A fair amount of snow accumulation & cold temperatures brought out a smaller crowd of only 14 players last week for league at Bandemer. We played a Red-Red layout to speed the round up & get everyone out in a decent amount of time. Top score for the evening was a -16 shot by Sprow/Binienda, taking solo first cash! Nice work guys. Second cash went to Weilacher/DesJardins with a -15 score. Last cash was taken by Clauder/Kelly, shooting -13.

Congratulations to Justin Weilacher & Evan Buse for snagging an ace each! Justin got hole 3 & Evan got hole 6. They split the 50% ace pool payout & each added 30 points to their league standings. ::claps::

We have a pretty decent amount of snow coming our way and it appears to start this afternoon and carry on all evening long. The amount of snow in the forecast is expected to make conditions on the roads less than ideal and difficut in many places.

We are making the decision to cancel league for this evening. We hope if you are traveling on the roads this afternoon and evening that you are safe and get home with no major issues.

A snow storm system was predicted to come through towards the end of our round this past Wednesday evening, but even with that, 18 players came out for a round of Red-Red. We played a short layout to speed things up & potentially get everyone home before the snow started. The weather held off during our round but there was some very slippery conditions with lots of ice throughout the course & surrounding most of the baskets. There was a 3-way tie for first place between Blansett/Thelen, Riddle/Krumm & Sprow/York. All teams had -14 scores & decided to split the payout spots evenly.

We had 23 players come out on Wednesday, Jan. 29th. The weather was mild for the middle of winter. With no precipitation & clear tee pads, we played a WR+RW layout. Top score of the evening was Sprow/Quiton with a -15 score & taking solo first cash! Nice shooting! Second cash went to Riddle (Cali) with a -14 score. There was tie for third & fourth cash between Clauder/Joseph & Thelen/Krumm, both team shooting -12. A disc flip decided that Clauder/Joseph would walk with the majority of the split payout.

For our upcoming round on Jan. 12th, there is a fair sized snow storm predicted to start in the afternoon & go through Wednesday & Thursday night. Current predictions are calling for 3-8” of accumulation. We will be keeping an eye on this system & will make an announcement if league is canceled. If league does not get canceled, we’ll look forward to seeing all of you at Bandemer on Wednesday.

Luckily there was little to no wind which helped us from freezing solid out on the course. To make for a faster round, we played a Red-Red layout which lead to a stop score of -16 shot by Sprow/Riddle, taking solo first cash! Great round guys! Second cash was taken by Quiton/Joseph with a -15 score. M.Fleming/Thelen took last cash, shooting -14.

Unfortunately we had to cancel our round this week (Jan. 22nd) due to extreme cold, wind & the concern for our players being safe. But our round that is scheduled for January 29th has better weather forecasted, with temps predicted to be around 30º during our round. We’ll continue playing at Bandemer for our upcoming round(s). Due to the crazy cold temps that we are experiencing, and the forecast thoughout the day and into the evening, the decision to cancel league for this evening has been made. Expected temps near registration and play were anticipated to be sub-zero real feel. I hope that you enjoy the night off from play, stay inside and warm, and spend time doing something you enjoy indoors.

As of right now, next week's forecast looks MUCH better (for winter anyway) with temps expected to be in the mid-high 30s. Time to break out the spring gear!

The winter weather + layout lead to a tie for first & second cash between Trombley/Sprow & Clauder/Quiton, both teams with a -15 score & deciding to split the payout evenly. Last cash was taken by Armstrong/DesJardins, shooting -13.

Temperatures are predicted to be rather brutal around 10-15º the entire night. There will also be snow on the ground during our round. There was a tie for first & second cash between Chapman/Chilson & Sprow/Trombley, both teams with -15 scores! They decided to split the cash evenly. The idea was requested for an alcohol exchange (similar to our disc exchange last week). It has been mentioned in person the last few weeks. This is your reminder that this is coming up in just a few days - THIS WEDNESDAY (JAN. 1ST).

Same general guidelines apply as with the gift exchange:

-Bring a 6-pack (or equivilent bottle of liquor) to include in the exchange.

-For all those that participate, you will have your chance to draw an item in reverse order - lowest place folks draw first. We will work our way up to the highest placing folks until all items have been claimed by those participating.

