Our numbers have weakened the last two weeks again for multiple reasons... so who plans on going tomorrow? Do you think we should change the start time or exclude a few holes for the light's sake? Don't think we'll be able to get in all 18 starting when we do with the sun working more and more against us... what do you all think? Let's figure it out before tomorrow :) Thanks!

2. I updated our league the best I can; our "club" is already registered, so I can't change our name to remove 'Hodges' without starting all over and losing our history. Let's just stick with what we have for that.

3. I updated our NEFA thread to include the decisions we made last night about location and day of the week.

We tried to represent the discussions we've had in the past with all of you when making our decisions last night. All feedback is welcome, so let us know what you think. I truly hope we are turning the corner and can get our female disc golf representation back in the limelight! OK I have talked with Jason about playing our league at Pyramids and he is willing to let us play for free to get more women out on the course. I offered that we would each pay a $1 greens fee as a courtesy. I am going to make up a sign to put up on the kiosk to get more girls to join us. I would like to offer first league is free to get girls to come try it with no risk. Also I believe Steve and Tom will be offering this to us at Maple Hill as well, I just need to finalize with Steve. So what do you think about alternating weeks at Hodges, Pyramids, and Maple? I will set up a schedule so new girls will know where to meet us each week. Feedback welcomed and encouraged...please and thank you! :)

I'm planning on heading to Hodges this Friday 3/12 @ 4:30 for a quick 9 holes to see what kind of shape the course is in. I'm always a fan of Buff, so I say Yup to that question, for sure. Even if we have a good turnout, I'll always say yes to Buff, especially after I got poison ivy at hodges last week on both of my legs. I'm biased now knowing I never got it at Buff!!

We certainly weren't frustrated and I still have a ton of work left to do for this weekend. I don't like breaking promises and I said I'd be there last night, but it truly was a huge stretch to get there. Besides, if anyone's still frustrated today, then you're invited to share in the lovely poison ivy I have now. =0 And who's planning to bail from our league? IMO, this should simply remain a fun time without pressure, obligations or frustrations. If it turns into that then I'd bow out because I'm only interested in getting out to throw my discs and to share in good times.

Okay, I did some creative thinking on my ride home to solve the time issue we have run into with the big numbers....now remember what I'm saying is CREATIVE... Okay, when we have more than 8 people playing (which 11 is the biggest # we could have with the girls that have shown thus far.. right? Just Nicky wasn't there tonight) we can draw cards for partners and play a blind doubles round. We could go out in groups of 2, two people from different teams to verify scores for each other. Then, we could move MUCH faster around the course and when you and your partner finish you take the best score on each hole for the final card. Just a creative thought that might be fun, let me know wheat you think....or we can play singles straight up so the groups can be smaller. I don't really know how we could figure out handicaps if we had them but please don't give up! Jenilee is SO right, we are the first women's league and if people give up while the kinks are worked out there won't be an ALL-WOMEN's league! So please keep us going, we just ordered shirts, let's wear em (playing OUR league!)

Alright, I think that today was frustrating for everyone that played but i don't want to lose the positive vibe of having a WOMENS LEAGUE, its the first and only. Its a trial and error type of league. We need to work the kinks out. So please don't give up just yet. We will figure out the best way of splitting up the groups. It was hard with the numbers we had today. Now that we have been playing and the numbers are always different it might be more fun to just play short on all holes so that we can get through 18. I hope that everyone that was frustrated today gives it another week or two before giving up. The guys league didn't just happen they had to work at it and I think we should too.
