8/28 League Cancellation

Attention Flight Risk DGC members. Old Farm Summer League will be canceled not this Sunday coming up, but the following Sunday 8/28. We ask everyone to come out to Jaycee Park and play the "Rumble in the Jaycee Jungle." All of the proceeds from this event go in support of Willie Prince and Dan Treece, two of our local pros.

What a fine day for golf. Honestly I am glad we played from the shorts today I am still tired from my 3 rounds yesterday. Just ain't as young as I used to be. Anyway......... First place was a tie between 2 teams who each shot an -18(36). Zach Stuefen and Brandon Griffin, Lee Crandall and Nat Monsalvo. Great Job guys. Three other teams scored -17(37) including the team with the guy who got the only ace for the day. Randy Crawford hit hole 14 for an ace pool payout of $34. Nice shot Randy. # ... more

All right we had a great day of golf today and Ken Hall and Danny Markel had the best doubles round our league has seen, they shot a perfect 18 for 18 birdies (-18) from the normal tees. We had 27 people show up which on a holiday weekend with events going on everywhere I think we did pretty good. Ok the hole winners are as follows. Okay week 4 is in the books and what a great week it was. We played our long alternate course and Randy Rosendall and Kevin Wagner took home the win shooting a 47 (-7). Great job guys. We had one ace by Victor Wahl on hole #3. He took home half the ace pool ($35) as he is not a member of Flight Risk DGC.
