I agree, we need to set down ASAP to establish the parameters of a Glow League. I'm okay with meeting to discuss anytime other than 7am to 4pm on weekdays, or during a K-State FB or BB game. :-) Re ... show more ›

Mark Kewley We need to get together off the course and talk about this and glow league soon.
I think Rick deserves a short break though. It's a lot of work putting in the sores every week.
Good job Rick!

Kevin Clouse When do we start playing the fall league? And what time? Nov 6, 2012
Rick Petrie Sorry I have not yet posted last nights league results. I will get that done tomorrow night. Sep 21, 2012
Rick Petrie Damen,
You should post this info on the Talk tab of the DFOK club page. A ton more people "follow" that permanent page than this single season page.

Jon, as I understand it from the discgolfscene site administrator, the scores in the little green boxes are the differences between (your) posted score and the average score for that specific course. ... show more ›

Austin Cranston I think it's your average for that month on that course or something like that. I'm still planning on going for sure Aug 24, 2012
Jon Tveite Can anyone explain to me how the little numbers under posted scores work, exactly? I take it they have something to do with averages, but the numbers don't follow any pattern I can discern.

I am still thinking about Miltonvale. Anyone else? The more the merrier....

For what it's worth, I believe Kirk is referring to "handicap" appropriately for this discussion. In ball golf, most courses assign a handicap index for each hole (essentially ranking them in terms o ... show more ›

Jon Tveite Rick said: "Not to mention I've made some serious "get into trouble" decisions lately on #1 & #2..."

Ah, but user error doesn't constitute hole difficulty.... :-)

Rick Petrie Clarification: Hole #9, I should probably be calling them legit birdie opportunities. (but haven't made my putts). Aug 23, 2012

After playing tonight's round, I realize I need to revise my earlier rankings... but I'm too lazy to... but if I did, here's what would happen. #9. I would move as even easier because I've finally f ... show more ›

I think there is a need for holes of all difficulty levels. There is a special kind of pressure on you when playing birdie holes: you know you've got to make 2 to keep pace with others, and a bogey is ... show more ›

My list is similar to both yours, but a little different. I am basing it on how hard I think the holes are to make a par 3 or better on. It might be interesting to do a different list on how hard they ... show more ›

Kirk, I have one more question. Are you wanting us to rate our own chances/ability to make par on each hole, or our chances/ability to get strokes below par? For example, lately I'm just as apt to ... show more ›

Rick Petrie Interesting thoughts, plus in my opinion it kind of depends on the weather (snowy season). I don't have my list completed, but some of mine are totally opposite from yours.

(by the way, should it be more like "level of difficulty" rather than "handicap"? but maybe I don't understand.)

Rick Petrie Note: Considering no points were issued, there is no way to make the discgolfscene.com "computer" understand who won the tie breakers... Thus they show up as ties. Good news: We rarely play non-points league rounds. Jul 5, 2012
