Matthew Hull 43 - Regular tees, 18 holes "After a wonderful breakfast at Bob Evans, Sandy and Ryan and I headed to Winton Woods for a pleasant walk on one of the trails before playing a couple of rounds of disc golf! I only played two rounds today but it was a fun time for sure. I made some nice straddle putts and darn near aced #11 with my Shield (looked perfect but hit the top of the bottom lip!)"

Matthew Hull 48 - Regular tees, 18 holes "Wow! I was having a historically bad round (bad drives for the most part...my putting was actually okay today) but the silver lining is that my Neutron Envy hit the perfect line on #14 for the Ace! It came out of my hand smoothly and faded just right with the perfect elevation for a true no-doubter Ace! My Envy is white hot right now!"

Matthew Hull 45 - Regular tees, 18 holes "It was yet another beautiful sunny day today! Sandy and Ryan joined me once again for a few rounds and we had a great time! This furlough week has honestly been a godsend as I really needed a chance to break away from work and enjoy life and my family more. It's been great! :) In any case, my putting was certainly better today than it was on Tuesday. I played a bit better overall too (despite the fact I snagged two Aces the other day!)"

Matthew Hull 40 - Regular tees, 18 holes "What a killer round! I had it going this time around and, were it not for me playing #3 so poorly (BAD putting), my personal best could have fallen here. My Sword hit some wonderful lines on the two long holes (#4 and 12) while my Envy, Shield, and Roach were my main choices for the other holes (along with the Blue Bomber Buzzz of course!) My Shield hit the gap on the 90 ft. #11 but it unfortunately came in too low and hit the bottom lip of the basket."

Matthew Hull 51 - Regular tees, 18 holes "Wow...just wow... After having that wonderful -14 round, I laid a gigantic egg on the very next round. I played the back nine with Bill R. and it's unfortunate that he got to see one of my worst EVER holes (the 5 on #10 was thanks to hapless putting). It was pretty bad for sure. Oh well...rounds like these will certainly keep me humble! ;)"
-13
Matthew Hull 41 - Regular tees, 18 holes "That's more like it! It was nice to bounce back from possibly my worst round of the year with one that threatened my personal best! I threw the Shield a lot during this round along with the occasional Envy toss. I did have a few ridiculous putt spit-outs where I hit dead center chains and the putt didn't stick. It was pretty ridiculous to say the least."
-12
Matthew Hull 42 - Regular tees, 18 holes "Another solid round! My Matrix and Neutron Envy both came close on #1 today (just came in slightly too elevated) and I even broke out my trusty old Nuke S.S. disc on #4 and it hit a good line there! I continued to come close to acing several holes but nothing was hitting that perfect line today."
-12
Matthew Hull 42 - Regular tees, 18 holes "Even though I couldn't quite obtain an Ace today, I am proud of the way I played! Other than one lousy round, my putting was better and I placed my upshots right where they needed to be."

