Ok here it is. I only have a problem with one word, MANDITORY that word shouldn’t be in the NUDGA dictionary for everything except for when we are talking about flight paths. No NUDGA should be forced to do something they don’t want to do. For whatever reason they may have. We will all have our own opinions about them. Oh and have the TDs decide? REALLY !!!!! Don’t you think they have enough to do. They shouldn’t have to worry about whether or not someone put their tag in or not. COME ON!!! If I go to a tournament and they tell me I can’t play unless I put my tag in, I’m going to tell them to kiss my ass, and have a few other words for them. If I have prepaid they will be giving my $$$ back. It’s a principle thing. I’m not scared to put my tag in. I do it several times a week. Did it yesterday against 11 people. If we do play for tags at tournaments, you need to put your tag in before we start. Don’t decide after the rounds are over.

Tag talk again?? ITS A TAG NOT A PRESIDENTIAL HONOR. Ive got#9 doesnt mean Ill be invited to am worlds. Too much worry about TAGS. As far as tourneys, Ill pass. earned top 15 tag at huktoberfest and got #67 cause the handout began while I was busy helping with other stuff and didnt know. Cause THOSE PEOPLE had to leave soon, so had to hurry and pass them out. Toureys not good format to do tags, a lot of different schedules for different people. Also Some people have to leave ASAP, they have lives outside disc golf unlike some of you. Thats why we have tag rounds EVERY DAY and club rounds on Sat. If ya cant make it out, oh well, see ya next week. Sometimes life gets in the way of disc, that sucks, but we get our tags by good play and good timing. Ive had the #1 tag before and will prob never see it again. Ive also had the 87 tag. Thats how it goes, I'm still alive. Ill be content to carry something between # 20 and 50. And guess what, Ill still wake up alive tomorrow, the world will continue to turn, the sun will come up around 7 A.M., Ill go to work, pay my bills, eat, sleep, s***, and play when I can. My tag # wont change any of these things. I play for love of the game not a shiny charm on a key ring.

Another idea is to end the issuing of a nudga tag with your membership or renewel, and create a bag tag legue for Riverpark players that requieres a seperate buy in. This would eleminate a lot of disapearing tags, and also make it easier to manage. Maybe we focus on a membership package more for new and renewing members such as the custom mini or disc, a membership number tag, or whatever.
Something else to consider.....two sets of tags, one for pro and advanced and another set for intermediate and begginer. seperate tags, CTPs, layout and payout. just an idea.

I think all this talk has shown the need for 2 sets of tags as Shane has mentioned before. I like the casual anyone has the ability to challenge anyone tags. Where everyone has one and everyone can take a shot at a low tag. Don't like playing for tags during tournaments and the like. Also don't like those losers who aren't willing to put their tags on the line when they get a low tag. But for the most part I like the casual NUDGA tags. I also think there is a need for a set of competition tags for those of us who want to challenge for absolute supremacy. Playing for tags does make you better. Playing against better players makes you better. Altering rules and making getting a good tag with competition tags makes sense. But if you choose to pay for and use a competition tag you need to follow a set of competition tag rules. That's my 2 cents for what it's worth.

Everyone has good days and bad days. I don’t care who you are. Ok 165 may be a little extreme but someone in say mid 70s could do it without too much trouble. But your saying that they can’t have it because they are an intermediate player? That’s just not right. There are no written rules for the bag tags challenge, for NUDGA. Therefore there are only opinions, and like a__holes, everyone has one. Any rules you might find online will be different for every club.

I vote no for different divisions as far as tags go, but for payout $$ go for it.

When I got my first tag this year I loved the idea of playing tag rounds. Pure and simple. Then I started showing up and realized I didn't have the cash to play "tag rounds," so it put me off (meaning I'd only go play on those few occasions I had the cash). I've since learned the CASH wasn't required. Needless to say, I support playing for tags. I can also support the cash concept for those wanting to ante up their tag round. Let's just make sure, in traditional NUDGA fashion, we make sure everyone is having fun and supporting one another. The game is growing a lot and NUDGA will continue to grow with it so long as cash payouts outside of tourney play is not the priority when they have their league play.

I have a lot of respect for those of you who stepped up to open in the Hukfest. On the same note there was a few good players who took the easy route as well.

Probably won’t play much for $10. But whatever everyone else wants to do is fine. I have the option to not play if I don’t want to. A tag round is for the exchange of tags 1 thru whatever. It doesn’t matter what division you play in. If a Rec. player shoots 14 down, then he deserves the 1 tag. I’m only one person, do what the majority wants to do. This is America.

I agree with this. However there was talk last week of there being payout for the winners of each division. I don't agree with that. It does just the opposite and encourages players to stay in a division they can easily win. And drives those who don't have a chance of winning away from playing. I don't mind an increase in the cost of playing tags now that doubles has ended. But I would want the payout to go towards more ctp's or more $$$ for ctp's or something along those lines.

I was talking with Josh about the format of the Sat rounds. I believe it is time that we introduce a "Pro" division. We should provide an Intermediate, Advanced, and Pro Division. Advanced and Pro divisions should always play from the same tee pads, this way Adv players wont be afraid to move up when the time comes. I think it is important to establish a clear format. What do you guys think?

Hey guys. last saturday I had a disscussion with the group that plays the Sat tag round at 1. We talked about the format for the round, I suggested that we played for $10, three CTP, ace pot, and club dollar, the rest went to the winners. This is not set in stone. The point of this discussion is to figure it out! I agree that we need three divisions to make it fair. Now if you don't want to play for money, you are welcome to play for tags. We should make that clear. This Sat I will be out there and here is how we will do it.
It will be $5 dollars if you want to buy in to everything. That includes....$1 club, $1ace and $3 ctps. Each CTP will cap out at a value of $10. So that means, if 20 players buy in, we will have $60 for 6 CTPs. We need to keep the club money and the ace pot rollin.
