Fairbanks Disc Golf Association invite you to the 2021 Fairbanks Disc Golf Association, Night Doubles League’s!
For those not familiar with our Monday Night Doubles League keep reading. The schedule you can find it at the end of this post. NDL is a unique doubles league in which you have the same partner all season and additionally it’s formatted for all skill levels including beginning players. League nights are on Wednesdays @ 6:45(tee off time is at 7:00pm). This is an 9 week league with a tournament at the end of the season. Each week you and your partner will play 18 holes of disc golf multiple fun ways format. One of the ways is the Best disc, is where you and partner both tee off and then get to choose which disc you’d like to throw from next. You get to do this on every shot until one of you has successfully put the disc in the basket. Another fun feature of the league is you will be paired with a different team every week. This is simply an opportunity to meet other fellow disc golfers and not a head to head match up against that team. Teams play one round each league night (18 holes) and at the end of the night they will turn in their scorecards which will be inputted into the league standings. The league standings will be updated weekly throughout the season so you can keep track of your progress. We finish the year with a match play tournament that is split into two divisions and is based off the final standings. The split divisions for the end of the season tournament is another integral component of the league because it maintains a fun and fair experience for all of our teams; teams in the upper half of the standings play in the North bracket and teams in the lower half play in the South bracket. Both championship teams will take home custom stamped trophy discs (see pics for previous seasons).
There are two nights to register for this year's league; week 1 Monday, Jun 2nd TBD and week 2 Jun 9th TBD. Week 1 is your time to register, pay league fees ($40), get a quick overview of the league and league rules, and we get hot with week 1 round. Final day for league registration will be the night of Jun 9th TBD. In order to sign a team up you must have two people registered to play. Keep in mind that this is a player friendly league so if you know that you or your partner may miss a week because you are out of town don't let that discourage you from playing. If one of the partners can’t play one of the weeks the other one has to play Cali, this year Cali players will have a second opportunity from inside Circle 1.
