Week 10

For the final week, we were at The Scope playing holes 1-3, 15, 11, 12, 6, 13, 9 (par 31). MPO and MA2 played from the Blue (long) tees and everyone else played from the White (short) tees.

We had pretty good weather, cloudy but no rain, and temperatures near 70°!

• Blake (MPO) had the hot round at -2 with 3 birdies (12, 6, 13) #turkey and 1 bogey on 3.
• Robert Mayes had the most birdies on the night with 4! (1, 2, 11, 13)
• Bruce had the second-ever throw-in from the drop zone on hole 3!
• Liam had 2 birdies on the night, both of which were the CTP holes, which he ended up winning!

Challenges
• Hole 3 CTP – Liam! 6 credits
• Hole 15 CTP – Liam! 6 credits

The Scope was treacherous. We had 5 tough guys come out to play 9 holes (10-15 & 6-8) from the White (short) tees.

• Michael Jones (MA50) had the hot round for Amateurs at -1 with 2 birdies (10 & 13) and 1 bogey on 14.
• Blake Hohlbein led the way shooting -6 with 6 birdies! At one point Blake was #stackingturkeys as he birdied 11, 12, 6, 13, and 7 in order Blake’s other birdie was on the last hole, 15.
• Sebastian Dunham birdied 13 & 15 and finished Even Par.
• Liam Foremans was -2 after the first two (10 & 11) #hotstarts and would birdie hole 7 as well, but took 3 bogeys to finish Even Par.
• Connor Lucas birdied his first hole, and battled through the rest of the round to finish +1.

It was DARK at The Scope! Unfortunately, Blake was delusional in thinking we could get 12 holes done by 7:00. We will play 9 holes for weeks 8 & 9. MPO & MA2 played from the Blue (long) Tees and everyone else played from the White (short) Tees.
• Michael Jones (MA50) had the hot round at +1 with 2 birdies (3 & 16) and 3 bogeys (4, 8, & 10).
• #HOTSTARTS Robert Mayes (MA40) had a blemish on the difficult hole 16, his first hole, but then went -4 through his next 7 holes!
• Newcomer, Ashton Dempsey (FA2), came out and showed her skills shooting +11 on the difficult Scope course!
• Sebastian Dunham (MPO) had a FILTHY birdie on 10 Blue. See video of putt!
• Liam E Foreman tried to bank a putt off of a cone and in… maybe

• High School Highlight: We had a newcomer, Braden Conn whom we put in MA2 because of a late arrival, but he actually took down the win for Tecumseh as he was strangely the only high schooler to show up! He played the tough Blue layout and held his own, finishing +14. This is the first win for Tecumseh since the reign of graduates Andrew Rowe and Ryan Firchau.

Challenges
• Hole 1 CTP – Robert Mayes! 4 credits!
• Hole 8 Long Putt – Nobody won as there was some confusion. We will bring this back for a throw off for the people that had a shot! Robert, Liam, Connor, and Blake! For 4 credits!

(Note: since Liam played a different layout than the other AM’s I am going to give him credit for next week)

The second week at The Scope was WET! It was windy and coming down pretty hard the first few holes before it calmed down. We had 9 brave souls battle the adverse conditions! We also had a newcomer, Grayson Gossett in the MJ15 division!

• Blake Hohlbein (MPO) had a solid round shooting -7 with 1 bogey! Blake started on 17 and was -7 through 10 holes with a #turkey on 5-8. #stackingturkeys

• COMEBACK of the DAY: Michael Jones started on 1 and was +2 through 3 holes. He then proceeded to par out , tanking no more bogeys to finish +2 #mentaltoughness
• High School Highlight: Jayse Land shot a solid +8, finishing 5th over all competitors for the night. His highest finish among all competitors to date! And a win for LCS!

It was a little windy and chilly, yet comfortable. We played from the blue (long) tees on 1-9 and 16-18 (12 holes).

