On Saturday November 2 there will be NO STONECO SINGLES. Most of the community will be at Bark at the Moon, including myself.
It was sitting low 50s and a slight rain at 3pm, no one showed up. Probably for the best - by 4:45 it was pouring.

In handicap play Michael Calderon took home the W with a clean -10.75 for $20, and Andy Miller followed him with a -7.75 score for $10.

This league still exists - and I will still be out there on SATURDAY AT 3PM!
No one showed up. See you all next week!
Note: StoneCo Singles will be off on July 20, there is no one to run the event - I and others will be helping at (or playing) in the Bedford Hills Summer Classic.
Please attend that event if you have a chance - carts, competition, and a true professional par 64 course. A good turnout helps us convince them to make a course a long term investment.
The ratings are up for the Spring Session of PDGA sanctioned rated rounds over at PDGA.com. For some reason the PDGA ignored the notes on weather conditions, so all 8 weeks are lumped together whether it was windy/rainy or not.
Clint Swain showed up, and that was enough to get in a round of StoneCo Singles on Saturday! The thunderstorms dissipated by the time we teed off on our second hole of the round and it was beautiful weather the rest of the way through. Clint got off to an early lead, but was unable to hold it in the end in his first week of StoneCo Singles.
This week at StoneCo there was no turnout. Yay us.
In other news I lost a disc warming up for nothing. Yellow XCal left of 2.
This week I managed to pull out the win in a three person field, ending Toth's run of wins at three in a row. The ace pool is up to $218. There was no handicap play, and no one paid in for CTPs.

I'd like to put out a huge "THANK YOU!" to Ryan Toth who donated the $25 sanctioning fee to keep the league sanctioned by the PDGA for another 10 weeks moving forward immediately. There will be no break in sanctioning, this week (June 23) will be sanctioned!
Ryan Toth took home the W upping his winning streak to 3 with the 2 stroke win over myself in a 3 man field. He took over the lead and extended it by taking 3 strokes on 10-11, and never looked back!
Nobody played for handicap, the ace pool is up to $212!

This weekend, with thunderstorms rolling through (and myself at a pool tournament) Shane Shroyer and Ryan Toth did battle 1 on 1 with Toth coming out the victor, three strokes free of Shayne thanks to some early birdies.
This week Woj beat a small field on a week in which the ace pool hit $200! StoneCo Singles is still waiting for its first league ace and the purse for it is creeping bigger!
In other prizes:
Jacob Jackson took home 2 $3 CTPs (holes 5, 9).

Just as a note: the sanctioned PDGA rounds will be combined based on weather conditions for rating purposes at the end of the 8 week session. Thus far the conditions have been calmer on weeks 2, 4 and heavier winds on weeks 1, 3. I'll keep noting which grouping (or if another: heavy rain) rounds will go into so that ratings make sense when it all goes final (they're all going to shift quite a lot in the end with so few players each week).
Weeks 1,3,5,7 grouped for wind, weeks 2,4,6 grouped for calmer.
This week I took home the win over a small field of 4 competitors. A-Rod pulled second place by a few strokes over Nate Hoyle. There were no other entrants into side games or handicap play.
Ace pool is closing in on $200.

Toth took a $4 CTP (hole 14).
I took a $4 CTP (hole 5) and a $4 longest putt (hole 18).
PLEASE NOTE: FROM APRIL 28 to JUNE 16 THIS WILL BE A SANCTIONED LEAGUE! PLAYERS WILL BE CHARGED A $1 FEE EVERY WEEK FOR THOSE 8 WEEKS! Of this $1 - half goes to PDGA, half goes to TD. I will use the $0.50 that goes to me to cover costs to keep the OB lines marked.
Based on player feedback - we will decide whether or not to continue to do this with a summer session, year round, once a year, or never again!

There were no other cash prizes this week.
Special thanks to MARK KRUSE who took time out of his day to run the league while I was away at a research symposium. I truly appreciate his efforts this week. I do not foresee missing any more weeks between now and August, thank you for your patience as I missed these last two weeks in a row.
Ace pool has grown to $150!
On 4/6 I have to participate in a professional event at UToledo. Mark Kruse will run singles with ONLY basic $5 buy in and $2 ace pool.

I will leave that up to the substitute.
