Sorry all. I was under the impression that we could continue the league page for multiple years, but this is not the case. I have created a new league page for this year, so this one will no longer be updated.

It's finally here, the 1st week of the 2017 season of Deer Lakes League! To start things off, we will be playing the red tees tomorrow and will be teeing promptly at 5:15 to ensure that we will have enough daylight. The sun has been setting around 7:45, so this will give us about 2.5 hours to play. Please be sure to keep up the pace of play so that we do not get stuck out in the dark this year. No lollygagging!
CTP Hole: 15
Birdie Holes: 3, 5, 7, 14, 16, 17 (Pros Only: 6, 9, 11)

Birdie+ Pot: $92 (pays 60%)
BJ Reiher and Dave Hughes came out of the gates hot during doubles carding the best round with a 47 from the red tees with a solid 17 birdies and an eagle to take home $31. Brian Hutchison and Josh Wood were right behind them shooting a 49 and took home $20. Thanks to the 15 players that showed up for the warmup week. Next week we do it for real with the PDGA league kicking off from the red tees at 5:15 sharp.
Also a huge thanks to Eric Nichols and the crew who worked on the course last Sa ...

We'll be meeting tomorrow for a warmup week for the league with a $5 random draw doubles from the red tees. We will be teeing off promptly at 5:15 PM, so please be sure to arrive on time! Last year there were a couple of times where we were ushered out by the police looking to close the gate, so please be sure to be ready to play by 5:15 and play quickly so that we are done by dusk. Thanks!
Due to the forcast of clouds and rain for this evening, I am not sure that we will have enough time to finish a round tonight, so I am going to postpone the first week. We will have a doubles round from the red tees on March 27th, and then start the official PDGA sanctioned rounds on April 3rd. Sorry for the delay.
Deer Lakes Monday Night League is coming back for year #2!!! The first official PDGA sanctioned week will be Monday, March 27th, but we will meet the week before for a $5 random draw doubles round from the red tees to get everyone back in the Deer Lakes spirit.
One change for the new year involves the ace pot. This year, all aces and albatrosses will be paid out, but will be paid out on a sliding scale based on the tees that are being played. Red tees = 40% of the pot, white tees = 60% of ...

For the final official week, the red tees got absolutely obliterated in doubles play. Sean Reed and Vinny Montanari destroyed the red tees with a 45 while Matt Rosier shot a 46 playing Cali taking 2nd out of 6 teams.
This week will be the last week for anything official. We will be teeing off at 5:15 for a doubles round from the red tees due to the reduced sunlight. Lets see if anyone can beat Pat and Speaker's -18 from last week!
We will be playing seeded doubles tonight from the red tees at the normal start time of 5:30. The person averaging the highest rating will be paired with the lowest average and so on. $5 entry fee. Full payout. No ace or birdie pots.
11 folks showed up for random draw doubles tonight with Matt Rosier and Stacey Dunkel winning with a 54 and Adam Couture and Pat Graziani taking 2nd with a 55 from the white tees. Next week we will start at the normal time of 5:30 and will be playing doubles from the red tees.
If you're free tomorrow, lets meet up at 4:00 for random draw triples or doubles. If we have enough people to be divisible by 3 we'll do triples and if not, we will do doubles. $5 entry free.
Random draw triples will include teams of 3 in which everyone will drive, but then whoever's shot you take will not be able to take the next throw, continuing until the group has holed out. For example, A B and C drive and they used B's drive. A and C would then throw the up shot. ...

Doh. We'll have random draw doubles again next week at 5:30.
Due to the lack of daylight last week, for the final week we will be playing the red tees.

CTP Hole: 16 (2nd throw)
Birdie Holes: 3, 4, 8, 10 (Pros Only: 6, 13)
Ace/Albatross Pot: $103 (pays 60%)
Birdie+ Pot: $123 (pays 60%)
The other 40% remains to seed the pot (this has been in the rules from the start). Instead of capping it at a dollar amount, this will also ensure that there is always something in the pot. For example, if an ace were hit tonight, the winner would get $62 and the ace pot would be $41 for next week ... more
Very nice. Where would the $30 come from if the Ace pot was 0? Future pay ins? I mean ,, Just What if ... there were 3 aces tonight? Would $$ come out of your pocket?
Yes. It would come out of my pocket to be repaid through future pay-ins.
It looks like the rain and thunderstorms will be past us by this evening, so league will go on as planned. Hope to see you out there!

Don't forget to cheer on Matt and Troy at AM worlds this week!
I will be running Deer Lakes league tonight while Matt is away at AM Worlds. Looks to be a good night for some disc golf. We will be playing white tees tonight.
Birdie holes: 3,7,13,18(Pro's only: 4, 14)
If you get an Ace or birdie pot we will square up after Matt gets back.
Just a reminder that due to the holiday today, there will be no league this evening. Happy 4th!
Twelve people came out to the Monday weekly league this week to battle the hot weather. Speaking of being hot, Eric Nichols took down the advanced field for the fifth week in a row with a 62. Can anybody knock him off? Matt Rosier won open with a 59 as well as taking down the CTP on hole 12 for $11.
Please note, due to the Independence Day holiday on Monday, there will not be league this coming week. See you all in 2 weeks!
We play with Open, Advanced, and Intermediate divisions. Most weeks everyone plays the white tees. I'll announce a week in advance if we are switching tees.
Gonna be a hot one tonight, so remember to drink plenty of water!
CTP Hole: 2

