Welcome to a new year of the CDC league! We are very excited about
this year and there are some changes to make sure we
address and let you know about. Hopefully these changes will be
accepted by everyone and it will allow for a more enjoyable time
out on the course.
1. Non-Handicapped League: Last year as you know, we tried to have a league
that introduced handicap scoring. Although this sounded good and had great
intentions behind them, it seemed to alienate and discourage a lot of players.
We hope that by removing the handicap scoring will bring back some of our valuable
players that were missing from last year. It will also ease some of the frustration
and anxiety on our end at the end of the round in calculating and keeping
up with everyones scores.
2. We will be staying on the same schedule as last year, which will be
every Sunday at 3pm unless otherwise stated on Facebook and during league meetings.
The league start date is April 3rd and we are unsure about the actual end date.
It will be around the August-September time frame.
3. Points - We will be keeping up with points as in previous years and will be posted
on DiscGolfScene.com. Point leaders will be rewarded at the end of the league season.
4. Cost - Tags will cost $10. After you buy your tag, it will be $1 each Sunday
you want to play. There will be an optional low round for $5 and ace pot for $2.
5. Card Selection - Scorecards are going to be randomized again as in previous years. This
allows for more interactivity with players of different levels and can foster
new relationships within the group.
