About this league
Today I am grateful to get to share some very exciting news! Danny Burd, from Fort Collins Fun Disc Golf, here! As you know, I usually get our schedule out by now, but I was waiting on official approval this year. We have been invited to play a once a month League stop and to run Discs for Dogs at the Budweiser Experience, tour center & Cheers restaurant, by the factory in Fort Collins.
League stops will start this Friday, the 31st, at 6 pm, and the last Friday of every month at the Budweiser Experience, with all other Fridays at Edora.
We will be on dog and drinking friendly property at Budweiser. We will be doing a temporary layout each time...a variation of the full 18 we have designed for Discs for Dogs this year. There is no smoking on the patio and please don't bring your own drinks. I encourage everybody to buy a beverage while we're there, to show our support and gratitude...just walk into the main entrance of the restaurant and I'll be there doing sign ups.
I would love for anybody that can make it, to attend and show Budweiser the power of peace, love, and disc golf. As always, our club focuses on the casual and beginner players.
We run a Free handicap League with a dollar optional ace pool. In the summer, the league is a dollar, plus the ace pool. Our two rules are...whoever has the most fun wins, and please don't throw in on anybody. Our goals are to teach, and to grow the sport.
We have a CTP for a disc every week. We work off volunteers and donations. If you have any discs laying around, please donate them to us and we will find them a new home. Roughed up discs will be given to beginners.
If you can bring a basket with you that would be wonderful. I was hoping to do at least 9 holes each stop. A different layout every time.
We will be doing our official post for Discs for Dogs in a couple weeks. Put it on your calendar now September 29th. Stay tuned!
Long story short, Budweiser supports dog rescues and they saw our event on some dog rescue pages. They asked us to have Discs for Dogs and a league stop there. They were very kind and welcoming and they want to host more outdoor fun events for the community. We feel like we're a perfect match.
Thanks to all that have been involved in, or participated in Discs for Dogs. I'm hoping this will help raise more funds for the puppies and provide more exposure to disc golf. Tag your friends. Peace, Love, and Disc Golf.
