From a post below. Come one, Come all! Saturday, Nov. 3 at the pines in St. Charles. This will be a long day. Tee off will be promptly at 8 am for the top 4 tags that show up to determine the season champion and winner of our awesome trophy. Format will be 9 holes with the top tag determining which hole to start on. If there is a tie at the top, sudden death will begin on the following holes. If there is a tie below, a CTP throw off will be on hole 2. Please come by 8 so we have a gallery and cheer these guys on. Following that will be the trophy presentation etc. and a brief players meeting. Following that will be 2 rounds of best shot doubles with alternate teepad worst shot doubles on hole 17 for our awesome doubles trophies. Lunch will be provided between rounds. Ctp's , prizes and all that good stuff. And for our all together Ctp at the end on hole 2 we have what we feel is an extra special disc golf prize. And format for the doubles will be determined by tag number. Lowest and highest together etc. So come on out to the pines on Nov 3. It's sure to be a fun time.

Good idea Mark, I was also involved in a discussion this weekend where we talked about virtual numbers. Just create a tag sans numbers, and keep track of positions on the Alztimers page. We could post on the page any tourneys, leagues, or casual rounds we played that week. Add scores, or tournament results page could show all players scores. That way Josh at his convienience could update the page, and track our positions on the leaderboard (which we all look at btw, right, lol). I think this may help with the swapping of tags. Just my 2 cents worth.

Virtual tags seem to the the way to go. Everyone still gets a generic tag....because they are cool. From there we do everything the same. Any round with a fellow geezer is entered by the players involved and tabulated on the site. Swapping tags this weekend was impossible. People would have to stick around for the physical swap. Some like to take off and move on to different things. Mailing tags and getting tags to people later would cause issues, IMO.

here's an idea - let's hear some feedback. After day one and the kickoff event distribute the tags based on the days scores. And then from that point forward, just have the tags changed on DG Scene and keep it all virtual until the final day of playoffs when physical exchange of tags could take place. One or two could be responsible for all virtual tag posts

Darn, it is my weekend to work again. But I will have a better chance of worming my way out of that Sunday than when you had the Alztimer event there. I am certainly gonna do everything that I can do again to be there. Thanks again for all you do for disc golf and Alztimers. I can't wait to play there.
