If you wish to have your league results reflected in you PDGA rating, you need to either renew your memberships (if expired) or join PDGA before March 6.

In either case, remember that you can get a discount to your PDGA membership by joining a PDGA affiliate club like Upstate DGC or Hub City.

You do not have to be a member of PDGA to play, but you do have to be a member to have your ratings be saved and tracked for PDGA events.

So I went and walked Dacusville yesterday to scope out our League play finale. A lot of the OB flags that were originally placed around the stream have washed out, so we have decided that the stream will play as "Optional casual relief for disc within 1 meter of stream." The only OB in play will be sidewalks, roads, curbs, etc.
We will also be playing from the white tees. Keep in mind Hole 2 and hole 12 do not have the white and blue tees lined up with each other. There is adequate signage to direct you to your tee. Just don't assume that because you see a blue tee, the white tee must be in front of it.
As an added feature, I am placing the top 5 in each division on their own lead card (if they show up.) Since this is the last league round, I thought it would be a fitting we to bring the league to the finish line. Thanks to Stephen Scoggins for the suggestion.
Thanks to Tony Fowler's ace on hole 4 at Timmons, the Ace pool now sits empty. If an Ace is not hit on Saturday, the remaining ace pool will be carried over to the summer league.
I really look forward to seeing everyone out on Saturday at our League Finale at Dacusville. Sign in starts at 7:30ish and ends at 8:45 AM. Please do not walk up carrying your discs to my table at 8:50 expecting to be let in. Get there early to guarantee your spot. Maybe we can even fill the 90 player field early so your league staff can get a better warm up in before the horn sounds. Tee times at 9:00 AM.

If you have been playing, thank you! I counted 12 people this morning with either expiring or expired PDGA memberships. If you want these rated rounds to count towards your rating when I submit on March 6, you need to renew your PDGA membership!
If you are not a member of the PDGA, and you want to be able to use these rounds you have played to calculate your personal rating, you can still join the PDGA before March 6. If you send me your member number, I can update the scoring with it, and you will get a player rating in March. https://www.pdga.com/membership

Now that V-Day is out the way, its time for Week 7 of the Upstate DGC Winter League at Golden Grove. (Week 6 was a bye.) Join us Saturday as we head into the home stretch of the league! #udgcwinterleague

We will be teeing off at 10:00 AM this week to give Golden Grove Farm & Brew the chance to be open when we wrap things up. I will be attaching their menu below in the comments section with details on how you can order as you finish up your round so it will be ready when you finish. Remember, these guys have created a challenging course for us to play free of charge. Let's send a little business there way to show our appreciation. #goldengrovefarmandbrew

Also, Danny Hunter is coordinating a disc swap get together immediately following the round. Do you have any plastic you are looking to swap or sell? If so, bring it and maybe you can strike a deal.

Congrats to the following players! There play as of late has caused them to move to higher divisions! Way to go Chris Morris, Jeff Dixon, Abel Seppala, Tyler Wade, Matthew Baustart, and Hartford Berley! We do this so people have a chance to improve their ratings in competitive play. These guys, and many others, are doing great!

Venue and time change! Due to ongoing construction at Century, we will playing this week at The Firecracker in Fountain Inn. Also, to support the Veterans for Vets tourney at Tyger River we are moving our start time to 3:00 PM! (Registration will open at 1:30ish.) This should give time for the Veterans players to come on over if they choose to do so.

Finally, the Ace pot grew last week and now sits at $202. Come on out to The Firecracker to play with us this coming Saturday at 3PM!

Between this generosity, and you guys' amazing support, we had a huge day with 88 people in Saturday's League round.

2. Some have reached out about signing up early. To be fair to all, sign ups will start Saturday morning. I will not take any reservations before then. I know I have capped this thing at 90, but even if it hits that, it will not happen until close to 9am. Be there early to guarantee a spot.

We are getting ready for Week 3 of the Upstate DGC PDGA Winter League at The Trails in Anderson.

We had 69 people play in week 2, and I expect nearly perfect weather for Saturday which may bring even more out. Due to the very high participation, I have decided to put a cap on the number of players we can have each week at 90 people. I don't expect this number to come out, but I also did not expect as many as we have had either. Registration will be on a first come/first serve basis on the day of each event. Please keep the numbers coming. i love so many are taking advantage of this league.

We are changing hole assignment process this week with the goal of not making everyone wait until 845 to know their starting hole. This should lower crowds and let people move towards their starting hole earlier.

Please remember we are using PDGA live scoring as our primary score keeping process. The scorecards we handout are to be used by each group to confirm the liver scoring is correct at the end of the round.

I look forward to seeing you all on Saturday at The Trails. Check in will start at 8 and end at 845. Please don't show up at 8:55 and expect to be placed in a field while the league administrators are trying to pack up league central so they can play as well.

-After reviewing week 1, we have decided to change payouts up a bit. When you check in, you will be asked your payout preference (Cash/Paypal) and confirm your email for Paypal if that is your choice. At the end, we will announce the division place winners. If someone wants their payout in cash, they can come to table after we hand out bag tags, and we will pay cash. Otherwise, we will send Paypal to them before the end of day on Sunday. This will make administration easier and let people get their tags and be on their way quicker.

If ratings were recalculated after Saturday's round, both of these guys would be in their new division. Great throwing you guys! Hopefully we have more of this as people take advantage of league play to improve their ratings!
