Thanks to everyone who came out in this year and had fun, the tournament is over, points have been paid and a fresh new year lies before us. I'm thinking this year is going to be better than ever, I have lots of fun ideas. Follow the link below for the 2023 league. This page will no longer be used. For the first week of the new season, we are going to making a bit of a pilgrimage to play a brand new Calhoun-designed course - Chicken Broil Park in Manchester. Follow the new page for more d ... more
This coming Sunday will be the finale of 2022 Season of Flight Path. This Sunday the tournament will be at my place. There will be two rounds, the first teeing at 9:30. Both rounds will be worth double points. This is the final chance for club members to earn points. If you are a club member you are already in. You can become a member day of as well and get in the tournament. Players may play both, or just one round if they so wish. All points earned be paid to club members when points are to ... more
No league tomorrow. Have a good one see you next week 9-11-22 at my place.
Lakeshore this week. Park in the grass overflow area. Short tees we will decide which course morning of based on conditions.
Back to my place this week. A few changes in tees and pin positions from last time.. This will be the tourney layout. Also, the OB bunker grass in the field is gone and mowed so that will be easier.
Rain is supposed to taper off by tee time. game on.
Willow this week. Park at the paved lot. Planning some kind of short tee layout.
Long then shorts. Going to add an extra hole that splits hole one.. for safety... so we will play from one's long tee and short tee both rounds cuz they will be two separate holes. The long tee will play to my green basket and the shorts tee will play to the normal basket. So it'll make it a total of 22 holes for the whole layout. Ace pool is getting up there and I'll have blueberry jam for a pre-round CTP. should be fun
Original course. Mixed tees. Quick putting round on labyrinth after for anyone who wants to earn some extra points.
My place this week. Text me if you need directions (734) 474-1014.
Concordia this week. I'm planning on the usual 20 hole layout, but tinkering with a few holes like usual.
Lakeshore this week. The air show IS happening. Park in the grass overflow area. Im thinking ponds mixed tees.
Lakeshore this week. The air show is happening. Park in the grass overflow area. Im thinking woods mixed tees.
The course is not on DGS yet, but I submitted it so it should be on here soon. I put the civic center on the schedule because it is the nearest course, but Palmer park (not the new palmer park in Detroit) where we are in fact playing and is a few block south of the civic center. I may be able to update it if it is approved before Sunday. I'll post a link and a pin to where we are playing in the comments below. This is a brand spanking new course and I have heard good things. Looking forward to checking it out. See you out there.
I like to switch things up sometimes and this week we will be doing something a bit different.. superclass only doubles. If you are not familiar with superclass discs, they are where this sport began, they are the discs of old.. relics from another age. I'll put the list of acceptable discs below, most of which are really old and hard to find.. but if you don't have any of those, you are still in luck, because an ultimate disc is considered a superclass disc (and flies just as good as ... more
Figure I'll check this one off the list for the season.. we will play the 9 holes as designed, then the combo Safari plus my extra hole two times, so 20 holes. This layout offers some ace runs then some nice positional/bomber long holes with ob in play. Should be fun.
We are heading to Freedom Park this week. Slightly altered format... we are going to play one disc singles. You may choose any one disc to play with for your entire round, putter mid or driver it is your choice. I plan to play the normal nine holes x2, plus my extra hole x2. Plus two bonus combo holes (1tee-2pin, 3 tee- 4pin) for a total of 22 holes. Freedom being a lot of sub 200-ft holes this should play pretty fast. I'm planning on a fast round because I have stuff later going on Sund ... more
League players should park in the grass overflow parking area today at Lakeshore. Thank you
Back to Lakeshore this Sunday. Park in the grass overflow area (request of throw shop), I'll have my basket and do reg over there.
Rolling singles this Sunday, Original course. 11:00 tee.
Water works this Sunday. Planning to play 18 maybe longs and shorts and add a couple fun Safari holes so maybe a total of 21 holes.
Planning to fill up a whole scorecard tomorrow at Willow, meaning 24 holes. The dry loop 2x (longs then shorts) which is 20 holes. In-between the loops, we will play this 4 hole loop around the acorn knoll area for a total 24 holes. The loop goes like this; after finishing hole 1, tee from road and throw all the way down the left side of the parking lot to my basket short of the bike path (par 4), then tee off bike path down to 15's basket (par 4), then 16 long tee to 17 basket (par 4), a ... more
I'm freeing up Sunday for mothers day and moving league to Saturday this week, 5-7-22. I originally posted BMS but changed my mind to Willow. I know its flooded so i am planning to play the dry loop 2x, holes 1-4, then 18-24, once from shorts and once from longs. I'll also have a couple holes added near the paved lot (park at the paved lot).
