YD: Ypsi Dubs ~={Church}=~ 6/3/2013

Great day Sunday for a round. Bruno took the 100% on #1 and the Longest putt from me on hole #9. Zach took the 50/50 on hole 18.

Jake will post last weeks and this last Sunday shortly. With Jake sitting at Third right behind Sam Smith and with less than 50 points between him and Mike Raley in first, I know Jake would like to see these scores posted as well.

Next week - LLLLLOOOOONNNNGGGS unless it's raining.

YD: Ypsi Dubs ~={Church}=~ at Brown Park (MBD) this Sunday

All due to the tournament at Rolling Hills this Sunday ~={CHURCH}=~ service will be held at Mary Beth Doyle (BROWN PARK!) this Sunday for those who can not commit to a full day tournament. Jake has talked with the Night Moose league and coordinated that we can play back to back league rounds. It's always fun when we get together and you can expect some extra fun this Sunday since we will all be together we will try and do hot dog and some other fun in between.

All due to the tournament at Rolling Hills this Sunday ~={CHURCH}=~ service will be held at Mary Beth Doyle (BROWN PARK!) this Sunday for those who can not commit to a full day tournament. Ypsi Dubs - news - 5/3/2013 - Rolling Hills course info

As most of you know Mother nature wreaked a little havoc on our normally beautiful course. Also many are eager to see a second course go in at Rolling Hills.

Matt and I have talked with Steve W and have permission to move the existing wood chips (near maintenance office and also the pile out between 14 tee pad and 14 basket in the field) to where they are needed. Mainly areas that get muddy near tee pads and baskets and trails. We have begun to move chips to Hole 10, 11, 14 & 15. We a ... more

As most of you know Mother nature wreaked a little havoc on our normally beautiful course. Also many are eager to see a second course go in at Rolling Hills.

Matt and I have talked with Steve W and have permission to move the existing wood chips (near maintenance office and also the pile out between 14 tee pad and 14 basket in the field) to where they are needed. Mainly areas that get muddy near tee pads and baskets and trails. We have begun to move chips to Hole 10, 11, 14 & 15. We are also taking care of the tee pad erosion issue on 15 and a new gentler path down the hill in order to keep from losing this hole.

This Sat at 5:00 I will be out near hole 14 again moving chips to holes 12, 13 and the path to 11. If your interested in helping come on out. I have a wheel borrow, Rolling Hills will allow us to use one of theirs.

Steve said that he will have a crew chip the fallen branches and we can use all those chips to help the course as well. This has no timeline yet as the water park updates are priority 1.

We also have permission to begin to stake out tee pads and baskets for the new area. We share this area with the Bikers who have already made their trail and some natural preserves. If anyone is interested on Sundays after ~={CHURCH}=~ I am trying the clear fairways and begin staking out the holes just behind existing hole #1 and then continue on around the new area. We can play safari to the stakes to see how things play. Once close to set Steve will submit the funding request.

We once again have brooms on almost every hole - if you find old brooms bring them to leagues or give them to Matt, Ron or myself.

$6 to play per round - Includes the standard CTPs (we add a CTP for every 12 players registered for a given round. Cash or prizes awarded.) Payout after each round.

Optional Ace Pool - $2.00 (Ace pool pays out 75% if you have played 5 or more league rounds at this league, otherwise 50% payout)

Optional CASH CTPs, 100% & 50/50 - $2.00

Free Play option - We welcome all players, you can play for free. You are not eligible for payouts and you will be paired up with another Free player or Cali but we welcome you to come out and enjoy the round with friends.

There maybe a pre-round CTP or other activities during registration for all sorts of "amazing" things - don't be late....

You must be registered by roll call to play for payouts.

Part of the DGLA - Michigan Cooperative Point Series Summer 2013

Clarification of Rules - This is a fun league - we try and help everyone learn Disc Golf etiquette and help players understand tournament play and rules but at this league we deviate a bit from some of the PDGA rules. Here are a couple:

1) You can flip your disc if you do not have a marker disc.
2) If the disc sticks in the side of the basket and you remove it before it drops it counts, as well as going through the basket.
3) Best Disc - Partners do not need to throw from the same disc. As long as both discs are in play it is up to the player to select which ever disc they view is the "best disc".

Be courteous of other players while they are shooting and others on other holes. Help others learn the rules and how to be better players and have fun while you compete and enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings. Pick up trash that others leave behind and do not leave trash on the course.
