About this league

Objective:
The purpose of The Points League is to encourage friendly competition, to meet and play with new people of all levels, and to promote the sport of disc golf in Plattsburgh and the surrounding communities.

Overview:
The season will run for 31 weeks from April 1, 2025 to October 28, 2025. This allows people the opportunity to accumulate enough rounds to make a minimum of 15 scored rounds.

$25 Entry Fee Breakdown:
$15 Division Place Finishers (Pay top 1/4 of each division)
$5 Club
$5 Ace Pot

Points:
Allows players to compete in a division with other players with similar skill levels. Points are calculated as follows: you receive 2 points for playing a league round and 1 point for every person you score better than. Only your 15 best point rounds are added together giving you your total for the season. Watch for our LCDG Monthly's that are worth double the points and pay out that day!

Divisions:
Pro/Advanced, Intermediate and Recreational.

Conduct:
PDGA rules are implied during these league rounds and self-officiating by club members. Members should demonstrate mutual respect, sportsmanship and promote the spirit of disc golf. Most importantly, HAVE FUN.
(PDGA rules can be found at www.pdga.com/rules)

Ace Pot:
$5.00 per entry fee will be set aside to form an ace pot. After the season ends the ace pot will be divided among those who hit an ace throughout the season. If no aces are hit, 50% of the ace pot will roll over to next year, the other 50% will go to the club.

End of Year Rankings:
For the end of year rankings, your top 15 point rounds will be added for your total. The season will be 31 weeks, this should allow most people to get at least 15 rounds in to improve their year end total. There will also be “LCDG Monthly's” which will be worth double points, so be on the lookout for those!

Tags:
Tags are more than welcome to be played during league rounds, but are not mandatory. You must decide before the round if you are playing for tags within a group of people. Tags must be present and can only be played between players playing the same layout. If you need a tag, tags are available for $20.

Conclusion:
This league is designed to bring together those who share a passion for the game of disc golf. Set goals for yourself, make new friends and rivals and most importantly HAVE FUN! Good luck to everyone and here’s to another exciting season of disc golf.