Ace/Albatross Pot: ~$60 (pays 60%)
Birdie+ Pot: ~$82 (pays 60%)
If you didn't get enough Deer Lakes this weekend, come on out for a beautiful evening tonight! Due to lightening in the area, last week's round had to be canceled so this will be week 10 again. Any money collected last week and not returned, can be carried over to this week.
CTP Hole: 7
Birdie Holes: 6, 9, 12, 13 (Pros Only: 10, 14)
Ace/Albatross Pot: $48 (pays 60%)
Birdie+ Pot: $72 (pays 60%)
I see I am still missing the points update for the Memorial Day round, so I'll be sure to get that in there after tonight's round.
We will be moving back to the white tees for league tonight. I heard that people are moving baskets into the PFDO layout, so if you want to get your practice in for the tournament this weekend, this is your chance!

Matt Rosier also won the CTP with the 2nd shot on hole 13.
We will move back to the white tees again for week 10.
Looks like great weather tomorrow. Be sure to join us afterwards for burgers and dogs and for a bonus round of seeded doubles!
CTP Hole: 13 (2nd shot)
Birdie Holes: 5, 11 (Pros Only: 9)
Ace/Albatross Pot: $106 (pays 60%)
Birdie+ Pot: $58 (pays 60%)
Scores and points have been updated through week 8. Next week will be a special week for memorial day. We will be teeing off at 10:00 am and will be playing the blue tees. There will be no league at 5:30. If the weather is nice, we will hopefully have a cookout with unofficial doubles after the round.
The ace/albatross pot currently sits at $106 while the birdie+ pot sits at $58. Both pots pay out 60% of the total pot if hit.
Awesome weather tonight. See you out there!
CTP Hole: 6 (2nd shot)
Birdie Holes: 2, 6, 8, 18 (Pros Only: 1, 5)
Ace/Albatross Pot: $90 (pays 60%)
Birdie+ Pot: $42 (pays 60%, min $30)
If you were hoping to play in the same weather that the Ironwood was held in, I am sad to disappoint you as it looks like it is going to be sunny 65 tonight. See you all out there!
CTP Hole: 18 (2nd shot)
Birdie Holes: 1, 2, 5, 14 (Pros Only: 6, 18)
Ace/Albatross Pot: $76 (pays 60%)
Birdie+ Pot: $28 (pays 60%, min $30)
For the first time, Eric Nichols hit the birdie pot with a 40' on his last hole of the day, hole 9, birdieing holes 2, 9, 12, and 13 for a total of $43. The birdie pot is now at $28 and will pay out the minimum of $30 if hit next week. No aces or albatrosses this week, so the ace pot goes up to $76.
Matt Rosier shot the hot round of the week for the 3rd week in a row with a 58 in Open. There was a 4 way tie for 1st in Advanced at 64 with Josh Wood winning in a playoff on the 2nd hole. Dave Hughes took down the intermediate division with a 67 and won the CTP on hole 11 for $12.
It looks like there is the possibility that we can dodge the raindrops tomorrow for week 6. Some pins should have been moved so it should be a little different layout this week.
CTP Hole: 11
Birdie Holes:2, 9, 12, 13 (Pros Only: 4, 7)
Ace/Albatross Pot: $64 (pays 60%)
Birdie+ Pot: $59 (pays 60%)

The birdie pot and ace pots continue to grow and will start out at $64 and $59 respectively for next week. We will get some pins moved before league next week to change up the course.
We will hang out on the white tees for a while and the forecast for tomorrow looks like the rain will hold off for a nice Monday evening.
CTP Hole: 10 (2nd shot)
Birdie Holes: 3, 7, 9, 11 (Pros Only: 1, 14)
Ace/Albatross Pot: $51 (pays 60%)

Adam Couture won the CTP on hole 17 for $14.
No word of any aces or birdie pots, so they increase to $51 and $46 respectively.
Moving on back to the white tees for week 4. Please be sure to be ready to go by 5:30 so that we have enough daylight. For the white tees, the ace pot will now be an ace/double eagle (albatross pot); therefore, if you take a 2 on holes 3, 9, or 14, you can also take the ace pot. The birdie pot moves to Ams birdieing 4 holes and pros birdie 6 holes.

The weather is supposed to be fantastic this Monday with a high of 75 and sunny, so I'm looking forward to a large turnout. I have a feeling that the ace and birdie pots might not make it past week 3! Once again we will be playing the red tees as I want to be sure that we finish with plenty of sunlight.
CTP Hole: 8
Birdie+ Pot Holes (all): 4, 7, 8, 11, 13, 16 (Pros only: 6, 14, 18)
The ace and birdie+ pots should both move above $30 this week, but since they only pay out 60% of the pot, I would expect that any aces or birdie pots will still be worth the minimum of $30.
See you Monday!
Eight people came out to brave what turned out to be an inconvenient drizzle for the second week of the Deer Lakes League. Matt Rosier tied the course record set last week by Cody Winget with a 52, Adam Couture wins Advanced for the 2nd week in a row with a 60, and BJ Reiher and Zach Schweltzer tie for first in Intermediate with 57s.
Once again, the ace and birdie+ pots live on, but haven't seeded enough money, so they will still be paying out the minimum of $30 if hit next week.
