to donate a box or two, they would not be refused. I mean, why have just milk when you can have COOKIES too. Oh, and watch for more details for the Sundae Bar July 15th. If you can make it, please let us know so we can place the order.

Next week, the 10th, is our Discmania Takeover Night. As with the other two we have done this year, special deals on a limited supply of Discmania discs. June is also National Iced Tea Month so there will be a special treat for all (or most) attendees. AND, it is also the day the ballpoint pen was patented. I tried to get a Twisbe pen (yes, they are a thing) but was unable to get in touch with anybody at Twisbe. Their loss.

Thursday is also National Egg Day so watch for a special treat out on the course. You shouldn't have to hunt for them too hard. Also, a special egg themed Mystery CTP.

June is also National Dairy Month, so, with the help of our friends at #milkmeansmore (the United Dairy Industry of Michigan), we will have a special post round treat. Not only this week, but every week in June. And be sure to show up July 15th for the TWIZBEE/UDIM Sundae Bar!!! I just need to have a body count about a week before so we can accommodate all! And remember, Milk. It does a body good!

I have some to loan out, but will need them back, just in case we do something else with them. I have tape and I have little horses. You can keep the used tape and the horse. Tape a horse to the top of your disc, kinda like a reverse jockey situation. We will throw down to the basket from the white tee on #8. We have a pile of prizes from the Baltimore area, the home of Pimlico and the Preakness. You will have a chance for some practice throws while Steve and I finish the round. This should be interesting.

This week. A round of Reds and a round of Whites at BANDEMER. CTPs will be from the white tees only, so, second round.

We will be celebrating the first running of the Preakness this week. If you have a favorite Ultimate disc that you really, really like, bring it along. At the END of the round, we will let you tape little horses to the top of your disc and throw it as far as you can from the white tee on #8. The one that goes down the hill to the basket and the backstop. We have a bunch of Baltimore and horse racing prizes for the closest jockeys. So, when the round is over, don't trot off. You are only part way to the finish line.

Jumping ahead. June is National Dairy Month. With the help of the United Dairy Industry of Michigan, we will have a refreshing treat after each round. Similar to what the winner of the Indianapolis 500 receives at the end of that race. Jumping even further ahead, did you know that St. Swithin's was a fan of sundae bars?? It is a little known fact, but it's true. Of course, over the years, that fact has been lost. St. Swithin's Day actually has something to do with rain in the U.K. Probably because it rained on the Saint's sundae bar when he set it up for the villagers after a long hard day in the fields. Sure, nobody remembers the ice cream, just the rain that turned it all to white slop (only had vanilla, back in the day, as I recall). So, please save the date of July 15. And let's hope it doesn't rain, dammit.

Also, as Trevor pointed on the latest Instagram post, the league coordinators are on the course league nights as well. So, if there is a problem, find them. Please. Or call them. Or text them.

Another week in the books, and, another appearance by the Mystery Discer, aka, The Interloper. For this upcoming week at Bandemer, if you have one, wear a tie-dyed shirt. Don't ask any questions, I'll explain later.

This past week we celebrated World Bee Day. Our Mystery CTP had 6 prizes attached, but, alas, we only had 4 winners. That means we will have 2 carryover prizes for our takeover of Don's sanctioned league on the 31st.
Nick Haskins was 4th closest and will get a St. Ambrose University Fighting Bees (yes, it is a real thing) T-shirt. Taking 3rd was our own Paulie Whitmore. For his efforts he will get a Bright Farms hat and tote bag so he can impress everyone at Whole Foods or Better Health or 7-11, wherever he gets his grub. Steve Nolff took home a Bright Farms water bottle. Thank you Bright Farms and thanks for helping us celebrate National Salad Month. And the Mystery CTP winner was Tyler Kinley. Thanks to Blom Meadworks for donating the gift card and glass in honor of World Bee Day. Just a reminder that players do get extra points by frequenting our sponsors.
