Welcome to the “Livin' the Dream at Portage Lakes State Park Flex Start”! This is a Tour Fundraiser Tournament presented by Dream Disc Golf Company, at Portage Lakes State Park in Akron, OH.
• Dream Disc Golf Company is a small business owned by touring pros Lauren Butler 65489 (2018 Rookie of the Year) and Alex Berg 65488. We have been “Living the Dream“ playing disc golf and living in our van since 2016; We are proud to be part of the grassroots disc golf movement! We started out just playing as Amateurs but quickly started hosting our own non-sanctioned events and 2 disc challenges! Now we run Free Kids events as well as Free Beginner/Kids Clinics as we tour throughout the year! All proceeds for this tournament will go to our 2023 Disc Golf Tour!

•This event is a PDGA-sanctioned C-Tier, one round, flex start (choose your own tee time) on Thursday August 10th, 2023.
Layouts:
MPO, FPO, MP40, MA40, MP50, MA1, FA1, MA2, MA3- Long tees pads to Short Baskets, expect hole 10 and hole 17 long tees to long basket.
MA50+, FA40+, FA2, FA3, MA4, FA4, All Juniors- Short tees to Short Baskets, expect hole 10 and hole 17 short tees to long basket.
PORTAGE RULES AND OB*
GENERAL OB RULES
-Play a provisional if you are unsure on a ruling.
-Short baskets are noted by an "A" on tee signs and DO NOT have an orange band around the top of basket. Everyone will be playing Short Baskets, except hole 10 and hole 17 will be played to long basket.
OB's
On or over any road or parking lot on holes 1, 2, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9
Surrounded by water from the lake on holes 5, 6, 10,12,14, 15, 16.
Hole 6 roped area and 15 roped area in front of baskets is casual. You may throw from your lie or the drop zone with NO penalty.
Hole 13 island hole. Pavement plays as water. surrounded by pavement is ob, but over it is safe.
Casual relief can be taken from the edge on Hole 14 by the water with no penalty stroke as long as your disc is not surrounded by water
Hole 16 if OB on drive only, from long tee must re tee or go to drop zone adding a stroke. Drop zone is short tee.
•Feel free to change tee times through the registration page as needed. Players will be allowed to tee off in cards of 3 to 5 players, depending on how busy the course is. (We will be taking walk ups all day!)
•The $60 Enty gets Amateurs an awesome Players Pack including one light weight zip up hoodie, 1 Millennium Disc, your choice of tie dye socks, your choice of stickers.
•There will be multiple CTPs available. $5 will get you in on all CTPs! There will be 1 free prize CTP available for women’s and juniors divisions.
•This is a true Amateur event meaning there will awesome trophies but there be no payout. Players Pack are valued at over $75! (Pros will get $cash$)
•The trophies are handmade resin minis! 1st place trophy for divisions of 3+ players, 1st through 3rd place trophies for 15+ players in the division!
•Dream Disc Golf will be vending discs and handmade tie dye shirts, resin minis, + more on site.
•Professionals will play for Cash (no trophy)
•Lauren and Alex will be hosting a Free Clinic at 4 pm for anyone interested! You do not have to be registered for the Portage Lakes Flex Start to participate in the clinic! We highly encourage beginners and families to come out and bring your little ones!! We will have a Ring of Fire at the end of the clinic with some free prizes!
