Last year, our spring session was much more popular and successful than the summer one, so we're looking at just running this in the spring before tournament season is in full swing.
This is still going to be some of the familiar faces you're used to seeing at a 24 Cha!ns round, but we *will* be following the PDGA Tournament standards and rules for all rounds played. Feel free to visit www.pdga.com for the current player's guide and other resources. Of course, you can always ask questions here, and we'll be more than happy to answer.
So, how does this work? Basically, you can have your round rated by the PDGA for only ONE DOLLAR! You must have a current PDGA membership and number for us to log your scores with the PDGA. You'll get a certain number of points based on where you finish each week, and those points add up every week throughout the season. This is currently set up as a 10-Week season, so you will earn points for each of the 10 sessions you attend and compete.
*** PLEASE NOTE *** You do not have to be a PDGA member to participate in this league; however, if you want to have your scores tracked and scored by the PDGA, you must have a current membership. The $1 entry applies whether you are a PDGA member or not.
Pay close attention to the schedule. I'm setting up the weeks right now, and we're going to try to play most of the great courses in the area. I'll try to schedule some of them according to when they play at their best. We'll generally be playing the "short" teepad assignments. We can always vote if everyone wants to play the harder teepads.
We're also adding in an *optional* $2 ace pool and CTPs for those that want an opportunity to win some cash and/or merchandise during the round. We can also talk about other cash games if the group wishes to participate.
Let us know if you have any questions, and we look forward to seeing you all on Thursdays starting in March!
