Saturday the 25th. - Midland County Parks & Rec are finishing a promotional video highlighting offerings available to visitors. The remaining segment needed is to film disc golfing at The Jungle so this Saturday Relm 30 (Steve Relm) Media Production Company will be at the park to take some footage while we play our round. Steve is bringing his wife and daughters and will do some staged shots just to add to the diversity of players shown enjoying the sport. If anyone DOES NOT want their image used in the promotion, please see Steve before teeing off. Otherwise show up and be sporting your best disc golf outfit and attitude. tee off at The Jungle is 10:00, Midland to follow.

UPDATE ON WICKES PARK DISC GOLF,Saginaw Township office says that course should be up and playable in aprox. 2 weeks. They have planned setting the concrete for the pins middle/end of next week, allowing 5 to 10 days for it to cure. Hey all, the course is in need of some help. There is a downed tree in the walk way between 9 and 10, big enough that simply stepping over it is not an option. 15, looks like someone was screwing around with the smaller trees cause they are all over and down by the pin. Also the pin itself is spray painted blue, the top number, the front chains, the basket. And just in general it looks like someone did a number on it. So if anyone has a chainsaw and the time before leagues its probably a good idea to head out that way. See you all in another couple of weeks.

To any and all of you that would like a chance to play in the Michigan State Disc Golf Championships, show up Monday night at Blizzard Hills when The PDGC will have a putting competition for the final remaining Berth Package that not only allows you to play in the State Championships in Ludington on Labor Day weekend but also includes 1 Custom full color Discraft championship disc, 1 mini, 1 Discraft hat and 1 water bottle. The fee to play in this putting contest shouldn't exceed $3.00 a player, assuming we have enough players to compete. Be there for a shortened version of league (12 holes) , with the putting contest immediately following.
