PDGA membership is not required to join and participate*
The league will run for 10 weeks from April 5th - June 7th.
Each week we will shotgun-start and plan to head to tee locations at 5:00PM. Sign-ins will start 4:45PM at the pavilion near the practice basket. For week 1, Dustin, Paul or myself will plan to be there by 4:30 for everyone to register.
There will be a 1 time entry fee of $5, and $5 for each round. The league will be based on a points system therefore weekly attendance is not mandatory to participate or even win the league. You will be awarded 1 point for each player that you beat within your division. Ties will split the points. The highest total point earners in each division will receive cash payouts at the end of the league. The number of cash winners is dependent on how many players are in each division.
Scores will be submitted via PDGA live scoring. Since the league is sanctioned, ratings will be given on each round for players with a current PDGA membership. This also means that we need to follow the rules as if it were a sanctioned tournament (no picking up tap-ins, flipping discs, etc.).
You cannot compete in a division that is lower than your PDGA rating.
If you are not sure what division you should compete in, check out the PDGA guidelines: https://www.pdga.com/divisions ,
If you're still not sure, feel free to use the contact form and we'll try to help.
We are also offering an ace pot. The price will be $2 per week. The payout will be 75% of the accumulated pot, so there is still a pot leftover for the next ace. If no ace is hit during the league, the pot will be carried over to our next league. We will start the league with $274 in the pot from last year.
Any proceeds go to the Oil Valley Disc Golf Society and will be used for updates and maintenance on the Hasson Park Disc Golf Course.
