Northside Rivals is a bag tag league focusing on play in 10 of North Atlanta's finest courses! This is a points and rounds played driven league that will run a 30 week season between Tuesday March 3rd and Tuesday Sept 22nd 2015 at midnight. There will be no "full 30th week" just the final 30th Tuesday to leave enough planning time between the last round submitted on Sept 22nd and the EOS on Oct 4th.
Northside Courses are Wills, ERP, Sequoyah, Alexander, Central, Oregon, Legacy, Suwanee, Little Mulberry and NGCT for 2015
Rivals will be limited to 30 players for 2015
Player seeding will be determined by when payment is received for this years Rivals Tag. Seeding will start with the #2 tag pending the 2014 EOS Champion (Ryan Watson) returns and is invited back for the 2015 Rivals Season
The player with the MOST POINTS at the end of the 30 week season (Sept 28th) will be awarded the 2015 Rivals Points Series Trophy and the ability to pick the location of the 2015 End of Season Championship (default location will East Roswell Park) on Sunday October 4th from one of the 10 courses named in the league overview.
Points will be updated once a week for the previous weeks play. Due to discgolfscene.com only being able to track bag tags OR points for a league and NOT both simultaneously, points will be posted in the Northside Rivals Bag Tag League Facebook group.
The player with the MOST ROUNDS played will be awarded the 2015 Rivals Iron Man Trophy at the EOS Championship on Sunday October 4th.
The player that wins the EOS Championship on Oct 4th 2015 will start the 2016 Rivals Season with the #1 tag (pending that player returns and/or is invited back by the League Administrator).
***************** Rules of Engagement and League Agreement ****************
1) Must be a Northside Atlanta resident (live North of the top end 285) as of Tuesday March 3rd 2015 to be admitted into the league
2) Tags must be attached to bags or carts and carried whenever you are playing
3) You may challenge anyone carrying a tag and the challenge must be accepted by each player prior to play to be a valid round
4) You may not hide when you have a lower number tag (primarily #1). It will be advised that if you are holding the #1 tag, you make an effort to play within 2 weeks of obtaining that tag
5) If you have to leave during a challenge round (for any reason) you will forfeit your tag and graciously accept the highest numbered tag in the group
6) In the case of a tie, the player who held the lowest numbered tag prior to the match would receive the lower numbered tag, higher amount of points and so on (NO TIEBREAKERS)
7) If you lose or maliciously deface your tag you may be able to PURCHASE a "back-up, I'm not responsible" tag replacement for $20.... SO DON'T LOSE THEM!
8) Anyone caught cheating or holding out will be REMOVED from the league and denied a refund of league entry fees. This is to uphold the premiere and professional image of the Northside Atlanta Disc Golf Club and its players
9) Bag Tag matches during tournaments are automatic, provided someone runs the action. This includes getting everyone’s tag before the first round, tallying everyone’s scores, getting tags distributed at the end of the tournament, and entering the results in the website. If I (Dustin) am playing in a tournament, I will run the action. Tournament bag tag challenges will be based on the cumulative score (all rounds totaled). When entering a tournament challenge based on a cumulative score, you will have to have a tag update recorded also. This is because the tag order will automatically update based on the last rounds results. Enter each round individually and then finally a basic Tag Update
10) We will utilize http://www.discgolfscene.com/ to keep track of the league standings. If you don’t already have an account there, please sign up for one using the email address you give me when you purchase your tag. The account is free. If you use the email address you supplied me, your account will automatically linked to the league.
11) You will enter challenge matches at this link…
http://www.discgolfscene.com/leagues/Northside_Rival_2015
Once a match is entered I will get an email to verify the match. After I verify the match, the results will be displayed on the website and any tag updates will be made. Please enter the matches promptly so the database stays updated accurately. IMPORTANT: The only way this will work is if you enter your tag score and subsequent tag changes on this page; please make sure to do it! I’ll generally check the site each morning for matches that need verification. Please only one person enter the match(s). A good rule of thumb is that the winner enters the match. Duplicate entries generally result in a delay in the match getting verified, until I can check with BOTH people who entered the scores. Please have all matches entered by Monday evening for that weeks play. Matches submitted for previous weeks play will NOT be approved as the Points Series Update will have already been posted to the Rivals group.
Last but not least, tags are property of Northside Atlanta Disc Golf Club. Players agree to uphold the image and integrity of this club and its league rules AT ALL TIMES! We are here as ambassadors to this sport across North Atlanta and anyone not upholding these standards are subject to removal of the league, PERIOD!

Rivals Points Series and league rules....
1) League Day is still going to be Tuesday. There will now be TWO league times, 10am and 5pm (5:30, 6:00 or 6:30 as the days get longer). The courses will again rotate, this year the league will make 5 trips around 6 Northside courses instead of 6 trips around 5 courses. You will ONLY get points for one round on Tuesday (which ever round is your 1st of the day). If you play both rounds on Tuesday the points you bring to the 5pm round will be in play for all other players (assuming it is their first round of the day) but you are EXEMPT from being awarded them for the round. The course for the morning league round will also be the course played for the evening league round.
Example, if 10 players show up for a 5pm Tuesday round and you place 2nd (and you played the 10am round) then the 18 points available for 2nd are nullified and all other places are awarded the respected points as described below. You basically act as a "spoiler" for points but get credit for the round played.
2) Points will be awarded as follows:
League Day rounds (10am and 5pm) - DOUBLE points. For however many players show up multiply by 2 with the most points going to the winner descending to the fewest points to last place.
*Example, 10 players show up Tuesday at 10am so that is 20 points to 1st, 18 for 2nd, 16 for 3rd all the way down to 2 points for last.
Any other round played during the week INCLUDING WEEKEND play will be set at ONE point per player that attends.
Example, 10 players show up to play at 5pm on Thursday or during a tournament on Saturday would be 10 points to be awarded to 1st, 9 for 2nd, 8 for 3rd and so on down to 1 point for last.
3) Points for ties will go to the player that came into the round with the LOWER tag. You must win a league round OUTRIGHT to gain an (x) victory.
4) To be eligible for the Season Championship on Oct 4th 2015, you MUST have at LEAST 30 (THIRTY) Rivals rounds logged over the 30 week season from Tuesday March 3rd and Tuesday September 22nd.
5) Points and Tag moves will ONLY be logged and awarded for playing on one of the designated Northside courses for 2015. If you are playing on a NON-Northside course don't bother exchanging or submitting rounds through Disc Golf Scene.
Players with less than 10 rounds logged for the 2015 Rivals Season will NOT be invited back for the 2016 season