• Blake Hohlbein (MPO) had the hot round at even par (E). This is the first time in the history of our league that the hot round hasn't been under par. Blake had 4 birdies, but got eaten up by the island holes and an OB left on hole 7.
• #shotoftheday Michael Jones threw a direct laser beam from Drop Zone 1 on hole 16 to SLAM CHAINS for an AMAZING birdie!
• Liam E Foreman went long-right over the fence off the tee of 18 with a roadrunner, which is absolutely insane!
• Out of the 120 holes that were played, there were only 8 birdies. Holes Birdied: 1, 4, 6, 7, 8 (x2), 9, and 16. This means 2, 3, 5, 17, and 18 (42% of the course) were not birdied.
• COMEBACK of the DAY: Michael Jones started on 17 and was +3 through 2 holes. He then settled in and birdied 1, battled through holes 2-9 shooting +4 for the stretch, and capped off the round with the amazing birdie on 16! #mentaltoughness
• Jayse Land (MJ18) was the only player to make the island on hole 3. The #islandboy gets the High School win for Lenawee Christian! He made island 1 on 16 as well!

• Sebastian Dunham (MPO) had a solid round shooting a bogey-free -9, his hottest round of the year! Sebastian started on 1 and was -4 through 6 with a #turkey on 4-6.
• #HOTSTARTS Michael Jones was -3 through 6! Erika Smith and Ben Sotelo were -2 through 6!
• Brian Bradish had a #turkey on 10-12.
• #STARFRAME Sebastian Dunham, Blake Hohlbein, and Brian Bradish had 3 starframes! 10, 11, & 17! Another very nice STARFRAME came from Erika Smith, Liam E Foreman, and Connor Lucas on hole 4!
• Ben Sotelo made his first appearance at the Thursday night league and made a statement, shooting -3 and taking a CTP!
• COMEBACK of the DAY: Liam Foreman started on 7 and was +2 through 4 holes. He then proceeded to birdie 13 & 14 and #turkey 3-4! Liam finished -3! #mentaltoughness
• James Yoder gets the first win for Adrian High School this fall as he takes down Jayse Land for the first time ever! With 2 holes to play, Jayse dropped out, being forced to take par+4 on each hole. With that, James finished +17 and Jayse finished +19.

The wind was down, the temperature was warm, yet slightly crisp. A perfect beginning of fall feeling day. We had 3 new players with us! A big welcome to Timothy Enright Jr and the McEldowney bros, AJ and Wyatt! We had 15 people! We played 7 & 18 as par 4's.

• Blake Hohlbein (MPO) went #bonkers and shot the hottest round of the year at 43 (-13)! Blake started on hole 5 and went bogey-free, at one point taking a birdie on 7 HOLES IN A ROW (14-2). #stackingturkeys *This ties the previous record of birdies in a row set by Derick Du Vall on May 11, 2023.
• Erika Smith had a #turkey! (10-12)
• Connor Lucas had 5 birdies and Erika Smith had 6 birdies!
• COMEBACK of the DAY: Ronald Stringer started on 1 and was +7 through his front 9 holes, but battled back and shot E on the back, to finish +7. #mentaltoughness
• There were no starframes.

• Hole 12 – Blake Hohlbein was just being silly, as he took the CTP with a LEFT-HANDED CTP! Wow! 5 club credits!

The conditions were gloomy and windy but we didn't get rained on!

• Robert Mayes had an ACE on hole 8! $62 to Money Bag Bob!

• HOT STARTS: Blake Hohlbein (MPO) went -6 through his first 8 holes (7-14) and had a #turkey on holes 12-14! Blake also shot the hot round at 46 (-10)!

• COMEBACK of the DAY: Robert Mayes was +1 through 3 holes, but then proceeded to #turkey 4-6 and ACE 8 in to get to -4, where he would eventually finish his round. #mentaltoughness

• #STARFRAME: Blake Hohlbein (MPO), Simon Suboski (MA2), and Liam Liam E Foreman (MA2) had an incredible star frame on hole 1 (long). Blake and Liam made some amazing putts and SIMON LINE SUBOSKI had the best drive ever seen with a RHBH Inniva Star Shryke. I wish he would have paid in for CTP's because it was ABSOLUTELY PARKED!

• Blake Hohlbein (MPO) shot the hot round at 47 (-8) for the second week in a row!
• Strange Fact: Everyone in MA3 shot +6.
• HOT STARTS: Blake Hohlbein started on hole 10 and birdied his first three holes (10-12) for a #turkey to start his night!
• Robert Mayes had the only other turkey of the night (6-8).
• COMEBACK of the DAY: Michael Jones was +2 through 3 holes, but settled in to finish +5. #mentaltoughness
• #STARFRAME: Blake Hohlbein (MPO), Erika Smith (FPO), Robert Mayes (MA40), and Bill Cottrell (MA3) had a star frame on hole 1.
