SMASH Park Handicapped League Rules
â— League will be played every Sunday and will run for 10 weeks starting on April 3rd through June 19th.
◠No league on May 8th (Mother’s Day), May 29th (Memorial Day weekend)
â— One round 18 holes
â— Shotgun start at 3pm sharp! (so be there by 2:45pm) Groups will be determined by a random draw of cards. No changing cards. Grow the sport and play with new people
â— Co-Ed league
â— League fees are $5.00 per week with 60% payout to the week's winners and 20% going to the league party and end of year prizes. 10% goes towards CTP and longest putt prizes. 10% will go to MDGE Club.
â— $1 Ace pot and $1 50/50 will be offered.
â— Payouts will be 60% of total entry money and will be divided for each week at 50% for best score with handicap 30% for 2nd best score with handicap and 20% for best round without handicap. (all payouts will be rounded down to the whole dollar)
â— Points will be awarded for how you finish each week to determine league championship. The points will be award by how many players show up with the winner getting that many points and then awarded in descending order. (example: 20 people show up one week first place by adjusted score will earn 20 points, 2nd place will get 19 points and so on with last place getting 1 point)
â— Only 9 weeks will count towards the championship. If you play 10 weeks your lowest score will not count.
â— Championship will be determined by the highest point total
â— The winner of the league championship will win a custom wrapped DD Recruit Basket. 2nd-5th will win a trophy and prize.
â— You will have an option of paying $1 for Ace pool and $1 for a 50/50 CTP with half of the money going to pay for park maintenance. Any money left in Ace pool at the end of the league will be used for prizes at league party.
â— Handicaps will be 75%. Your handicap is figured out by taking the average of your 3 most recent rounds and subtracting par for the course (56) and multiplying by 75% (0.75). That handicap will be used to take that many stokes off of your score to give you a net score for that week.
◠Last year’s average will be used for your first 3 weeks with each new week being added if you had one. If you do not have a last year average you do not get a handicap until the 4th week.
â— Winner will be posted on league Facebook page and www.discgolfscene.com no later than Wednesday at 11pm (more likely Monday night)
◠All round cards (score sheet) must have players’ names and scores clearly written and final score must be signed by all players on card to verify the score. Penalties will be issued for wrong score turned in.
â— Any rule not specifically stated in these rules we will follow any applicable PDGA rules and defer to a league officer for judgment calls
