The Fall/Winter 2023-2024 season has come to an end & it was one of the best seasons yet! This season was one of the most highly attended seasons with an average of 28 players every round. There were 106 different people who played with us & 11 aces throughout the 26 rounds we played.

Our Fall/Winter 2023-2024 season winner is Scott Sprow! Congratulations & it is very well deserved. Scott had a record breaking season & was the first to make it to a 700+ points standing. Sprow also contributed 3 out of the 11 total aces & finished in first place (with partner) 12 out of the 26 rounds, making for a rather impressive season! ::claps::

The last round of the season on March 13th brought out 31 players for a round of BWR + RW at Bandemer. We had excellent weather temps in the 50s & no precipitation, which lead to a top score of -15 from Herron/Chilson, taking solo first cash! Well done guys. Second cash went to Clauder/M.Magner with a -14 score. Third thru fifth cash was split evenly by Ritchey/Powell, Armstrong/Johnson & Monteith/Weilacher, all teams shooting -13.

There was a throw-off for 1/2 of the total ace pool from Hole 1 Red. Phil Common had the #1 CTP & Logan Burrow took the #2 CTP! The ace pool will start at $140 next season.

I want to thank you all for making a really great Fall/Winter League season. We have some REALLY great nights of attendance and I hope that you all enjoyed hanging out with fellow golfers.

Nate will work on posting the final rounds scores and updating the overall standings. We have some berths to award, and I will be reaching out to players that are in line to recieve a berth in the coming days. In addition to our normal league berths, I also requested and received a berth to be allocated to a female divison player as well as one for a Age-protected division player.

We will plan to take a 2 week break and resume on Wednesday April 3rd. I will work on creating the new league season here on DGS and post the starting course. I will likely wait until we get a little closer to that date with the hopes that MBD might be a good condition. We spent A LOT of time and Bandemer and I would like to provide a change as soon as possible.

I want to thank you for being the reason why this league continues to grow, change for the better, and exist. I always welcome ideas and suggestions about ways that we can bring something new to the league and continue to work at improving the experience for everyone. If you have ideas, please send them my way.

Tying for first & second cash & splitting the cash evenly was Burrow/Quiton & M.Kelly/Weilacher, both teams shooting -12. There was a tie for last cash between Sprow/Brayton & Anderson/McMahon with -11 scores. They decided to flip for the cash & Anderson/McMahon won the flip.

We had another fantastic turnout of 40 players for our round this past Wednesday. We switched it up & snuck in a round at Mary Beth Doyle while we had clear skies & warmer temperatures but some crazy amounts of mud. We played the winter loop layout (1, 2, Alt 3, 10 S/L, Alt 11, 12 S/L, 13, 14 S/L, 18) which lead to a top score of -17 from Quiton/Paquin, taking solo first cash! Sick shooting guys! Second cash went to Sprow/Weilacher with a -15. 3rd thru 6th (last) cash was split evenly between Crouch/Wiedenfeld, Thelen/Armstrong, Krumm/Blansett & Common/Powell. All teams with -14 scores & deciding to donate the extra $10 back to the ace pool for next week.

Speaking of ace pool, Mike Pilon took 1/2 off the total pot home with him which was $123. He aced Hole 14, but to 17s basket since we played it as an alternate basket during the 2nd loop. Congrats Mike!

Taking solo first cash on a tough layout with a -15 score was Common/Quiton! Second cash went to Powell/Weilacher, shooting -14. Third & fourth cash was split between Clauder/Paquin & Herron/Sprow, both teams with -11 scores. A disc was flipped to see who got the majority of the cash with Clauder/Paquin winning the flip.

A near record breaking turnout of 42 (43 is the record) players came out last Wednesday for a round of BRW + WR at Bandemer. The weather was great for early February with warmer than usual temps, no precipitation & clear pads. Rather ideal conditions lead to a hot score of -14 from Chilson/Common, taking solo first cash! Second cash went to Plantz/Anderson with a -13 score. There was a 4-way tie between Watts/Weilacher, Thelen/Paquin, Jopps/Kim & Brayton/Quiton, all with -11 scores. They split third thru sixth cash & flipped for the bonus $10 with Watts/Weilacher winning the flip.

