maybe we should have two days of ypsi dubs, rolling on tuesdays than lake shore on thursdays. or the other way around , same ace pool, same points, , maybe switch up the format of longs and shorts as well.

lakeshore dubs went smooth last night. 18 players. if i read correctly, we had 45 people come out in the same town at the same time for dubs. it doesn't make sense to split up that group. it also doesn't make sense for so many people to be unhappy with how this league is being run. those 2 issues are closely related.

the problems that melissa brought up are real, and need to be addressed. i have solutions in mind for issues 1, 2, 3, and 5, and will share if they are not addressed soon. bart, you've had time to think these through. did the league decide anything last night?

I have been hesitant to post anything on this subject mostly cause I don’t want to get stuck in the middle of a mess being created of a wonderful sport. But, I can’t help it cause I, like all of you, love disc golf.

There are some issues that have been brewing about the Ypsi Dubs on Tuesdays, which seems to be resolving in players seeking out a new Tuesday night doubles. There is nothing wrong with that, it’s a good thing but it is also unfortunate that we’re spreading a good group of players thin by splitting up.

These issues as I understand it are
1.People want 100% of their money to go towards the payout, and are disappointed that some of their money is going to Bart to organize the league.
2.Scores are not posted in a timely fashion.
3.There is a lack of variety in the courses to play, if it is Ypsi dubs and you’re only playing Rolling Hills each week you might want to re name it to Rolling Dubs or something.
4.People are upset with how the event is run – which Ams are chosen to play Pro and vice versa when there is an uneven number.
5.There is a lack of concern by the organizer for other peoples thoughts and input as far as what would make the Ypsi Dubs even better or just run a little more smooth.
6.An overall feeling of being ripped off, cheated and a little discouraged overall.

The really great things about Ypsi Dubs are
1.Foz brings beer for the CTP and we LOVE it! And people are always willing to share their growler winnings!
2.Rolling Hills is a great course for all levels of Disc Golfers, men and women.
3.The turnout has been great we’ve got some great players and some newbie’s with lots of potential, even a steady number of ladies have been coming out!

Bart I really hope that you and all of us can work together to resolve these issues. I also hope to see a good turnout tonight, I’ve been looking forward to it since last week!

less than half the players on the league list are linked through this website. by quick count, it's forty three linked out of ninety total. i am sure the other forty seven, who have lives, will be at rolling hills this evening playing shorts.

Bart, I went in an updated the schedule for 6PM at Lakeshore next week. I think all would be happy with this change, and thanks to discgolfscene it's not hard to make it clear and get the word out..
