About this league

2015 will see the introduction of a Winter Putting League in the Cleveland area!! This league will be hosted at Harry's Hofbrau in Mentor, OH. located of Station Street, close to both I-90 and Rt. 2., from 6:30 - 8:30 on Monday nights. This league will have a $5 league entry fee, which will be used to hold an end-of-year party at the venue and to pay out a league champion. Each session will cost $10, with $1 each going to the party/champion fund, $1 going into side games for nightly payout (TBD), $4 to the session winner (per player), $2 to the second place player (per player), and $1 to the third place winner (per player). Drinks and food will be available on site, and since we aren't being charged by the venue, there will most likely be a 1 drink or food item minimum per player to help support the venue and their generosity for letting us use their space.

Format: We will have one basket set up inside the facility with multiple putting locations. Each round, each player will get three shots from each location, gaining 1 point for each putt landed. For the second round, a "multiplier" will be added for double points, and that can be anything from a hula hoop, an elevated basket, a mando, or whatever else we can come up with. The player with the highest points will be declared nightly winner, and receive the first place payout. 2nd and 3rd place will also be paid out as stated above. League points will be accumulated each night, with the winner getting one point for playing, and one point for every player they beat. At the end of the year, the league champ will be paid out a handsome sum during the end-of-year party. There will also be a nightly side game, with the winner of that being paid out $1 for each player. This could be a speed putting contest, CTP, mini-putting contest, or ring-of-fire. We will also be able to have a basket outside on the patio area, which can be used for practice or other side games when conditions allow.

I am open to any other ideas or suggestions anyone might have for this. Please message me or post on the league page with any feedback you may have.
