Final Week Going to BRATS

We are heading to BRATS this weekend to finish our season at a fun and beautiful private course. I ask that everyone brings $2 to donate to Terry for letting us play. So that would be $7 to play and $9 to play and Ace pool. The address is 5171 Waters Rd, Ann Arbor, MI 48103.

We are playing from the Reds & Whites.

The swinging basket will be in effect and swinging for holes 9 & 18. Each team will also be responsible for doing 9 holes of scoring. Once the scorecard is in my hand it ... more

I'm not sure what holes will be the CTP or Longest Putt or Birdie Bonus yet. I'm trying to remember the course to see what would work best but I'll probably just check with Terry on Saturday.

The CTP prize this week is a couple of limited edition Macro Teslas.

Quarters will be done on I think hole 6 from the Reds. It's the short blind hole where if you are to short then you hit the bushes, I'll check with Terry on Saturday on what hole that is.

We have 8 guys within 5 points of the lead so it's going to be a fun day to see who will finish on top. If there is a tie at the end for first then those who are tied will play 3 hole playoffs starting at hole 1 of the shorts until there is a winner. If they play all 18 of the shorts and mids with no winner then they'll be co champs.

Afterwards we'll have a putting competition on the hanging basket. You get 5 throws. 1 each from 15, 20, 25, & 30 feet and then your choice for the last one. They are worth 3, 5, 7, & 10 points. Whoever has the most points will get the disc clock. 2nd & 3rd place will get those snap on buzzzes. The swinging basket may be in effect.

Water Works this week

We are going to Water Works this week to play 2 rounds of 9 from the shorts. CTP will be hole 5 and Longest Putt will be hole 6. You have both rounds to try and win it. For CTP, Juan has donated some really cool dyed discs for CTP. Birdie Bonus holes will be 3 & 9 the first round and 4 & 8 the second round.

1. We will do teams based on total standings. Whoever has the lowest points (men or women) will get to pick their partner and work our way up until everyone is picked. Going to Rolling Hills Week 7

We are going to everyone's home course this weekend, the rolling hills of Ypsi. This week the CTP winners will take home a Dynamic Discs Slammer with a special stamp from Infinite Discs. I'm doing something a little different too. For the women the CTP will be hole 7 and for the men CTP will be hole 13. Longest Putt will be hole 16 for both.

Summer Schedule

For the summer season I'm looking at starting June 3 and going until July 29. Saturdays meet at 3:30 throw at 4. That'll be 9 weeks.

August would be a break from league play but these are what I had for playing that I'd hope you join me.

August 5th - Ace Race at Water Works. We try and hit some aces together and then we go get Chinese food then go back and get our awards if any of us hit Aces.

August 12th - Off Week or Make up week

August 19th - Flip City Trip - We� ... more

League Discs

I'm doing what I can to have our league stamped discs in time for our first week of the Summer league on June 6th. To do that I need to have what discs people want or kind of discs. All of the options are in the comments on our league page. Go there and see if there's anything you want and comment what you want. A couple of people already have but some more opinions would be welcome. I'm not going to guarantee that I'll get the disc you want but if you tell me then I'll do my best to get what everyone wants.

Or you'll be stuck with choosing from what I order and then you can't complain.

PLAYING LAKESHORE THIS WEEKEND 4/29

We are playing Lakeshore this weekend. I'll be changing the schedule to reflect that. If it's raining, we'll play, if there's lightning we'll see if it will pass and then play or not. If we don't get to play Saturday we can talk about moving it to Sunday.

Change for this week the 29th

I went to Freedom yesterday and it's a mess. If you go in the woods you'll be walking in a foot of water. The tee pad for 2 plus 10 feet behind it and 30 feet in front is under water. And with rain in the forecast for the end of this week and into Saturday it's going to be worse.

I'm getting permission to play at Lakeshore instead since that course handles water nicer than most. If that doesn't happen then we'll be playing Bandemer. As soon as I know for sure I& ... more

Ace Pool Changes

Here is what the rules say about the Ace Pool: Ace pool is $2 per week. If you’re a regular of the league then you win 80% of the pot. If you’re new then you win 50% of the pot. Showing up at least 5 times will be considered a regular. The remaining money stays in the pot for the next ace hit.

I'm going to change it to be this:
If you've only been once then you win 50%.
If you've been twice then you win 60%.
If you've been three times then you win 70%.
If you've been four times then you win 75%.
If you've been five or more times then you win the 80%.

Kensington next week

Hey everyone, I'm not seeing any events at Kensington next Saturday except ours on disc golf scene so if you have a link to any event happening on Saturday send it to me.

Right now we'll still plan on going to Kensington and will probably do groups of 4 next week and try that out.

Tracer is CTP

The Streamline discs I ordered made it here and will be the CTP tomorrow. These have a sweet dragon stamp on them and you're going to want it. I also have the Sketch for the disc stamp that I think you all will love.

Also bring 5s and 1s tomorrow. I don't have change and if everyone brings me 20s I'm just going to keep them as a tip (/sarcasm).

Custom Stamp

Streamline Discs

I don't think that the streamline discs that I ordered for the CTP will be here this week because of the upcoming holiday. If they aren't, I will have another disc to give away this week and will give the streamline discs at our next CTP prize week.

Going to Indy Week 3

We are heading out to Independence Lake this week for 24 holes of fun. Here is the address: 3200 Jennings Road W., Whitmore Lake, MI, 48189 (Independence Lake County Park).

CTP will be hole 7. I'm giving out a couple of the new Streamline discs from MVP this week. The Longest Putt will be hole 8. The Birdie Bonus Holes will be 4, 9, 10, & 18.

Ace Pool is now at $78 so you'll take home at least $62 if you hit an ace this week.

There are 7 weeks left and you have to come to 5 different weeks to be entered into the basket drawing.

Last week was wet and muddy but we still had 11 people out to play and have fun. No aces but a couple of metal hits. Ace Pool is now at $58.

This week we are going to the Gulch. Here's the address but you may need to put Whitmore Lake in the city instead: 10559 Merrill Rd, Hamburg Twp, 48189.

CTP will be the Gulch hole which I think is hole 14. Longest Putt will be hole 17. The Birdie Bonus holes will be 5, 7, 10, & 13.

If any new women show up then they will draw cards and whoever has the lowest card will be teamed with the highest ranked guy so 1/NewWoman, 2/NewWoman, 3/4, 4/3, 5/2, 6/1. Any remaining men we'll start with the lowest ranked man and he'll pick his partner from the remaining men or he can pick Cali if he wants instead. If their are new men then they will draw cards and whoever has the lowest card will get to pick first. This is how we'll do it the rest of the season.

We are starting at Willow this week. They just put up a sign that it's now $3 to play all day and you're supposed to pay where you pay to park. Remember meet at 3:30 and tee off at 4. Bring your bag tags and $15 to start.

It's probably going to be wet so bring a pair of shoes to change into afterwards.

This week I'm giving away a couple of DX Rhyno's for CTP and for the longest putt with everyone I'll be giving away a Winter Wizard disc.

Custom Stamp

Hey everyone,

I want to get custom stamp discs this fall but I want something jaw dropping that will make people want our stamp. I want it to have our name on it somewhere and then just a cool stamp.

You have until August to submit your ideas or if you know of any artists who may be willing to do a cool stamp let me know their costs and a sample of their art.

If we pick your stamp then you will get 3-5 discs of our stamped disc and everyone will get one with their league fees.

Start working on some designs. I've been liking skulboy lately if you want some ideas.
