Here are the 2015 FND@S champs

Ladies champ is Lori Mullen winning $50 and another title.

In the Pro division, King Stony showed up tonight! Shot a -4 on 18 longs of the blue and finished 2 strokes ahead of Herzog after the final 3 holes on the Green. Great round from both Dan B and Chef also!

In Doubles, Jeff Hollinger wins after an 8 hole sudden death playoff with JB and Bart. There was a 3 way tie after regulation. JB was eliminated after 2 sudden death holes. Then Bart and Jeff went 6 more holes when Jeff finally took it down. He received a shiny new Chainstar for his effort!

What an unbelievable season everybody! Thank you all for coming and shooting with us. I'm not sure how we are going to top this year. I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did!

Ok here we go. This is for the titles and over $1,100 in cash and prizes.

The Pro's will show up early and play singles on 18 longs then 1,10 and 11 on blue. 21 holes for the championship. The winner gets their name engraved on the Stony cup and $250 in cash.

The Am's, after thinking it through, will play on the blue north course. You guys are teeing off late, this course is more open and will be easier to play if it gets too dark. Plus most of the casuals will probably be playing the new course.

Here are the holes the doubles will play, and IN THIS ORDER...
5,6,15,16,17,18 longs,1 short, 2 short then finish on hole 3. Thats 9 holes. Any playoff will be stroke play sudden death played on hole 4 then 3 then repeat if needed.

The doubles game will be the same as last week, rotating teams, best shot singles. Put all 4 names on the scorecard, then flip for partners. Rotate partners on every hole. You get each player as your partner twice. The player with the lowest score wins and will go home with a brand new portable Chainstar and the 2015 doubles title.

We'll play a few holes from each course in this order:
Start on Green hole 1, skip over and play 10,11,12,13, skip to 17short,18. After 18 Green,walk over to hole 4 on the Blue and play 4,5,6,skip to 15 short w island hazard(oh yes!) then short 2.

If the course is busy well just play a layout on the blue but it may rain Friday so...

All are welcome to play. You do not have to be in the playoffs to play this week.

The weather held off for us again and we had a great time battling for the playoffs. It was a shortened track so we could finish in the light.

ACE!!!! Brad Fuelling aced hole 14 Green for $220 and 2 points BOOM!

The hot round was -5 shot in doubles split 5 ways after a playoff. Barts partner left and Bart took it down solo for the win and $19. The other $19 was won by Bryan B and Jeremy W.

Club CTP was won by Nate Brown winning him is choice of two discs and some sponsor swag plus an extra point.

Cash 50/50 was won by Herzog winning $24 and an extra point making it a 5 point night for Water Boy! With this victory tonight he has won the point race in the open division. Nice job Ryan!

THE FINALS. We would like to do an 18 hole final round on that Sunday the 19th or the following Saturday the 26th. If you cant do this don't sweat it. We can do what we've always done and play it Friday night. Find out if you can do this and let me know asap.

The club ctp was won by King Stony moving him into a tie with Herzog for the league lead in points. Tied with 1 week left. Both players are now guaranteed cash in the finals. Great job!

There was a 6 way tie for first place in open tonight at -9 (45). The playoff was won by King Stony stealing the extra 2 points from some very needy players and the $56 for 1st place!

Hot round was -12 by team Hollinger / Jodway putting their total take for this nice evening of golf to $53 each in cash and merchandise. Nice job baggers!

CLUB CTP went to Bret Hagen winning an extra point, a Nate Doss SC Top 10 Sparkle Force, a triple stamp champ glow Gator, club mini & car sticker and a whole slew of free stuff from our great sponsors.

We are still planning on doing the finals on Friday night Sept 18 on a 13 hole loop unless we decide to play a full round 18 hole on the weekend. If this is what you guys want please say so asap.

The last week to earn league points for the finals will be the first Friday in September. Week 24. After that, the top 6 point earners will make the playoffs. The top 2 in both divisions will get a first round bye while the next 4 players playoff for two spots in the finals.

You do NOT need to be in the finals to play the last weeks of league. Just normal league nights for all who did not make the playoffs...minus the top players :)

Also, I will be bringing some of my discs from my personal stash to sell to help with my trip to the Ledgestone Open. So if your interested in some sweet plastic bring your duckets. None for you though Ryan... sorry all sold out!

This is our charity night to help fight Alzheimer's disease. We will donate our ace pool and our 50/50 cash CTP also.

If a player aces tonight, they will win only 1/2 of the pool. The club will then add $100 to the other half and donate it.

The 50/50 cash CTP this week will be worth a stack of donated discs and all the cash will be donated. $2 is the usual bet but you can pay any amount you want to help. Please bring a nice disc to donate if you can.

