The league is points based and plays all the courses at M Broadway in a handicapped match play format. League play is open to any one however players who join the league are eligible for pay outs and also earn points towards berths in the MI Match Play State Championships. The League alternates between courses, playing doubles from the long tees and singles from the shorts.

Final week
Final week of the season we're on the north, with Ricardo and Courtney battling it out for first and second. Meanwhile Eric and Josh play for third and fourth money. The rest of us still have a shot at the ace pool one more time! If no aces are hit we will do random draws for whats left in $20 increments at the Riv during pay outs.

Final 4
Congrats to Ricardo, Eric, Josh and Courtney.
Eric will play Courtney and Ricardo will play Josh this week. The winner will play in the championship match next week and the losers will play for 3rd and 4th. As usual doubles for those not in the tourney. Please note the ace pool is available for all league players whether playing in the tourney or the doubles.

I have posted the bracket with updated match results at clubdeaddiscgolf.com. I will update again when I get the results of other matches. FYI this weeks matches determine who cashes in the tourney. Ricardo has already taken one spot three more left to be determined. See you all next Sunday.

Tournament Play
Please note that we will play every match possible the first round tomorrow. So if you're in the second round of the bracket and your match is already set we will be playing that match first thing tomorrow! If you don't have a first round match you can play skins or doubles during the morning round. It's going to be a hot day so come prepared for the weather. We will take a short lunch break between rounds.

I figured the point money today and the payouts for the tourney and points race. Point money figured at 10cents a point. After rounding the points and adding $1 to everyone who played more than 4 weeks we were left with $1100 for payouts. Plus we still have the ace pool which is live throughout the tourney.

As you can see there were some changes in the standings with the double points day! Final regular season week

Tournament finals
The bracket tourney starts Sept 24 and we plan on ending Oct 15.If you are unable to attend on Sept 17 please let me know in advance, that you will be there on the 24th for the start of the tourney. We will be playing $5 doubles each week for those eliminated from the tourney. On October 15th after the championship match we will head to the Riviera for payouts.

North Course 8-27
Just a reminder we're back to the North Course this Sunday playing doubles. Remember you need a minimum of 4 weeks of league play and be in attendance on Sept 17 to qualify for the league tourney. The tourney begins Sept 24, we'll play 2 rounds. Players eliminated from the tourney will play $5 dubs from the shorts for the duration of the tournament. Awards will be given out at the Riviera following League Championship match.

We'll be on the South again this week playing singles from the shorts. Lots of ties this past week, as the standings get tighter and tighter. Remember the points race can change each week as players drop low points weeks! Going to be a barn burner with just 5 weeks to go.

Championship Tourney!!
FYI the final regular season week is Sept 17th, League members MUST be caught up on fees and PRESENT on this date! Only league members present on the 17th will qualify for the league tournament starting the following week on the 24th. If you absolutely can't make it on the 17th make sure you let me know in advance or you won't be eligible for the tourney.

First Half/Second Half
Congrats to Will Harroun our first half champion! The second half gets under way this week, playing dubs on the North. Almost everyone will see a big boost in your point totals when I post this weeks scores. The reason is the second half standings will be based on your top 16 points weeks.

Ace pool
Just a heads up as the ace pool climbs. We cap the ace pool at $100. Capping the ace pool at $100 means the most an ace is worth is $100 dollars and a second ace pool is started for the $ over 100. This means there is always an ace pool available!

New format
We will play 2 halves followed by a Bracket elimination tourney at the end of the season. We will begin league play on the North course Long tees. FYI we will be using the Woods course also in the regular rotation.
Any one may play on a weekly basis however only league members earn points and payouts.

The woods course is an alternate layout for the South. All the points are earned on an idividual basis. So when you play dubs your points earned go to you as an idividual.
