About this league

Points Series League

The Sunday Devotional is a PFD local league which includes PDGA rated rounds. This league is a point series league where players will accumulate points over the regular season and will compete in the playoffs at the end of the season. The season will run from April 7th until November 10, 2024
The schedule has been posted on the schedule tab above.
Location:

The league's home course is Knob Hill Community Park in Warrendale PA. Once every 3-4 rounds we will travel to a course in the greater Pittsburgh Area. Those rounds will be double (x2) points. Upon request from the PFD, the leagues playing location for a given week may be adjusted to accommodate specific PFD activities. The schedule that is posted is current but is subject to be adjusted.

Registration/Tee Times:

1. Preregistration/signups are required to play

(Sign up sheet) https://bit.ly/2zA2QYy

2. PayPal and Venmo will be used to collect league fees and are required to play. We will also do payouts by this method.
([email redacted])

3. Scores and scorecards will all be digital. We will use the PDGA live scoring as well as UDISC or another approved scoring app to turn in our scores.https://www.pdga.com/news/how-score-2024-player-td-guidance

4. Tee Times are requested and you will be assigned a tee time between 830am-10am. You will be notified of your start time and group the Saturday evening prior to league.

5. Day of Signups - This season we are bringing back (a modified) show up and play format (Only for rounds held at our home course Knob Hill Park)
You will still be required to use the sign up sheet to register! However, cards will be formed in person during the "sign up window". The "sign up window" will be on home course days between 9 & 930. Otherwise tee times and pre-registered cards will still have the opportunity to book tee times from Early (before 8:30am), 8:30AM - 9:00AM and 9:40 AM - 10:00 AM. Groups are required to have 3 people minimum and 5 maximum. You can either find an existing 3 player card (at designated time) or you must play with any other competitors who sign up late. If you do not get on a designated tee time card you must tee off at 10am
Late sign ups are required to pay league fees prior to weekly final results or their round will result in a 999.
This modified old school sign up way is subject to change we're going to see how it works. If it becomes too much work or stress for myself we will revert back to how it was*

6. Early start time requests - If you request to start prior to the designated tee time window you may do so via the league sign up sheet. Players choosing early tee time may start anytime before 8:20am with the last card teeing off at 8:20am. All players requesting early tee times are responsible for finding their own group. Groups are required to have 3 people minimum and 5 maximum.

We reserve the right to adjust the start time to accommodate the PFD, players, and the league commissioner when required. Please check the Pittsburgh Sunday Devotional league website to confirm location and time.

Entry Fees:
Each player wishing to participate in the Sunday Devotional must pay an entry fee.
Entry Fee: $4
PFD Fee: $1
PDGA Fee: $1
Total Entry Fee = $6
Optional Ace Pot = $1
From the Entry Fee, $1 from each player each week played will be set aside for the overall point series payouts at year end.
Divisions:
Players can decide to play in different divisions on a week by week basis, but points earned will remain in each division played.
Tee Assignments:
Unfortunately due to PDGA guidelines all divisions must play the same tees in a given week to be sanctioned. We will make this as accommodating as possible for all divisions. Please refer to the news section for an overview of tee assignments for each given week.

Points:
Players will compete in the division of their choice and will accumulate 1 point for each week played, and 1 point for each player they beat or tie within their division (points won in each division are counted separately). Each player's top 20 rounds played will earn you points towards your division. Anyone with at least 5 weeks played will earn a 50 point bonus. At least 10 rounds played 75 point bonus. 15 or more rounds played 100 point bonus. The person who plays the most rounds will earn the title of "2021 Devotee" and earn a 150 point bonus for the playoffs. Double Points weeks will occur once every 3 weeks and during travel rounds to encourage a higher turnout. During these weeks players accumulate 2 points for each week played and 2 points for each player they beat or tie within their division

Weekly Payouts:
Weekly Payouts will follow PDGA standard payout tables. All divisions will be paid out cash. $1 from each round will be kept for year end points series winnings.
The ace pot is capped at $200. Once the ace pot exceeds $200, a separate reserve ace pot is created.

Playoffs/Final: The playoff format is TBD
