Women Strolling Rolling 2024 - June 15th

This is a disc golf league for ladies who are interested in improving their game or learning how to begin discing in a women only setting. Many women have mentioned wanting to learn how to disc golf, but feel anxiety when playing with their male friends for various reasons. Grit & Grace is a space for women to feel comfortable and gain confidence playing together. If you don't have any discs, feel free to join us and we can supply you with plastic for the round. Ladies league is played in a best shot doubles format, where you and your partner will choose the best lie to play from every shot. Players are welcome to choose their partners, otherwise we randomly pair players together. If we have a group of 8+ players we will split into separate groups, otherwise with < 7 we will play as one group.
League is every Monday at 6:30pm. We’ll be rotating between the courses in the Washtenaw County area with our home base being Bandemer Park in Ann Arbor. Please arrive before 6:30pm so we can tee off on time!
League is FREE to play!! But there's also an optional buy-in for the side games of $5 which is broken down into:
$1 - towards the 100% Cash CTP
$1 - towards the 100% Longest Putt prize
$1 - for the Ace Pool (50% payout unless you have paid into the Ace Pool at least 3 times for the season. If you've paid in 3 times then it's 100% of the ace pool).
$2 - goes to the club
We will be giving away two berths (or invitations) to the Michigan State Disc Golf Championships in Ludington on Sept. 1-3, 2024. We will be hosting a G&G "Berthday" challenge in late July. In order to qualify to compete on the Berthday, you will have had to come to 3 league nights. We will have an array of stations where each competitor will gain points based on their skill. The three competitor with the most points will earn their berth to the State Championships! This is the only night that Grit & Grace is competitive.
This is a trans-friendly group. I expect that we as sisters can respect one another. If you don't think you'd be comfortable with that than this group probably isn't a good fit for you.
Disc golf is an amazing experience! Being outside, hiking, learning physics & body mechanics, getting exercise, and meeting new faces. It's therapy for the mind, body & soul. Come give it a whirl! Hope to see you Monday. :)
