Friday Scramble & Sunday Sanctioned Singles Leagues Suspended

Based on information from the state, CDC, & WHO the SCDGA has decided to suspend the Friday Scramble League & Sunday Sanction Singles until at least April 1st to see how the PDGA will proceed after their March 31st decision with sanctioned events.

We understand that it might be disappointing to those who enjoy playing in the weekly leagues at Oak Ledges & other courses without the area, but hope you understand. Everyone’s health in our disc golf community is very important to us & we’re sorry it has come to this. Thank you for your understanding & continued support through these times. Please keep a look out for updates in the near future.

Note that as of now, the parks and courses are still open; we are just no longer operating a SCDGA run league during this time period with cash entries and payouts. That being said, if you do play, please take appropriate measures to help mitigate the spread of the virus. According to PDGA recommendations, this includes, but is not limited to:

• Handling only your own disc

• Don't share food or water

• Limit high-fives, fist bumps and other contact

• If you are sick or feel sick, please stay away

UPDATE ON POINTS SERIES FOR FRIDAY NIGHT DOUBLES!!!

I would like to announce that we are adding more spots to payout!! Originally we were paying out top 5 or 6 and since this league has been such a great hit/success because of you the players we are expanding the payouts to the TOP 10 in total points!!

There are going to be at least 2 more double points night (I may sneak in a triple points night)

Payouts (in SCDGA Credit) will look like this:

1st - $120 (8 discs depending on plastic type)
2nd - $90 (6 discs depending on plastic type)
3rd - $75 (5 discs depending on plastic type)
4th - $60 (4 discs depending on plastic type)
5th - $45 (3 discs depending on plastic type)
6th - $30 (2 discs depending on plastic type)
7th thru 10th - $15 (1 disc depending on plastic type)

First for those who purchased a Premium Tag Package the towels and larger shirts have come in. There are a few ways to get your shirt and towel.

League Friday at Lincoln at 6pm

League Sunday at Arboretum at 2pm

I live .6 miles away from Lincoln so I play there quite a bit! Also if you're playing in The Beauty this Saturday let me know.

Secondly, Sunday May 29th there will be NO league due there being a tournament at Hudson Springs. You can sign up for that on DGS. Chris Warfield is running it go out and support!

BUT, that league WILL BE MOVING to Monday May 30th at 10am still at Arboretum. This is Memorial Day so we're going earlier so everyone can get to their cookouts!

AGAIN, SUNDAY MAY 29 NO LEAGUE MOVING TO MONDAY THE 30TH @ 10AM!!

Starting Friday March 18th, 2016 I am proud to announce that the SCDGA Friday evening/night doubles will be recommencing (weather permitting) at Oak Ledges @ Lincoln Park! Cost will still be $5 with the optional ace at $1 and $1 will go to the club.

With turning clocks forward an hour Sunday March 13th we should have plenty of time to get the rounds in starting at 5:30 sharp.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE BE ON TIME!!

As daylight lasts longer we will move the starting time to 6pm.

As far as $10 SCDGA Good Friday Doubles March 25th that will take place at noon for those who may have family or church functions going on that evening. You can sign up on DGS or show up day of for the Good Friday Doubles.

The club will donate a ctp prize pack for the closest drive on hole 10 which will include a 25oz aluminum water bottle, an Innova disc golf sticker and a mini. We had 15 players last week for our first night of league! See you there!
