We will be trying to start at 4:45 this week since daylight is short lived now. We will also be doing doubles for the rest of the year as you know.

We will be starting at 5:00 sharp this week. Light is getting scarce and we need get going earlier.

There will be no exceptions. You must be in the lot at 5 if you wanna play. No stragglers.

Tag Tourney

The tag tourney was a big success! Great weather, good players, lots of food and beer.

We sold 7 new tags yesterday and have 18 more to sell to whomever wants one.

We played one round, straight up, with cash payout for the top third.

No one hit an ace so we played "mini boccie" for the ace pot. There was a line set up and everyone had one chance to throw a mini closet to a pile of discs. KAZ took it down by being about 2 ft. away and won himself $20.

Doubles

Reminder to everyone that we're playing random doubles tonight.

Weather looks to be beautiful out there, so lets capitalize and get as many people as we can.

I'll be there a little early to try to do some work on the boxes.

Doubles and trash

This upcoming week we will be doing DOUBLES, random draw.

I'm gonna have some trash bags for each group to bring around as well. There is a fair amount of trash to be picked up and I'd like it done before the tag tourney.

I'm gonna try to get there early to walk the course with some clippers and a steel rake to fix up the course a bit as well. Any and all help is appreciated.

West Thompson Trooper Award

At the end of the season I'm giving away a few awards for this league. Most importantly, IMO, is the West Thompson Trooper Award, which will be given to the person who has contributed the most to WT and disc golf this year.

If you play in the league you can vote. PM me here or on Nefa and I'll tally it. The person you feel has done the most.

9 person league on one of the better days of the summer so far.

Jeff Emilyta takes it down again with a hot round and runs away with points.

AJ makes a triumphant return to WT and gets 2nd.

I finally posted the round from two weeks ago, which has now launched Jeff E. into first on the leaderboard.

Last week was doubles and does not count toward point or handicaps.

Today will be handi singles again per the norm. I wanna see lots of tags show up!! We have a tourney at the end of the month, lets mix it up a bit before then!

Dogs and leashes

Effective immediately there is a mandatory leash law at this league.

I apologize to whoever this may inconvenience but we've had far to many incidents already this year with dog fights and complaints of dogs being big distractions.

Tomorrow night at league Team West Thompson will be having a small meeting discussing who our 3 spots will go to.

If you are interested in playing on the team this year, please try to make an appearance and let me and Steve know.

We may or may not be holding tryouts right then and there, but at the least we need to know how many people are interested.

There is also 1 extra spot available for a lady. Girls, you know you want in on this debauchery!

Long story short,

Timmy Walsh shatters the course and throws a 45 straight up!!! We do believe that is a new course record.

That didn't stop Mike Cormier from getting his first Ace ever on Hole 3!! It was a laser. Gets him 10 extra points on the leaderboard too.

I just fixed the points to make it fair.

I realized the system I had was not fair after Bear took 2nd after one week.

Ten points to the winner, 9 to second, 8 to third, and so on. Only top ten get points.

5 bonus points for hot round.

Scores should now reflect that.
