About this league

It's almost time for summer leagues to start!! We are excited to announce the launching of the Marquette Cooperative Points Series! There will be four leagues starting up this week that will be a part of the series: Sunday doubles at SC, Monday singles at PM, Thursday singles at SC, and Friday doubles at PM. Sunday doubles is at 2:30, Monday, Thursday, and Friday leagues will all start at 5:30pm.

The Marquette Cooperative Points Series is a way to unite all of the area leagues into a cohesive system. Any points you earn in one league will count toward your overall point total for the year. $1 from each person's $5 buy-in will go into a fund for the end of the year. This money will be used to buy a custom shirt and custom stamped disc for anyone who qualifies, whether or not they can make it to the season finale. To qualify, an individual must play in 12 league events throughout the 20-week season. If you attend every league, you could meet this threshold in the first 3 weeks; however, you could also meet the threshold by playing in just one of the leagues consistently.

After buying the custom discs and shirts, any remaining funds will be used to purchase big-ticket prizes for the season finale. What these prizes are (bags, baskets, etc.) will be voted on by the players toward the end of the season.

The points will be used to determine your standing in the season finale. At doubles league, each partner will receive 3 points for each team they beat or tie, including themselves. For example, if there are 12 people/6 teams, each member of the first place team will get 18 points, 2nd will get 15, and so on, with last receiving 3 points each. For singles league, you get 2 points for each individual you beat or tie, including yourself.

Let's have a great summer everyone! See you on the course - Fresh