Matthew Hull 46 - Regular tees, 18 holes "For the first time in 3-4 months, I headed out to Winton Woods and it was a wonderful time playing on this course once again! Sandy and Ryan joined me for the first two and a half rounds and I think that we wore Ryan out! He is so cute as he waits for me to throw then we all run towards the basket together. If I miss a putt, he is quick to rush over and toss it in the basket! He had to do that a few times as my putting was VERY erratic throughout the entire morning/afternoon. The wind was a real factor throughout the day (12-15 mph) but truth be told...I think I just need a break for a few days (5 days in a row playing disc golf!) The more I played...the more I found myself throwing the Envy, Shield, and Roach a LOT! Those three discs hit some great lines @ Winton Woods and they seem to handle those $%&* concrete circular areas around the baskets more than most discs. I *just* missed acing #18 with my Neutron Envy too! It hit a wonderful line but out of my hand I just felt that I didn't put quite enough on the throw (faded just in front of the basket)."
-11
Matthew Hull 43 - Regular tees, 18 holes "Not bad not bad! My drive of the round was easily my Sword on the 290 ft. Hole #12. It went just to the right of the trees and somehow hit the perfect line and dodged all the trees to the right...putting it 5-10 ft. behind the basket! I don't know how it missed hitting EVERYTHING but that would be an unreal Ace if I could throw it again and somehow give it enough height."
-9
Matthew Hull 45 - Regular tees, 18 holes "My Neutron Envy *just* missed on #10 (hit a beautiful hyzer line but came in too low) and I followed it up with a train wreck on the 90 ft. #11. Ahem...MOVING RIGHT ALONG, my Patrol hit the perfect line on #17 and it would have gone in for the Ace easily were it not for it fading more than normal (due to the wind no doubt). It turned beautifully and started to fade and it just looked perfect. So close!"
-13
Matthew Hull 41 - Regular tees, 18 holes "What a round! :) I actually made some decent putts but my drives were spot on for the most part. I feel that I threw my Patrol on just the right line on the severe dogleg right Hole #3. It landed 10-15 ft. to the right of the basket so who knows how close it was to going in (it's a blind shot so you can't see what happens). My Megasoft Shield came SO freaking close on Hole #8 too! It hit a glorious straight line (with slight turn) and as it faded, I thought it was in. It simply glanced off the top of the bottom lip (behind the basket I believe...it all happened so fast) and landed next to the basket. I swear...that freaking hole! Well...in any case, I played the rest of the round very, very well."
-12
Matthew Hull 42 - Regular tees, 18 holes "Ha, ha, haaaaaaa!! FINALLY! After more chain hits and bottom lip/top band collisions than I can count on this one hole over the past few years, my Neutron Envy said "ENOUGH!" and it found the Ace on Hole #8! :) I put a little extra velocity on the throw and my Envy drifted well to the right of the basket before going into its "Ace Position" and fading beautifully while maintaining its height and nailing the chains for yet another Ace! It was glorious and very, VERY satisfying considering how long I have been battling that particular hole/basket. I threw plenty of my Envy the rest of the round too and it came *extremely* close to snagging a second Ace on Hole #14 (threw it to the right of the basket, it faded, hit some chains, but didn't stick). It wasn't my best round ever (missed way too many easy putts...like on #1) but I salvaged the Ace by finishing strong."
-9
Matthew Hull 45 - Regular tees, 18 holes "Considering the train wreck that was the front nine (LOUSY putting), I'll take a 45. I really picked up my game on the back nine by playing it smart and executing on my drives."
-10
Matthew Hull 44 - Regular tees, 18 holes "I didn't throw it a ton today, but I really like what my Blue Bomber Buzzz is doing on Holes #6 and 16. Both holes require a nice, smooth hyzer line throw and my BBB hit some great lines today (hit the bottom lip on Hole #6!) Also, my Roach hit some smooth lines on Hole #9 and darn near found an Ace or two there today (it also landed WAY to the right once as well just to keep it real)."
-12
Matthew Hull 42 - Regular tees, 18 holes "NO WAY!! Are you serious? Despite this being my final round of the day and me being very tired/fatigued (probably should have called it quits a round or two sooner...but I am GLAD I didn't!) all I can tell you is that I willed my Blue Bomber Buzzz into the Hole #7 basket because the drive was a laser beam! My BBB typically will go straight with a very reliable fade so to throw it perfectly straight, you've got to put some zing on the drive. Well...that's what happened because my BBB went perfectly straight (ever-so-slight turn) and gave me minimal fade at the tail end of the throw landing *just* above the bottom lip for the Ace! Isn't that something? I got a second Ace and, like my Envy Ace earlier, this Ace is on a hole that I had never aced before this throw! WOW! I rode the momentum all the way through the back nine and put together a nice finish. Two Aces in my first trip back to Winton Woods in 3-4 months is so gratifying (especially considering the holes I hit!)"

