This last Friday wrapped up an awesome season filled with great rounds. Thank you to everyone that joined us for our Friday league nights! We will be taking a break for one week as most of the 24 Cha!ns council will be in Ludington competing for the Mustard Cup!! The following Sunday (Oct. 23rd) is the first Winter round. This week is our final Friday round but fear not, starting Sunday, October 23rd we will be moving to Sundays for the Fall/Winter season. There will be more info coming up as to where we will be playing but it will always be 930am meet, 10am tee off.

As for this week, we will be at Waterworks for another $5 Freddy round! This round will happen rain or shine so be there ya scurvy pirates!!!

Bandi took an overwhelming vote (3 votes total)...and it has been brought to my attention that we do not play enough shenanigans style rounds (except out bag tag final which was a blast by the way). So what we will be doing is a doubles one disc challenge!! We will be playing 2 rounds from the reds with you ONE disc of choice. It will be a lot of fun unless your one of those stick in the mud, ants at a picnic type of person that says "that's not real disc golf I want to play a real game" So if your one of "those people" well, you should come play anyway because its with friends and we are gonna have a good time. 9 brave souls out of the 24 who bought into tags came to play this week? Well the loss was all on those 15 people because it was a blast! I would normally be disappointed with such a turnout but then again it was hinted from the get go that it was gonna go down shenanigans style so again...the loss is on those who don't participate...We played 1 round of One Disc Wonder and 1 round of Lil' Wiz Challenge from the short tees. It was anyone's game at that point!

Your #1 tag winner is non other than Robert Shaffer!! (make sure ya boo him when ever you get the chance!)

Taking #2 is yours truly (boo me cause I didn't beat Shaffer...) Since Shaffer decided he isn't going to States, I win the paid reg! (Yay Me?)

Since I already have my berth to states, it went a sliding down to Felicia "Flea" Calhoun!! Congratulations & we will see ya at states!!

Thank you to all who participated in our bag tags. I know it wasn't exactly perfect but I though it was fun. I am not sure when we will do tags again (probably not soon) but I can assure everyone that I have put some thought into it for the next go around. I have also been given some great feedback (and some not so great feedback) and ideas on how to improve for next time to make the tags more relevant throughout the summer. Until then, hope to see everyone at leagues as we will still be going on Fridays until late October! CHAAAAAAA!!!!

We had a humble little group this last Friday with 8 players. Mark Trochelman & Myself took the W with a -14!! I will update score when I have a little more time.

THANK YOU to all who came out to ours & A3's Ace Race on Saturday!! We had 141 players!! Congrats to Todd White with his 2 ace win and to Josh Fenlon with his 1 ace 2 metal runner up finish!!

8.12.16 we will be at Waterworks for our Bag Tag Finale!! it will be 2 singles rounds of 9 holes. The first round will be a 1 disc challenge from the red tees. It can be any disc of your choosing but only 1 disc, so make it count!! The following 9 hole round will be with a Lil' Wizard only!! Who ever walks away with the hot round will be awarded the #1 tag, a berth to states & their registration paid for the event!! If you do not present a tag upon arrival you are disqualified. We will have some spare Lil' Wizards for sale & I am sure some of us have extras you can use if you need. The round is also a $5 Freddy round so don't forget about that!!

We also have a berth to give away for our point series. It does appear that unless someone at the top of the leaderboard besides me hits an ace I will be the summer point series winner (3 years in a row I might add!!) I have already won a berth through other means so the berth will kick down for sure!!!

Lastly, we will continue to play through the fall until we switch to Sundays so...ya know...CHAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!

To recap Founder's last week, 14 players total (which you'd of thought we'd finish but we didn't) Puttimus/Reslock & Piziali/Franky took the shared W with a -6 apiece.

So, not only is the 12th a $5 Freddy round but it will be our BAG TAG CHALLENGE AS WELL!!! If you bought in on tags you may not want to miss that. We will be giving away a berth to states with registration paid to whom every ends up with the lowest tag at the end of the day. There will be more details on how we will do this but in the mean time, DONT FORGET!!

I am posting this because I know eventually there will be an issue and I might as well be the first one to make a post like this. I personally like RPG's and I did once upon a time play Pokémon (on Gameboy). I know ya'll are excited to search for them and blah, blah, blah. Keep in mind that you are not coming to 24 Cha!ns to be anti social & play Pokémon. I do not care if you "need" to catch this "one" Pokémon, DONT CARE!! You are playing with us to play disc golf and socialize with friends old and new. If you want to sit on your phone looking like a lost idiot do it on your own time, go play by yourself. I'm not trying to be cold and against having fun but I am not gonna sit there and wait for you to get of your damn phone. Oh ya, if Shaffer catches you trying to catch Pokémon he will rip your phone from your hand and throw your phone clear across the park, try catching that!! You have been warned....

Friendly reminder to all who play and who will play in the future. We are all here to have fun. While we do rip on each other and make it difficult to concentrate on your shots, we do it out of love. That being said if you are having a ton of fun with the shenanigans and everyone else is pissed off, guess what, you are the asshole. Out right belligerence WILL NOT BE TOLERATED!! We like to have fun but we are adults not children. Also if you feel like your being harassed, please pull one of us running the league aside and let us know the situation. We want all to feel welcome. It is pretty hard to get booted from playing with a bunch pirates but it isn't impossible...

It is a $5 round, $10 all in to make things easy. 6pm tee off, allow yourself time to get there a little early so you can reg & ya know, throw some putts or all that, CHA!!!!

First off, great to see another great turnout! 27 players with 6 newbies!! Taking the W was Crouch/Deornellas & Reslock/Durty with -10, noice!

Before I go to this week I want to make sure we are clear on CTP rulings. Please pay attention when you think you have gotten a CTP. If there is any sort of discrepancy between two players lets get someone to walk it off and make sure it is clear who the winner is on THAT HOLE before we move to the next one. We are all there to have a good time, remember that!!

Now, we have been given the nod by none other than Terry Calhoun to raid the wonderful course known as BRATS!! That is right, all the magical shenanigans you know & love on a private course, devoid of casual golfers! Please remember that this the Calhoun family's home and should be treated as such.
