Miller and Woj trade dollars.
In another dollar-trading week - Andy Miller took home the handicap money with a personal best 56 (-7 handicap) to beat out Woj who shot a 49 (-4.2) for the stroke play money. The ace pool slowly grows again. Pebble by StoneCo pebble.

Clean sweep, course record tie
This week I won handicap with a -7.2 (46), for $15. That 46 ties course record, set by Nate Wegryn in March. I also took home a $4 CTP on hole 10. Ace pool rises to $14.

Metzger takes home the grand prize.
This week congratulations are in order - Mark Metzger, your United States Match Play Doubles Champion, came home, arrived fashionably late to league, and proceeded to cash in an ace pot that has been building since 2018 - $326 to his pocket - along with a $7 CTP and a 2nd place finish in a playoff on the round rounding out a $343 day.
In handicap play Michael Calderon took home the W with a clean -10.75 for $20, and Andy Miller followed him with a -7.75 score for $10.

This week Clint Swain took home the handicap win with a +1 over his 58.00 handicap, for a clean $15 cash over myself and Brodie. Brandon Hall took home the side prize which was a long putt instead of a CTP this week - on hole 4 he put one in for an easy $5.

Note in results for stroke play: out of 7 players, only 6 played stroke play. Brodie chose to only play handicap.
Brodie Toth won $15 in handicap play shooting a 70 (-3.25), beating out Shayne who shot a 52 (-2.6) by less than a shot. Shayne took home a $4 cash CTP on hole 12 in addition to his stroke play win and $5 cash for 2nd in handicap.

STONECO SINGLES ***OFF*** JULY 20!
Note: StoneCo Singles will be off on July 20, there is no one to run the event - I and others will be helping at (or playing) in the Bedford Hills Summer Classic.
Please attend that event if you have a chance - carts, competition, and a true professional par 64 course. A good turnout helps us convince them to make a course a long term investment.

PDGA Spring Session - Final ratings up
The ratings are up for the Spring Session of PDGA sanctioned rated rounds over at PDGA.com. For some reason the PDGA ignored the notes on weather conditions, so all 8 weeks are lumped together whether it was windy/rainy or not.

Thunderstorms scare most, but not all!
Clint Swain showed up, and that was enough to get in a round of StoneCo Singles on Saturday! The thunderstorms dissipated by the time we teed off on our second hole of the round and it was beautiful weather the rest of the way through. Clint got off to an early lead, but was unable to hold it in the end in his first week of StoneCo Singles.

Ryan Toth continued his winning ways, cruising to an easy 7 stroke victory over second place finisher A-Rod. He took control on the back nine and never looked back.

Sanctioning and weather
Just as a note: the sanctioned PDGA rounds will be combined based on weather conditions for rating purposes at the end of the 8 week session. Thus far the conditions have been calmer on weeks 2, 4 and heavier winds on weeks 1, 3. I'll keep noting which grouping (or if another: heavy rain) rounds will go into so that ratings make sense when it all goes final (they're all going to shift quite a lot in the end with so few players each week).

In blustery conditions, Shayne Shroyer shot maybe the best round that has been thrown in competition conditions at StoneCo. It isn't a course record, but considering the wind it was a fire round. He took first in a six person field, over myself seven strokes behind in second.

Zero turnout due to rain
There was no turnout due to the sub-50 degree temperatures and constant rain yesterday. I walked the course after 3:00 and think that was for the best - the runoff was pooling up pretty heavily and some greens, like 10, were completely under water.

Toth takes off early, and cruises to the win.
On a single card field of four players - Ryan Toth pushed out to an early 5 stroke lead, and was never in danger en route to the 2 stroke win over myself.
In other prizes:
Toth crushed the handicap field to win $15.
Toth took a $4 CTP (hole 14).
I took a $4 CTP (hole 5) and a $4 longest putt (hole 18).

APRIL 28 - JUNE 16 :: SANCTIONED SESSION!
PLEASE NOTE: FROM APRIL 28 to JUNE 16 THIS WILL BE A SANCTIONED LEAGUE! PLAYERS WILL BE CHARGED A $1 FEE EVERY WEEK FOR THOSE 8 WEEKS! Of this $1 - half goes to PDGA, half goes to TD. I will use the $0.50 that goes to me to cover costs to keep the OB lines marked.
Based on player feedback - we will decide whether or not to continue to do this with a summer session, year round, once a year, or never again!

Jacob Jackson continues his winning ways!
This week Jackson took a field of five with a score of 56! He narrowly defeated Alex Rodriguez who shot a 57 for the day.
There were no other cash prizes this week.
Special thanks to MARK KRUSE who took time out of his day to run the league while I was away at a research symposium. I truly appreciate his efforts this week. I do not foresee missing any more weeks between now and August, thank you for your patience as I missed these last two weeks in a row.

Substitute League Op 3/30
I will not be running the league on 3/30. There WILL BE SOMEONE RUNNING IT. I will be in Georgia for National Collegiate Championships, this will not be a regular thing - I will continue focusing on this league over tournament play. Note that handicap play may not happen. I will leave that up to the substitute.

Jackson gets his first W of many!
Jackson came out and played a smooth 51 with few errors to beat a 4 man field by 3 strokes, taking down Toth and myself. I managed to take home 2nd place cash with a short CTP over Toth.

Toth took home the handicap payout of $15 by shooting over 4 shots below his handicap.
I took home a $4 CTP (hole 5).

Metzger takes the first ever StoneCo Singles sudden death playoff!
In the most tightly contested StoneCo Singles ever - Mark Metzger overcame a furious late charge by my self with a birdie on the 18th hole, and then a playoff win with a birdie on hole 1! The final cash spot was taken by Josh Beasley coming in six strokes ahead of fourth place.
