2014 ADGO Bag Tag - 1st challenge @ Redan Sat 2/15

Rain forecasts for Saturday 2/08 is currently showing a 50-70% chance of rain. There is also more rain expected on Sunday 2/09.
I'm postponing the 1st bag tag challenge until Saturday 2/15. Hopefully the weather will play nicer on that date.

Cost per tag is still just $15 for the year.

Sign in will be from 9AM - 9:45AM.
We will get the round started as close to 10AM as possible.
This will be a 1 round bag tag challenge based on best score. Ties will need to play off to determine tag seeding.

2013 ADGO Bag Tag Finals - postponed to Sat Jan 4th

All,

The weather forecast for tomorrow is just bad. Rain looks like it starts tonight and goes through tomorrow afternoon with approx. 1/2 of rainfall, temps in the low 40's, and a wind in the 8-10mph range. Overall a nasty day.

Due to this, I am going to postpone the Bag Tag Final event until Saturday Jan 4th. Hopefully, we will have dry weather on that date.
I apologize for the last minute change on the date.

I have had numerous requests from individuals concerning the scheduled rain on Saturday and whether this would effect the date of the Final Bag Tag challenge.
My plan is to still have the event on Saturday, as this is the only free weekend day I have free through the end of the year.
We may change the venue though to a single round Bag Tag Challenge. I would prefer the match play with brackets, but I also don’t want anyone in the rain all day so they get sick right befo ... more

All 2013 ADGO bag tags are sold. There will not be day of signups. You cannot use the tag bag of someone who is unable to attend.

General OB rules
2 meter rule is not in effect.
Surrounded by water is OB.
Football field behind hole #3 basket and on the right by hole #4 is OB. This means inside the chain link fence.
Over the residential fences on holes 6, 12, 13, 14, 17 are OB. Do not retrieve your disc during your match.

1st round to start as soon as the brackets are set up and I can get everything rolling

Seeded brackets will be set up based on your current bag tag#. Generally the lowest tag will play highest tag, second lowest tag will play second highest tag, etc.

Each round is 9 holes of match play, except the finals. Finals for both A & B brackets will be 18 hole match play.
Once a player has won more holes, than there are holes remaining, the match is over. (e.g. If Player A has already won 4 holes with 3 holes remaining to be played, the match is over)

Do not turn in your tag when you arrive. Each match you play will be a match between yourself and your opponent. At the end of the challenge, swap bag tags (if applicable). It is the responsibility of the person who won the match to come report the results to me. I will need to verify each person’s bag tag# and the score (e.g. Player A – 4 holes; Player B – 3 holes).

Players who lose in the first round (or a play-in round) will have the opportunity to play in the B bracket. There will be a $5 additional charge per player, but this is added to the payout for this bracket.

OB's
All of the paved walking path that runs throughout the course. Disc must be surrounded by asphalt. The path can only be used for the drives on holes 9, 11, & 13.
Hole 1 - Drive from the pad by the field house. Into the ball fields on the right is OB.
Hole 8 has a stone circled 'frog pond' on the right side of the fairway. It comes into play on the drive. Also, on the approach to the basket is a shallow ditch. In the ditch and surrounded by water is OB. Excess overflow water in this area plays as casual.
Hole 9 - a Mando at the dog-leg. After the dog-leg, a 'frog pond' comes into play on the approach shot to the basket. Black silk fencing on the right side of the fairway plays as casual. Over the black silk fencing behind the basket is OB.
Hole 10 - a double mando off the tee pad.
Hole 11 - the island hole. Missed shots will throw from the drop zone with a one stroke penalty.
Hole 13 - over the fence on the right is OB. There is a ditch behind the basket. In the ditch and beyond is OB.
I think that is all the standard OB's used at Moseley. Someone let me know if I missed one.

Updating tags & matches on discgolfscene.com

We have a problem with matches getting posted on discgolfscene.com. I have spent several hours this year trying to correct tags as people notify me of errors. At the McCurry challenge this morning, 9 of the 22 players turned in different tag numbers than they were showing on discgolfscene. I know there are more incorrect ones out there.

Please post your rounds. It generally takes less than 5 minutes to do this.
