Week 20 results

Huge thanks to the 38 people who came out Labor Day weekend for the official finale of the Deer Lake Monday League and braved the blue tees. BJ Reiher came out shooting hot setting a new league record for the blues with a 58 and took down the Open division. Mike Vasey eked out a one stroke victory in the Advanced division with a 62 while Tim Sladisky did the same in the Intermediate division with a 68.

Huge thanks to the 38 people who came out Labor Day weekend for the official finale of the Deer Lake Monday League and braved the blue tees. BJ Reiher came out shooting hot setting a new league record for the blues with a 58 and took down the Open division. Mike Vasey eked out a one stroke victory in the Advanced division with a 62 while Tim Sladisky did the same in the Intermediate division with a 68.

Macky D. walked away and the 2nd biggest winner on the day snagging the CTP on hole 2, putting his drive a mere 3' from the pin, but the big winner on the day was Zach Schweitzer who carded the ace on hole 11 for a $228!

Nobody hit the birdie pot on the day, so we will carry over the $354 pot to next year. After Zach's ace, there is a total of $57 still in the reserve to start off next year.

No doubles tonight

Due to the onslaught of rain this weekend, the cloudy conditions, and waning daylight, there will be no doubles this evening. We'll try again next week if we can get some clear skies.

Week 20 - Labor Day Finale - Blue Tees - 10:00 AM tee off!

Come on out and celebrate with the Deer Lakes League Finale this Labor Day at 10AM. We will be playing one round from the blue tees to mostly A-pins, so the scoring should still be hot. The birdie pot is sitting at over $325 and the ace pot at over $250, so somebody could definitely walk away with a large payday. Be sure to join us after the round for some burgers and dogs and to discuss all of the unlucky breaks you got during your round!

With only one week left in the official PDGA portion of Deer Lakes League, I am going to push the last week of singles back to next Monday, Labor Day. I have put a post up on Facebook inquiring about the start time, so please be sure to go and vote there as to when you would like to start.

In stunning fashion, the rain completely held off last week and we had pretty perfect weather. BJ took advantage of the nice weather and come out hot shooting a 55 to take down the open division. Macky D grabbed another win in Advanced shooting a 59 and Dustin Schrock got the win in a tightly contested Intermediate division with a 70.

Congratulations to Chris Lachendro for the first ace of the year on hole 11 with a Nebula bouncing off of a root, straight into the basket. Chris takes home $198 for the ace!

Memorial Day Results

I am not sure what was hotter today at the Deer Lakes Monday League Memorial Day Special; the temperature or the scores! We had a total of 39 people show up to test their mettle from the blue tees.

Chris Lachendro walked away with the hot score on the day, taking down Open with a 60! Tom Sears snagged the win in Advanced, shooting a 69. Besting a monstrous 22 person intermediate field was Michael Vasey shooting a 70! The big winner on the day was Troy Wagner who took home the CTP on hole ... more

I am not sure what was hotter today at the Deer Lakes Monday League Memorial Day Special; the temperature or the scores! We had a total of 39 people show up to test their mettle from the blue tees.

Chris Lachendro walked away with the hot score on the day, taking down Open with a 60! Tom Sears snagged the win in Advanced, shooting a 69. Besting a monstrous 22 person intermediate field was Michael Vasey shooting a 70! The big winner on the day was Troy Wagner who took home the CTP on hole 5 for $32!

After a lunch break, we had 8 teams of doubles head back out for some red, white, and blue doubles (1-6 from the whites, 7-12 from the blues, 13-18 from the reds). Tom Sears and Josh Gibbins walked away the winners of the doubles round with a 53!

Big thanks to everyone who came out as well as BJ for cooking up the food between round, Troy for counting scorecards, and Lori for picking up some additional supplies during the round.

Memorial Day

It looks like the weather is going to be pretty amazing tomorrow, so be sure to make it out to Deer Lakes for the Monday league teeing off at 10:00 AM. For those new to the league, the base entry fee is $7, but we also have three additional optional pots for $1 each ($10 for everything).

The three optional pots are as follows;
-CTP (closest to pin) which will be on hole 5.
-Ace/albatross pot which will pay out 80% of the current pot (estimated value ~$230) if you hit an ace or a 2 on a par ... more

Memorial Day Special - Blue Tees! - 10:00 AM tee off!

Come on out for a special Memorial Day Deer Lakes League! We will be teeing off with one round from the blue tees so be sure to bring out your big boy (and girl) pants!

After the round, we'll have a small cookout with burgers and dogs and some leftover beverages from the Ironwood.

For those who wish to stick around, there will be a $5 doubles round with partners based off of how you finished from the blue tees (highest score paired with lowest score). Hope to see you there!

Last week 11 people came out to brave the blustery snow flurries for Deer Lakes League. J. Gary came away as the big winner taking down Open with a 54 and cashing in the CTP on hole 5 for $10! Brandon Reefer snagged the win in Intermediate shooting a 63.

This week we will be playing the white tees and will continue to start at 5:15 to be sure that we finish in time. Weather looks perfect out, so I hope to see y'all out there!

And we're back! Deer Lakes PDGA League officially begins tomorrow! We will be teeing off promptly at 5:15, so be sure to arrive at least a couple of minutes early to sign up. Everyone will be playing the red tees to be sure that we finish in the daylight and don't get kicked out by the cops. Lots of birdie opportunities. The ace and birdie pots carried over from last year, so plenty of opportunities to make $$$ tomorrow!

We're back!

Are you ready for Deer Lakes Monday League? This week we will be kicking things off with a warm-up week of doubles from the red tees. We will be teeing off promptly at 5:15, so please be sure to arrive early to sign up. $5 entry with 100% payouts and we will do a A/B pool random draw doubles. No ace or birdie pots for this week, but I'll bring out something for a CTP. Hope to see everyone out there for the new year!