This is also a highlighted league of the week for the MCPS. Double points for that league.

Team Stony and Audra Stoker from the Shelby Crossing Health Campus are teaming up to help raise money to fight Alzheimer's disease Friday July 31st at the Stony Creek DGC.

We will be giving away our ace pool and our cash 50/50 July 31. If a player aces during the next 2 weeks, they will only get 1/2 of the pool. If that happens on July 31st, Team Stony will add $100 to the other 1/2 of the pool and donate it to the charity.

We will also give away our cash 50/50. Players who play the 50/50 side bet on July 31st will be asked (not required) to bring a disc to give away in place of the cash. This will be a post round throw off and will have multiple winners depending on how many donated discs we have.

This will also be the DGLA: Michigan Cooperative Point Series - Summer 2015 6th Annual highlighted league of the week and we will be expecting many many people!

Also spectacular was Skyler Stokers play. He shot -9, aced hole 7 for $350 and 2 points, won the singles division for $50 and 4 points and won the singles vs doubles hot round side bet for $44 making his total take home $444!!! LOL!!!

Stony Creek will be having their fireworks show Friday night and will be charging $10 per car after 5pm regardless if you have a pass or not.

LEAGUE WILL BE AT ADDISON OAKS AT WITH A 6:30pm START! We'll give you guys an extra 1/2 hour to get up there and well only play 18 holes. Jay and John will be running the show so try not to give them too easy of a time while they are singing people up.

Shooting the hot round tonight and new record for this layout, Evan Little and Tony Vidal smash an 8 under 46 on this very tough track. They both won $33 in merch and $26 in cash.

Ok I have a great layout for you guys this week. Fairway or OB, short 1 & 2, island 15. I think its the exact same as last year. They just cut the grass last night or this morning and I just got back from putting down some paint. Its looks awesome out there!

This is how we play Fairway or OB. On several designated holes, all the uncut grass not surrounded by fairway is a hazard. If you land in the rough you add a stroke to your score and play from where your disc is. THERE ARE NO DROP ZONES. Dont take your disc back to the fairway or out of the woods. You play from where it lies.

OB holes are:
Hole 1 short
Hole 2 short
Hole 3
Hole 4 has some relief to the left of the green. Once you get to the hill 50' short of the basket, the OB line does a 45 degree turn toward the main road. Same as the last few years.
Hole 5 Watch out for OB paint 10' past the basket.
Hole 6 Ams MUST be in the cut grass if they DONT drive past the 2 giant evergreens in the fairway or you add a stroke. Pro's MUST drive PAST the 2 trees or add a stroke.

Our biggest turn out ever with 23 pros and 36 ams! Holy mother lets keep this thing rolling!

We played 18 shorts and got finished before dark even with a ton of casuals out there. 72 degrees w a slight breeze and mostly sunny!!!

The hot round of the night was -13 (41) shot by team Roberts/VanHavel. Cody V was not in the doubles vs singles side bet so Roberts won $31 plus $35 in discs. Ynd yours truly took home the other $31 for the 2nd hottest round of -12 (42) adding to the $60 for winning singles, thats $91 take home for King Stony!

The super fat club CTP was won by Shaun Adkins winning a ton of stuff and an extra point.

The cash 50/50 flag was picked up by a casual so that $49 will carry over to week 5 and added.

After a several of weeks of thinking about it and asking other players about it, here is what we've come up with for the doubles vs singles side bet Eric Roberts broke on week 1.

-There is no more cap for the winner. It is winner or team(s) take all.
-If you are in doubles, individual players can only win 1/2 of the purse even if you play cali. The other 1/2 will be split by the next best scores.
-If your in doubles and you win the SvD side bet and your partner is NOT in the side bet, you win 1/2 the purse and the other 1/2 will be split by the next best score.
-If there is $40 to be split between 2 ams and 1 pro, the pro gets $20 and the ams get $10 each.
-If there is 1 pro and 2 am teams tied and the purse is $40, the pro wins $20 and all 4 ams win $5 each.

Any questions or comments are welcome. If you dont like it, blame Eric.

Thats right! March 27 is our first scheduled round. Its gonna be our biggest and best year yet. When the second 18 gets finished this year, we will enjoy our own 18 hole course during league night. The casuals will be asked, not told, to play the course we're not playing that night. This will make for way way less traffic out there for us AND the casuals!

We have a very nice membership package for this year including your choice of club dry-fit tee or club polo.

The Open champion will be the 13th name engraved on the Stony Cup and the doubles champion will again win a premium portable basket. For the ladies we will again match every dollar they pay into the finals purse and crown a 2015 champion.

I am also looking for someone to do some art for the 2015 league shirts. If your interested let me know.