-Other items MAY also fit the theme of the exchange (that is, age-appropriate items that folks indulge in). You are welcome to confirm those items with us at check-in if needed.

Bring a new disc golf related item approximately a $20 value (typical new disc value is around $16-$20)....wrapped/bagged of course. Discs should be new, non-inked, and un-thrown. Other items are welcome as well (such as towels, chalk bags, minis, shirts, etc). Wrap it up nice, wrap it up in a brown paper bag, use a gift bag, toss it is a plastic bag....that is your call.

If you do not have something on hand, I will have some club inventory on hand if you wanted to purchase something and participate. Reasonable pricing! I MAY even have some items pre-selected and wrapped for you if time permits).

We will play our league round and then at the conclusion, gifts will be selected. It was suggested we go in reverse order or this year. This means that the team that does not score so well during th round, will have first choice, and work our way up to the team(s) that had the hot score for the evening picking last.

It was our 2nd week in a row that called for potential snow, cold temps & gusty winds, but we still had 19 players come out! We played a Red-Red layout, which was probably best since there were a couple of holes with white-out snow squalls that blew through. Even with non-ideal conditions, Binienda/Arnet took solo first cash with a -16 score! Excellent shooting guys! Second cash went to Wolodkin/Krumm with a -13 score. Last cash was split evenly between Common/Kim & Quiton/Neal, both teams shooting -12.

Congratulations to Phil Common & Jacob Quiton for hitting aces! Jacob got Hole 2 & Phil got Hole 3! They split the ace pool payout of $229 & both players added 30 points to their league standings!

You have the opportunity to participate in our annual Secret Santa Disc Golf exchange at our league round on Thursday Dec 26th. This is completely optional, but also a lot of fun.

Bring a item, choose an item:

We played R3+B3+W3 - RW layout and had 26 players show up. Taking the win was a -14 (HOT DAMN) by Neil Buchanan/Mark Guldner. There was a 3-way tie at -12 for the remaining cashing spots. A disc flip help determine payouts. Common/Sprow took $30, with DesJardins/Joseph and Clauder/Thelen taking $20 each.

We had a small turnout with cold, winds, and snow in the forecast. We had 13 players and played the W-R layout. Many of us made it through maybe 13-14 holes before the snow started, and it came down QUICK.

Tops scores on the evening included a pair of -13 by Riddle/Desjardins and Thelen (cali - on his BIRTHDAY no less). Last cash went to Quiton/Sprow at -11.

Coming in with a blistering -17 score & taking solo first cash was Ballios/Weilacher. Excellent round guys! Second cash was taken by Thelen/Burrow shooting -15. Our first ever glow league round at Northridge Church brought out 34 people to play a layout that included Holes 1-9 (x2), with alternate tee positions for holes 1 & 9 + long pin positions. The weather was fairly windy, per usually at Northridge, with mild air temps & the rain holding off until the very end of the night. Common/Sweet took solo first cash with a -13 score. Excellent round guys! Second cash went to Guldner/DesJardins, shooting -12. There was tie for third & fourth cash between Thelen/York & Woody/Newman, both teams with -10 scores. A disc flip resulted in Thelen/York getting the majority of the cash. Last cash went to Sprow/Kelly, shooting -9.

Nothridge was a fun change of pace & a great course to test out before the weather worsens. But with a rainy night in the forecast for this week’s round on November 20th, we decided it would be best to play at Bandemer Park where there’s more tree cover to block some of the poor conditions. Even with not so great conditions in the forecast for Wednesday, we’ll look forward to seeing everyone that’s able to make it out!

I just wanted to drop a quick message about league this coming week. Looks to be a wet night, and we will be at BANDEMER for the round. We are looking to take advantage of a little extra cover that the wooded course will provide for the round.

We’re trying something different for this week’s league round on November 13th. We will be playing at Northridge Church (49555 N Territorial Rd, Plymouth Charter Twp, MI 48170) & plan to do a loop on the front 9 holes including both long & short tee pads. Registration will be the same as always, opening at 7pm & closing at 7:30pm when roll call is announced. We will be set up in the Southwest side/corner of the parking lot, nearest Hole 1.

We’re excited to try something new for leagues & we’ll look forward to seeing everyone out at Northridge on Wednesday!

As mentioned at league this past week, we are going to be playing NorthRidge Church for our league round this next week (Nov 13th).

