About this league
24 Cha!ns is a group of highly dedicated Disc Golfers whom fear no weather, play year round at courses throughout lower Michigan & beyond!!
Spring/Summer League rounds are on Fridays. We will meet at 5:30pm & tee of is at 6:00pm. This league is always FREE to play. We do have $1 ace pool and CTP's every week, they are always optional. Courses are decided by vote or at the counsel members discretion except for the first Friday of the month which will always be at Waterworks aka Pirates Bay in Ypsilanti (unless otherwise specified). Pirate Bay rounds are also $5 Freddy rounds (again, optional). Voting for courses will start as soon as a post is made and will end on Wednesday at noon. Usually rounds are doubles but we will also play singles, ChaChi, ript, one disc wonder, and are always open to new games and format ideas. Tarzan & dirty dollars are frequent during the round.
PIRATE RULES OF THE HIGH SEAS:
There are only a few rule...I know, I know...since when do pirates have rules! Without rules it is chaos and though we are pirates this is supposed to be fun for all!
Shenanigans is not only allowed but encouraged! That as it may be, you cannot touch a player...with anything while in the motion of throwing and you cannot touch a disc in flight...with anything...period.
If you get hit by someone's throw that person gets a "re-throw." If that you get hit again by someone's throw (anyone) during that same round you they get a re-throw & you get a +1 to your team score. This is setup to make sure everyone is behind the action.
New this year, once you are done with a hole it is your obligation to announce your score when the score keeper is ready for it. If you shout out a score & your partner shouts a completely different score, guess what, we will be adding them together. For example, you got a 3, you shout "3" but your partner shouts "2", your team just caught a juicy "5".
Also, if the score keeper shouts your team out for a score more than 3 times, you will get a "7".
These rules are designed to help out are score keeper, it is not easy to keep 12+ teams scores at once, if you don't understand, try it, and you will agree completely!!
Though we encourage shenanigans remember that we are all here to have FUN, as a GROUP. If you are having a ton of fun and everyone else is not having fun, chances are your are the a-hole sucking all the fun out of the course. On the flip side of that if you are concentrating all of your shenanigans on a single person that is also very uncool and won't be tolerated either.
This is by far more fun than any league out there, hope to see a lot of new & familiar faces out there this spring/summer season, CHAAAAAAAAA!!!
