Some great throwing last night! Though everyone had a HOT (literally) round last night, the low round went to DJ with a 51 (-5) with Brian S and Mark G following with a 52 (-4). CTP on 8B went to Nate for an OOP Innova Pegasus, great drive Nate!
Next week will be the last week of Spring League so I can get results into PDGA by the next deadline and Summer League starting 6/12. 2 things upcoming for Summer... 1: I will be contacting Terry Calhoun about a date to play BRATS at the end of June or beginning of July. As it is located in Ann Arbor we will most likely bump starting time to 6:00 that day to give people time to get there. 2: for those interested in the DGLA point series I have us down for June 19 for Double Points night, so be sure to make it if so!
One final note: We got the OK for the alternate fairway between 13 and 14 so work will begin as soon as possible to get it designed and ready for play. However it will take a LOT of volunteer work to complete it so as soon as we start I will post here, and if any of you have ANY free time please feel free to go out and clear small trees/scrub at your convenience to help us out (that also goes for holes 8 A&B). Tonight, 5:30 tee off. Bring lots of water, going to be a scorcher. There will be an alternate tee temporarily for hole 1 (old 10). Also, next week will be the last week for Spring league so I can get rounds submitted in time for next PDGA ratings update. We’ll go right into summer league from there.

Hot round last night went to Mark G with a 63 (-3) followed closely by Brian S with a 65 (-1) and Doug W and Brian N with 66 (E). CTP on 4 went to Mark N. Great throwing everyone! Don't forget to check the Bag Tag page to see who's tag you're going to try to steal next week. Link is in the About this League section. Also don't forget if you guys play each other throughout the week make sure you challenge for tags and post the scores on the Bag Tag page as well!
Next week back to NRC for week 8. As many of you know, due to the dog incident a couple weeks ago we have unfortunately lost Hole 10 as a result. Planning for a replacement fairway is in the process and we will try and get it up and ready for play as soon as possible, but will most likely have to invent a temporary replacement Hole in the mean time,
I'm also trying to arrange a League night back at BRATS with Terry Calhoun. Respond on this post whether you'd like to have it as an actual League night, or just as a fun night of disc between Spring and Summer Leagues (which would be June 19). I ask this because some of us are PDGA members and the round would go towards our ratings.

Good morning gentlemen! Beautiful weather last night for some disc golf... though a bit wet, and I've been told by a few people it was a rough night for them. Anyways, thanks to all 11 of you who showed which bumps the Ace Pool (otherwise known as the Support Doug White Fund) up to $78. A number of great rounds, best going to Brian N and Doug W with 51s (-5) followed by Mark G with 52 (-4). Long putt on 5 went to Darryl B. Great throwing guys!

With all this rain NRC is going to be quite swampy in places. The rain (supposedly) will stop around 4 so League still on, but it has been suggested we play Lakeshore as ground conditions are much better there. Feedback? If we change location I want to make sure everyone knows before tomorrow so if you have ph#s of other players please call them to inform of the change in case they don’t check here often. Hey gang. What a perfect night for throwing some plastic yesterday! Great turnout of 14 people which puts the Ace Pool up to $56. Welcome newest member Jay! Hot round yesterday once again went to Mark G. with a 49 (-7) and 3 people, Darryl, Mark N and Mark W with 54 (-2). I think I.m changing my name to Mark next week LOL CTP 10th Anniversary Zone went to Jake B on Hole 3 (though Dan and Mark W were both literally INCHES away), Great drives guys!
Next week we will start meeting at 5:30 at Hole 8 which by then will be Hole 15. I've also started a seperate Bag Tag League page to track league nights and individual challenges. So tomorrow 5pm tee off! As 1 and 18 are now gone, we will be playing the 2 new holes as scored. I put in permanent baskets earlier this week so all is ready to go! Also hoping the new signs will be printed, making Hole 10 the new Hole 1. New meeting place will be by Hole 8 basket (which will now be hole 16 LOL)

Hot round went to Brian S with a 50 (-6) followed by Mark G with a 52 (-4). Wow, great throwing in that weather guys! CTP on 10 went to Brian S for a LE Streamline Pilot.
Next week, 5 pm tee off. They have started moving in big equipment for the construction on the church so there will be a possibility of playing the 2 new holes as scored. If that is the case I will try and get out sometime earlier in the week to put some permanent baskets in the ground for practice. I'll update you when I know. See you all net Tuesday!

So due to the overwhelming opinion on getting new bag tags every year (due to members coming and going) I’ve put in an order for 2018 tags. Best deal i could find was $3.95 ea. so I’m planning to ask everyone in the league for $5 for the tags. ($10 outside of league). I hope this is ok with everyone, but if you have an issue with it please let me know as i haven’t finalized the order. Please comment if you agree or disagree to this post.

Hope you guys liked the alternate baskets between 8 and 9. We will continue to play these non-scored until the time where 1 and 18 are no longer available to get used to the layouts. 5:00 tee off next week. Depending on whether or not we have access to 1 and 18 we will either play the same or 2 new alternate fairways located between 8 and 9 ( I should have them ready by then).
There has also been requests to get new tags every year as members come and go so we don't lose any numbers. I'll be looking into that in the next few weeks.

Hey gang, don’t forget next Tuesday is week 1 of the Spring league! 5 pm, don’t forget your bag tags!
I’ve had a number of questions concerning how the NRC construction will be effecting is. They will be starting construction on the 16th I believe, during which we will lose holes 1 and 18. Not sure if this is do to them doing actual building there or just using as a staging area for equipment. Either way, I am currently working on 2 alternate fairways in the woods between 8 and 9 and hope to have them ready by this week or next. Now, not to get anyone’s hopes up, but there is a slight chance that we have access to more of that wooded area which could potentially give us room for another 6 (A-F) holes. We’ll be scouting the area over the next few weeks to draw up a plan and submit it to the church. IF it gets the go-ahead it will be all volunteer work so all of you are welcome (needed actually LOL) to help clear the area. With enough manpower it could potentially be ready to play by the beginning of 2019!