There were TWO ACES during our round! Jason Jopps aced hole 5 from the red pad & Aeris Behrends got her FIRST EVER ACE on hole 2 from the red pad. Both players took home $62 & added 30 points to their league standings. Congratulations to both of you!!

A pair of -15s were turned in by Quiton/Sprow and DesJardins/Kelly. Those teams elected to split the payout. Last cashing spot went to a -14 by Hanna/Watts.

We had a really good turnout of 37 people for our round this past Wednesday night at Bandemer. There was cold temperatures but clear pads for a round of WR+RW, which lead to a top score of -15 from Plantz/MacDonald, taking solo first cash. Nice job guys! Second & third cash was split evenly between Monteith/Clark & Common/Quiton, both teams with -14 scores. Fourth cash went to Fifer/T.Magner, shooting -13. Fifth & six cash was flipped for between Crouch/Sprow, Weilacher/Jopps & Perras/M.Kelly. All teams with a -12 score & the disc flip resulting in Perras/M.Kelly taking the cash.

Sprow snagged another ace (3rd of the season) on Hole 2 from the Red pad. He added $225 dollars to his pocket & 30 more points to his already crushing league standing. Hell yeah Sprow!!

Incredible shooting guys! Second cash went to Frame (Cali) with a -16 score! Also excellent shooting! Holiday Disc Exchange Fun - Dec 20th

You have the opportunity to participate in the Secret Santa disc exchange at our league round on Wednesday Dec 20th. This is completely optional, but also a lot of fun.

Bring a item, choose an item:

Bring a new disc golf related item approximately a $15-20 value (typical new disc value is around $15-$20)....wrapped/bagged of course. Discs should be new, non-inked, and un-thrown. Other items are welcome as well (such as towels, chalk bags, minis, shirts, etc).

If you do not have something on hand, I will have club inventory on hand if you wanted to purchase something and participate. Reasonable pricing! I MAY even have some items pre-selected and wrapped for you if time permits)

We will play our league round and then at the conclusion, gifts will be selected. In the past, winning scores from the round will have first choice at the items that were brought (assuming individuals participated by bringing something themselves). If there are other ideas about how to make that happen, please message me to share your thoughts.

2nd place will go next, and so on until all gifts have been selected. We have done this for the past few years and I think things have gone well. In addition to that, who does not like getting some new disc golf gear?

We had a near record setting WC Glow League attendance! 40 players came out to Mary Beth Doyle for our round last Wednesday. We had fair temperatures, clear skies & no precipitation. It was a perfect night for a round of Long Odds - Short Evens, which lead to a tie for first & second cash. Herron/Monteith & Krumm/Chilson, both shot -15 & decided to flip for the majority of the cash winnings. Third cash went to Burrow/Quiton with a -14 score. Fourth & fifth cash was split evenly between Crouch/Priebe & Weilacher/M.Fleming. There was a 4-way tie for last cash between Fifer/Whitmore, Sprow/G.Fleming, Perras/McMann & Watts/Guldner, all shooting -12. The flip resulted in Fifer/Whitmore taking the cash.

Brian Evans got a very well deserved ace after chaining out 2 times & then hitting the ace on Hole 13. Brian took home $105 & added 30 points to his league standings. Congrats man!

Holy Cow! 37 players was amazing to see this past Wednesday for league night. We had a few new faces join us, and we hope that you had a good time and want to come back for future rounds. Just a little light rain at the very end of the round, but overall not bad for early November.

Hot scores on the WR+RW layout included a pair of -13s by Jopps/Armstrong and Common/Clauder. They chose to split the cash for the top two spots. Following that was a 4-way tie at -12 for the remaining cashing spots. Smith/Evans, Sprow/Watts, Plantz/Krumm, and Powell/Thelen split the cash evenly.

Last week there were 32 players that came out for the first round that felt like winter conditions this season. We had temperatures near freezing, but no precipitation at Bandemer & we played a White - Red layout. Top score on the night was a -14 shot by Sprow/Watts, taking solo first cash! Second cash went to Wiedenfeld/Quiton with a -12 score. Third cash was taken by Krumm/Grylls, shooting -11. Fourth & last cash was split evenly by Jones/Paquin & Ritchey/Ms.Vick, both with -10 scores.