So I was thinking today, that on the first of May, why not play at Concordia, eh?
Looks like were going to bypass spring and go straight from winter to summer for the weekend with some nice weather for us on Sunday. Planning on the Woods Course from longs.
Please park in the grass overflow parking area as per request of the throw shop.
Easter round at rolling OG course, short tees. Optional labyrinth putting round for points after singles like we did before.
Lakeshore it is this week. I won't be able to make it so thank you to Mike K who will be running things in my absence. Have fun catch you guys next time.
I added 3 months to the flight path season and moved the tournament from June to September. I'm switching the format of the league be to an annual season as opposed to semiannual. So the 2023 season will begin in September, after the tournament. The course will play better in September as opposed to June, also this way 30 bucks will buy you a whole year's membership as opposed to 6 months. This change also gives people more time to become club members and get in the tournament.

Keep that bus going 50 and be sure to bring something to bomb, because we are throwing Sandra Sunday.
It's a good time to hit this course, it's not wet, and not overgrown. I'll have my pop up and I plan to play the usual 20 hole layout I do except maybe a little twist on the extra holes this time.
In an attempt to make the league more fair for some players, I will be henceforth offering two am divisions, "advanced" and "rec". These two divisions will now be offered instead of just a general am division. I had avoided this previously to avoid dividing up an already small group too much, but as the weather gets nice and turnout increases i think this will work out for the best in the long run and possibly encourage more attendance. All divisions offered now include Open, Advanced, Rec, Grandmasters, Female, and Junior.
Shorts. Planning alternative pin 16 / alternate tee 17.
Im avoiding the mudslides on OG. Its a good time to play the new course before its a jungle, short tees. I'll do a 20 hole layout with my basket added.
I'm thinking maybe play the woonds course from loorts
Heading to Taylor this week to play "The Hill". Supposed to be 60 something. Who's ready to show some leg? -1 stroke for the shortest shorts lol.

My place again one more time, gotta take advantage of this frozen ground. We likely won't be out here again until things dry up toward summertime. Think I'll put up something nice for pre-round ctp again.
Text (734) 474-1014 for directions.
Rolling this week. I know the pads were good before the tourney there last week so hopefully they won't be too bad this week. Planning short tees original course.
Also, after the round I'm planning to have a $2 putting round (winner take all) on the labyrinth course, (which shouldn't take more than about 25 minutes hopefully) which will play in separate divisions just like the singles. Points will be awarded for scores just like a regular round but at half value. For example, last place gets 1 point instead of 2. The winner of a 4 person division would get 4 points, as opposed to 8.
Forecast calls for some chilly weather Sunday (sunny at least) so i figure why not take shelter in the dense woods of Willow. Planning on short tees. Park at the paved lot if its plowed (if not then the regular dirt lot).
Heading back to my place this week. We'll have untouched snow for easy finding and lost discs will be safe for later retrieval. Depending on who shows I was thinking maybe we could throw doubles this week. We can take a vote before tee off.
If you need directions text me (734) 474-1014
Heading to Trenton this week to throw McLouth park. Park by the vets library by 18. I'll have my basket and a bonus hole set up and do reg there.
My place this week. If you need directions please text me at (734) 474-1014.
Heading back to familiar ground this week at Willow. I'm likely to play some sort of mixed tee layout but we'll see come morning of how it's looking. Park at the paved lot if they haven't blocked it off. √ ya l8er ;)
This Sunday I'm happy to announce that the ground is solid and we will be heading to the D.. (I'm talking Motown baby! Detroit rock city! Woohoo!) ... To throw frisbees at a place called Palmer park. Yes you are correct, we are playing yet ANOTHER new course this week. How long can this be sustained? Who knows? Who cares? The answer is fries.
OMG I did the Topographical survey of the entire park back in September 2018. Great to see that huge area and old vacant public ball golf course go to good use!
Mike Kowalcyk has been kind enough to invite us to have league at his private course "Willis Mandos" in sumpter township, just a couple minutes south of Belleville. Just text me (734) 474-1014 and i'll be sure to shoot you his address.
**Discgolfscene still has not approved his course yet at the time of posting this so it will possibly display my course (Mallard's Hideout) on the schedule.
School is out and I'm kicking off the season at the scenic campus of Concordia U. Also, bring a wrapped disc if you want to be participate in a wrapped disc exchange for some holiday fun. Im planning some fun stuff this season. Club memberships available. Happy Holidays Merry Christmas be safe much love and peace.
