About this league

24 Cha!ns is a group of highly dedicated Disc Golfers whom fear no weather, play year round at courses throughout lower Michigan & beyond!!

LEAGUE DETAILS
Spring/Summer League rounds are on Fridays. We will meet at 5:30pm & we flip for teams at 6:00am. This league is always FREE to play. We do have $2 ace pool and $3 CTP's every week, they are always optional. Courses are decided by vote or at the counsel members' discretion except for the last Friday of the month which will always be at Waterworks aka Pirate's Bay in Ypsilanti (unless otherwise specified). Pirate's Bay rounds are also $5 Freddy rounds + $2 Ace Pool & $3 CTP's for a total of $10 (again, optional).

Voting for courses will start as soon as a post is made and will end on Wednesday at noon. Voting will take place here & Facebook. One vote per pirate, more than one will result in your vote being nullified. Also, if you cannot attend, don't vote at all. All ties will result in a macro disc round at a course of the counsels choosing or some other form of shenanigans round! Usually rounds are doubles but we will also play singles, ChaChi, ript, one disc wonder, macro discs and are always open to new games and format ideas. Tarzan & dirty dollars are frequent during the rounds.

We will most likely finish in the dark so make sure you have glow discs, LED lights or glow tape on your discs if you want to finish the round (unless you don't care about potentially losing a disc). Some pirates will have glow something for you to borrow but that is not a guarantee so it is best to secure those items before hand.

PIRATE CODE OF THE HIGH SEAS
There are only a few rule...I know, I know...since when do pirates have rules! Without rules it is chaos and though we are pirates this is supposed to be fun for all!

Shenanigans is not only allowed but encouraged! That as it may be, you cannot touch a player...with anything while in the motion of throwing and you cannot touch a disc in flight...with anything...period.

If you get hit by someone's throw and are directly in their path to the basket that person gets a "re-throw" and you get a warning. If you get hit again by anyone's throw in the same manner during that same round they get a re-throw & you get a +1 to your team score. This is setup to make sure everyone is behind the action as much as possible.

Though we encourage shenanigans remember that we are all here to have FUN, as a GROUP. If you are having a ton of fun and everyone else is not having fun, chances are your are the a-hole sucking all the fun out of the course. On the flip side of that if you are concentrating all of your shenanigans on a single person that is also very uncool and won't be tolerated either, spread the shenanigans love!

We are serious about one thing only, HAVING FUN (and maybe dirties lol). If you have come to be serious, compete and win you might be coming to the wrong league. We of course follow basic disc golf rules (foot faults for example) but there is very little courtesy. If you can't handle someone shifting there bag or throwing something in the garbage while you're teeing off you most likely will not like a dozen+ people yelling at you, just saying! Butt hurt is typically met with even more shenanigans, it is proven!

SCOREKEEPER RULES
We have been doing pretty good with the score keeping rules so we have amended them. As soon as you have turned your score into the score keeper you may throw on the next tee provided that everyone is finished putting on the previous hole.

If you say one score and your partner says another (3 and a 4 for example) we will add them up (you now have a 7). If you are new to the league you'll get a warning. If you or your partner say 2 different scores (we got a 3...no wait a 2...for example) you will get the higher score.

These rules are designed to help out our score keeper, it is not easy to keep 12+ team's scores at once. I know they are somewhat harsh but if you use your brain it should never happen. If you don't understand, try being score keeper for us a round and you will agree completely!!

This is by far more fun than any league out there, hope to see a lot of new & familiar faces out there this spring/summer season, CHAAAAAAAAA!!!
