About this league

Upon joining the club, a player receives a numbered, trade-able "bag tag" which is used for casual competition between members of the club. Players may challenge other club members to "tag matches", with the lowest-scoring player earning the lowest-numbered tag. Throughout the season, players try to earn, then "defend" the best tag they can obtain. It is common for players to swing between very low, to very high numbers in a short period of time, so the number isn't a good representation of a player's skill level, it's all just to add an extra element of fun!

General Guidelines:

- A player should defend their tag—and honor requests for challenges—whenever possible, but if a player has other obligations preventing a match it is ok.

- A tag match is normally considered to be in effect during any round played on the same course, in the same layout, on the same day, but should be agreed to prior to the completion of the round if not earlier.

- In the event of a tie, tags do not change hands. Only a better score will earn a player a lower tag.

- In the event of a multiple-player tie, each player's incoming tag number is used for sorting.

- When multiple rounds are played in succession on the same day, with the same players involved, it is normally considered to be a multiple-round tag match, as opposed to two matches.

- When a player must leave a tag match mid-round, he or she forfeits their prior tag and takes the highest-numbered tag present.

- A player should have their tag physically present and accessible before agreeing to a tag challenge.

- Bag tags were intended to be securely attached to the outside of a player's disc golf bag (in plain sight) so others can challenge them for their number, however this isn't required.