Tomorrow’s round (Nov. 8th) will be at Bandemer. The temps are predicted to be in the mid-40s with some rain in the forecast. Come prepared for chilly & potentially wet round. We’ll look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow at league.

This coming Saturday, WC Glow is hosting The Glopen at Bandemer. This is an unsanctioned singles tournament where all 27 holes will be played. Registration will go from 3:30-4:30pm & tee off for the first 9 holes (Blue pads) will be at 4:45pm. After the first 9 holes are played, we’ll meet back at the parking lot, shuffle the cards & get ready for the next 18 holes (White & Red pads) of glow golf. This event runs into the night, so please plan accordingly. There are currently still 16 spots available to sign up for, so get in before it fills up!

28 players came out to Mary Beth Doyle to potentially play in the rain all night. We decided to play the Winter Loop (1,2,3,9,10,11,12,13,14,18 x2) in case the weather got worse, but it turned out to be a decent night with only very light rain during the first 9 holes. Fair weather & a short layout led to a top score of -16 from Krumm/Priebe, taking solo first cash. There was a 3-way tie between Ritchey/Anderson, Fleming/Thelen & Blansett/Watts, all with -15 scores. They did a disc flip decision for the remaining cash payouts.

Matt Neal bought a new disc & immediately threw it in the basket on Hole 18! He took home $109 & added 30 points to his league standings. Congrats on the ace!

It was a near perfect fall evening last Wednesday for some true glow golf. 36 players came out to play a round of Long Odd - Short Even pads at Mary Beth Doyle. Dark skies, no precipitation & zero wind turned out to be ideal conditions for some hot shooting. Taking solo first cash with a -17 was Sprow/Brayton! Excellent shooting guys! Second cash went to Binienda/Powell with a -15 score. Monaghan/Quiton took fourth cash with a -14. Common/Armstrong shot a -13 & took fifth cash. Last cash was flipped for by Anderson/Weilacher, Ritchey/Herron & Krumm/Trombley, all shooting -12. Anderson/Weilacher won the flip & took the cash.

Joe Monaghan hit an ace on Hole 2! He took home $166 from the ace pool & added 30 points to his league standings. Congrats Joe!

We had another near perfect night for glow disc golf at Bandemer this week. There were 26 players that came out to play a round of BW+R. Relatively warm temps, zero wind & super dark playing conditions lead to a hot score of -14 from Sprow/Kim, taking solo first cash! Second cash went to Thelen/Krumm with a -13 score. There was a disc flip decision between Hanna/Watts & Wolodkin/Quiton who both shot -12. The disc flip resulted in Hanna/Watts taking the majority of the third & fourth (last) cash.

What a beautiful night we had this past Wednesday for our league round at Bandemer. We had summer like temperatures & humidity with zero wind, which was ideal for playing a BWR + WRB layout. There was a 3-way tie for first, second & third cash between Sprow/Hanna, Chapman/Thelen & Gacioch/Weilacher, all three shooting a -13 score & splitting the cash evenly. Fourth cash went to Herron/D.Powell with a -12. Fifth cash was taken by Rusinek/Ritchey with a -11 score. Common/Jones took last cash with a -10.

The first ace of the season was hit by Scott Sprow on Hole 2 from the red tee pad. He took home $218 & added 30 points to his league standing. Congrats friend!

We didn’t have the best weather last Wednesday, but 23 troopers came out to MBD to play a round in the light rain that held up all night. We played the Winter Loop layout with a couple of alternate shots (1, 2, Alt 3 (2 to 3s basket), 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, Alt 14 (14 to 17s basket), 18). Top score on the night was from Sprow/Monteith, with a -13 score, taking solo first cash! A pair of -11 scores between Hanna/Armstrong & Krumm/Howard resulted in disc flip with Hanna/Armstrong winning the majority of the split second & third place cash. Last cash was taken by Wolodkin/Weilacher, shooting -10.

We had perfect weather & played a Long Even - Short Odd layout, which lead to a hot score of -15 shot by Blansett/Jopps taking solo first cash. Sprow/Perras took second cash with a -14.
