This is a disc golf league for ladies who are interested in improving their game or learning how to begin discing in a female setting. Many women have mentioned wanting to learn how to disc golf but feel anxiety when playing with their male friends for various reasons. I wanted to create space for women to feel comfortable and gain confidence playing together. If you don't have any discs, feel free to join us and we can supply you with plastic for the round. League is played with partners where each pair will shoot from whoever gets the better shot. Players are welcome to choose their partners otherwise we randomly pair players together. If we have a group of 8+ players we will split into cards, otherwise < 7 we will play as a group. We will be implementing keeping a 6ft distance for safety.
League is every Monday at 6:30pm. We’ll be rotating between the courses in Washtenaw County with our home base being Bandemer Park in Ann Arbor. Please arrive before 6:30pm so we can tee off on time!
League is FREE!! But you'll also have an optional buy-in for side games. The optional buy-ins will be $3 for a merch CTP prize and/or $2 for a 50/50 cash CTP. 50% of the cash goes to the CTP winner while the other 50% goes towards growing our ace pool!
To keep the focus on new players, I’m asking that AM2 and up players only buy into the $2 50/50 CTP. This request is to allow newer players the opportunity to be challenged with sisters on their level and to experience ignition in winning.
You can win 50% of the ace pool by hitting an ace IF you have bought into at least three weeks of the 50/50 cash CTP. This is a way of keeping the ace pot within girls who are regular or semi-regular to league. You can buy into your choice of side games for each week or spend no cash and just play league!
This is a trans-friendly group. I expect that we as sisters can respect one another. If you don't think you'd be comfortable with that than this group probably isn't a good fit for you.
Disc golf is an amazing experience! Being outside. Hiking. Learning physics & body mechanics. Getting exercise, meeting new faces. Its therapy for the mind, body & soul. Come give it a whirl! Hope to see you Monday. :)