Matthew Hull 46 - Regular tees, 18 holes "I headed over to Winton Woods after a super fun Monday at work (yeah, right!) and I actually stumbled into Bill R. who is a nice guy and a really solid disc golfer. Unfortunately, he is going through some tough times (which I won't divulge here) and, with me still reeling from my cousin Mike's passing, we certainly had plenty to talk about tonight. In the midst of all that, a mediocre round of disc golf happened. The conversation was far more important than the round though. At least my finish was strong. I did make some nice putts (particularly a 25 footer on Hole #17 which went long into the woods). Also, my Neutron Envy came within inches of acing Hole #11 (hit the line beautifully but was too low and jammed into the top of the bottom lip)."
-9
Matthew Hull 45 - Regular tees, 18 holes "For the second straight round, I had to rally late to even salvage the sucker. To be fair, it was a bit windy this evening but still...it was beautiful and nice and warm so there just aren't that many excuses really. It was nice to finish on a nice note though."
-13
Matthew Hull 41 - Regular tees, 18 holes "After having two pretty average rounds, I finally decided to show up in this one! I threw my Star Stingray with solid velocity on Hole #2 (probably a good idea with the tailwind there) and it simply hit a sweet line right into the chains for the Ace! And as you know (if you've read my BOOK of disc golf rounds), nothing gets me going like an Ace! :) I threw my Star Stingray quite a bit this round and it hit some smooth lines for sure. My Roach putts were smooth as well!"
-10
Matthew Hull 44 - Regular tees, 18 holes "My Star Stingray darn near aced Hole #2 again! I didn't put quite enough turn in my throw so it faded early and I had to make a 20 ft. putt (which I did thankfully). I played Hole #3 SO well tonight btw! I typically struggle on this hole but tonight, a combination of Patrol and Roach throws (with lots of turn) hit just the right lines here."
-15
Matthew Hull 39 - Regular tees, 18 holes "What a round! This was quite the special romp through Winton Woods and I tied my personal best! All I can say is that I found my groove and threw in rhythm and everything just clicked! I literally PARKED my Pikachu Pro Boss on #4 (a couple of feet to the left of the basket) and a steady diet of Patrol, Roach, and Neutron Envy drives worked out beautifully. I made some really solid putts to save my bad drives too. What stinks is that I got a freaking THREE on Hole #11. I tied my personal best and I got a three on THAT hole?! I can't complain about the others though. What a round!"
-12
Matthew Hull 42 - Regular tees, 18 holes "It's hard to top a 15 under round but I still managed to finish the night on a positive note. I found a real hot streak on Holes #6-14 before cooling off towards the end. My Pikachu Pro Boss hit a superb line on #12 for the birdie there!"

-13
Matthew Hull 41 - Regular tees, 18 holes "Man! This is not a bad way to start off things on a Friday night! I came SO close to acing Hole #6 too! My Blue Bomber Buzzz hit the perfect line really (smooth hyzer line) and hit a decent amount of chains on the left side of the basket but just couldn't quite stick. I felt great about its chances of going in too! My Patrol continues to be one of the hottest discs in my bag and I threw it early and often."
-12
Matthew Hull 42 - Regular tees, 18 holes "This was another solid round! My putting was good enough although I still missed some pretty easy putts at times. I like the way I played though."
-12
Matthew Hull 42 - Regular tees, 18 holes "It was twilight by this point so I was going through the course pretty quickly. My Star Mako hit a wonderful line on #7 and nailed the pole (way too low to hit the Ace but it looked superb otherwise)."
-11
Matthew Hull 43 - Regular tees, 18 holes "I can't really complain about any of my rounds tonight! Nothing extraordinary happened during this final round but my execution and touch was very solid."

Matthew Hull 43 - Regular tees, 18 holes "It's...Hump Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!! Yes, I am one of THOSE people who celebrates making it halfway through the week like none other. ;) I made the trek to Winton Woods straight from work and somehow, I forget to bring my sport socks so I played in my work/dress socks which was weird but thankfully, I don't think it affected my throws...too much. Outside of totally botching Hole #3 (my Roach has become increasingly flippy and boy did it TURN here), I had a nice round! My Lucid Enforcer nailed #4."
-7
Matthew Hull 47 - Regular tees, 18 holes "Not much to say here other than it was a pretty stinky round. My putting was all over the place today. Overall, it was a pretty mediocre romp although I had a few good putts here and there. Way too many misses in the 20 ft. range though."
-11
Matthew Hull 43 - Regular tees, 18 holes "If one disc felt good tonight, it was certainly my Patrol. Despite being such an understable mid-range disc, on the right day and with the right touch, that disc hits such a beautiful line. I came close on Hole #2 and I found myself throwing it on #5, 8, and even 13. It sure hit some nice lines too! I just barely missed acing Hole #14 with my Neutron Envy too (went just wide right)."
-12
Matthew Hull 42 - Regular tees, 18 holes "Although my play on the back nine REALLY let me down, I had a historically great start to this round with a smooth Glo Roach Ace on Hole #2! I normally throw my Patrol here but my Roach has become so flippy I felt good about inserting it here and my oh my...it hit a beautiful little an-hyzer line and hit dead center chains! I then made a fantastic 25-30 ft. Roach putt on #3 (after a mediocre drive that landed behind some trees) and started to believe that maybe...just maybe my personal best (-15) would fall. Unfortunately, I missed a few very short putts and simply didn't execute as well as I normally do on the back nine. Still, I suppose I shouldn't complain too much, right?"