This is an exciting change as this course is not only new to our league round, but also offers a of change from what we are used to with Bandemer and MBD. Longer holes, challenging pin placements, and wide open fairways provide things that we have not seen in our league with our normal courses.

Please join us at the back of the church property where the course starts. We will be playing holes 1-9 twice, likely utilizing both long and short pads. The course was changed from the orginal design, so these holes are what largely made up the back 9 from the origial layout.

Hole 1 is a the back for the property, and as visual reference there are practice baskets, some cnstruction-style trailers, as well as pine trees that line/divide the parking lot area from hole 1's fairway.

I will also work on getting a photo posted in the PICTURES tab above so everyone can easily find our starting spot.

There was windy but clear & cool conditions at Mary Beth Doyle for a round where 23 players joined us this past Wednesday. We played an Alternates + Shorts layout that included Alt 3 (2’s pad to 3’s basket), Alt 6 (middle pad) & Alt 11 (abandoned pad by 11 short).

There was a tie for first & second cash between Wolodkin/Soule & Quiton/Krumm, both teams with -13 scores. Third cash went to Sprow/Buse, shooting -12. There was a tie for last cash between DesJardins/Armstrong & Weilacher/Ballios, both teams with -11 scores. A disc flip decision was made & DesJardins/Armstrong walked with the cash.

The moon shined brightly upon the 34 players who came out to Mary Beth Doyle for a round of Long Even, Short Odd pads. Chilly temps with clear skies made for a great evening of fall disc golf. Taking solo first cash with a -12 score was Perras/Anderson. Nicely done! There was a 3-way tie for second, third & fourth cashing spots between Blansett/Ballios, Common/Priebe & Sprow/Watts, all teams shooting -11. A disc flip decision decided that Blansett/Ballios would get $10 more than the other two teams. There was also a 3-way tie for last cash between Trombley/Kelly, Wolodkin/Quiton & Crouch/Weilacher. Another disc flip decision decided that Trombley/Kelly would take the cash.

Congratulations to Tommy Wittman for getting an ace on Hole 3! He took home $92 from the ace pool & added 30 points to his league standing.

We had a good turnout with 33 players joining us for our round last week at Bandemer. We played a BRW + WR layout under clear skies with cool air temps. A little more difficult layout lead to some score separation, but Trombley/Riddle took solo first cash with a -13 score! Great job you two! There was a 5-way tie for the remains 4 cashing spots between Roman/Priebe, Neal/Anderson, Sprow/Brayton, Common/Walker & Weilacher/Quiton. A disc flip decision was made resulting in Romine/Priebe taking the majority of the payout & the rest was split evenly between the remaining 4 teams.

Adding to the solo first cash, Eli Riddle hit an ace on Hole 5 from the Red pad! He took home $110, donated a few bucks back to the ace pool & added 30 points to his league standing. ::claps::

There were 27 people who joined us for our round last week at Bandemer Park. The conditions were prime for glow disc golf with cool temps & clear, but very dark skies. We played a B3, W3, R3 + RW layout which lead to a tie for first & second cash between Quiton/Sweet & Blansett/Krumm, both teams with -14 scores. Second cash went to Clauder/Priebe, shooting -12. Last cash was taken by Thelen/Ballios with a -11 score.

31 players came out to Mary Beth Doyle last week for a round of Long Odd, Short Even pads. We had a beautiful night with warm temps & clear skies. Quiton/Soule took solo first cash with a -16 score. Nice shooting guys! Second cash went to Brayton/Ballios with a score of -14. There was a throw off for the remaining three payouts spots between 5 tying teams. The throw off resulted Sprow/Armstrong, Common/Krumm & Chilson/Picard having the three closest to pin shots & splitting the remaining cash evenly.

Congratulations to Kyle Cser for hitting an ace on Hole 12. Kyle took home $120 & added 30 points to his league standing.

A great opening night to the fall/winter season with great temps and clear skies. We saw 30 players join us for the round, including a few new faces to league, as well as a few returning players who had taken some time away from league. We played LONG tees at MBD.

Top scores on the evening included a pair of -12 scores from Cluader/Brayton and DesJardins/Whitman. They elected to split the cash. Following closeely was a -11 by Neal/Quiton, with a -10 by Riddle/Rednour taking last cash.
