Week 10 - Peter's Creek

Get your money in if you're coming - I'll do my best to solidify cards ASAP...the early cards are more solid, but if you're at PC and ready to go, I'm probably going to try and get you out on the course playing. I may have some groups start on hole 9, as well. Again, if there's a three-pack that comes up on your group, it's possible that they have more holes left than you do, so let them play through if they're playing faster.

Week 9 - Davis Park

Reminder - default tee time is going to be at 6pm tomorrow! We might have some cards go out sooner if people are there sooner, and later if people can't get there in time. I'm going to try and do the last group as a 3-pack, so they can play fast, so if you're on an earlier card and they run into you, please let them play through. They'll have a lot more golf left than your group will.

If you know you want to play but you can't make it by 6pm tomorrow, please let me know sooner than later - I want to plot out the best way to let folks start late.

Week 9 - Davis Park

Week 8 payouts are up! Reminder that Week 9 is going to start at 6:00. We will have one (or two if necessary) card starting as late at 6:30 - if you need to or want to be on that card, let me know. Davis can take a while to play, so you're going to be pushing sunset towards the end of the round if you are on the late card.

Ace Pot is way up there! Probably $180 for the next ace!

Get signed up if you're coming - looks like it won't be a total washout. The ace pot is getting huge, so come take your chance!

This is going to be the last league round that starts at 6:30 - next week we're starting at 6:00, and then 5:45 for the final week. For weeks 9 and 10, if you can only make it by 6:30 and you still want to play, let me know, and I'll see if we can pull together a card that starts later and doesn't mind maybe finishing with a little bit of darkness.

If you want to start on hole 1 and are ok with starting about 10 minutes later than everyone else, let me know. There's a late card going off then - everyone else will start at the normal time.

BTW two sort-of announcements: first, the last two weeks of the league will be starting a little earlier just for daylight - 6:00 at Davis in Week 9 and 5:45 at PC week 10. If you want to play and can only make it like 15 minutes late, we can also have a late card going off those weeks - but ... more

Payouts have been paid out; get yourself signed up for Week 5...the forecast has been trending better, so I'm optimistic we'll be mostly dry. Come check out all the work that's been done out at Davis - the downed trees on 9 have been removed, the fairway cleaned up. 6 is also cleared out by the basket a little.

Davis Park Update (A good one!)

Adam, Boyd, and I were out there tonight - the pin on 3 is moved to the left side (hasn't been there for years) - we took some trees out to make the line more fair, too.

Also, 8 has a mando now! The alder bushes on the right side have been cleared out and there's a log marking the drop zone in case you go out to the field. It looks so different!

The pins are almost all moved to shorter positions, so take your shots at the giant ace pot we have going! Last week when I went out there, I didn't even notice the homeless (Although I did notice this dude playing really slowly with just one disc, and he seemed to be watching a video on his phone as he was walking down the fairway. Let me play through, dude!)

Week 2, Davis next week

Payouts for Week 2 are out. I'm done doing Kincaid leagues - this week was the most stressful and annoying league I've ever done, both as a league director, and as a participant. Moose! Bear! stupid backups! lost discs! Give me some abandoned shopping carts any day.

Speaking of, we return to Davis next week! I believe all the baskets except 8 have been moved from last league.

Week 2 Kincaid update

As you may or may not have heard, a bear decided to post up on the teepad of 16, making it impossible for a couple of groups to play the hole last night. Fortunately or unfortunately (no one had an ace or a bogey on the hole, so it's not making a huge amount of difference), I'm going to have to remove that hole from competition, and everyone played a 17-hole layout last night. Your scores might look a little weird - the hole called 16 if you look at the hole-by-hole scoring is actually the second to last hole on the course (where we lost the tree a few weeks ago) and the hole called 17 is the final hole of the course (up the hill, in the bowl to the left).

Also, baskets at Davis have been moved! I hear rumors that there are going to be a couple of mandos added to the course, too!

Hi, folks, let me know if you're coming this week. I will NOT be there, so if you'd like to be my eyes and ears on the ground, let me know. If you're coming and plan to pay in cash, please give your cash to someone who has Venmo/Paypal and have them send it to me on your behalf. $224 in the ace pot! (Since it's getting to be a big number, just a reminder that we pay out half of the ace pot for aces - still will be over $112!)
