Matthew Hull 46 - Regular tees, 18 holes "I headed over to Winton Woods after a super fun Monday at work (yeah, right!) and I actually stumbled into Bill R. who is a nice guy and a really solid disc golfer. Unfortunately, he is going through some tough times (which I won't divulge here) and, with me still reeling from my cousin Mike's passing, we certainly had plenty to talk about tonight. In the midst of all that, a mediocre round of disc golf happened. The conversation was far more important than the round though. At least my finish was strong. I did make some nice putts (particularly a 25 footer on Hole #17 which went long into the woods). Also, my Neutron Envy came within inches of acing Hole #11 (hit the line beautifully but was too low and jammed into the top of the bottom lip)."

Matthew Hull 45 - Regular tees, 18 holes "For the second straight round, I had to rally late to even salvage the sucker. To be fair, it was a bit windy this evening but still...it was beautiful and nice and warm so there just aren't that many excuses really. It was nice to finish on a nice note though."
-13
Matthew Hull 41 - Regular tees, 18 holes "After having two pretty average rounds, I finally decided to show up in this one! I threw my Star Stingray with solid velocity on Hole #2 (probably a good idea with the tailwind there) and it simply hit a sweet line right into the chains for the Ace! And as you know (if you've read my BOOK of disc golf rounds), nothing gets me going like an Ace! :) I threw my Star Stingray quite a bit this round and it hit some smooth lines for sure. My Roach putts were smooth as well!"
-10
Matthew Hull 44 - Regular tees, 18 holes "My Star Stingray darn near aced Hole #2 again! I didn't put quite enough turn in my throw so it faded early and I had to make a 20 ft. putt (which I did thankfully). I played Hole #3 SO well tonight btw! I typically struggle on this hole but tonight, a combination of Patrol and Roach throws (with lots of turn) hit just the right lines here."
-15
Matthew Hull 39 - Regular tees, 18 holes "What a round! This was quite the special romp through Winton Woods and I tied my personal best! All I can say is that I found my groove and threw in rhythm and everything just clicked! I literally PARKED my Pikachu Pro Boss on #4 (a couple of feet to the left of the basket) and a steady diet of Patrol, Roach, and Neutron Envy drives worked out beautifully. I made some really solid putts to save my bad drives too. What stinks is that I got a freaking THREE on Hole #11. I tied my personal best and I got a three on THAT hole?! I can't complain about the others though. What a round!"
-12
Matthew Hull 42 - Regular tees, 18 holes "It's hard to top a 15 under round but I still managed to finish the night on a positive note. I found a real hot streak on Holes #6-14 before cooling off towards the end. My Pikachu Pro Boss hit a superb line on #12 for the birdie there!"

Matthew Hull 41 - Regular tees, 18 holes "Man! This is not a bad way to start off things on a Friday night! I came SO close to acing Hole #6 too! My Blue Bomber Buzzz hit the perfect line really (smooth hyzer line) and hit a decent amount of chains on the left side of the basket but just couldn't quite stick. I felt great about its chances of going in too! My Patrol continues to be one of the hottest discs in my bag and I threw it early and often."
-12
Matthew Hull 42 - Regular tees, 18 holes "This was another solid round! My putting was good enough although I still missed some pretty easy putts at times. I like the way I played though."
-12
Matthew Hull 42 - Regular tees, 18 holes "It was twilight by this point so I was going through the course pretty quickly. My Star Mako hit a wonderful line on #7 and nailed the pole (way too low to hit the Ace but it looked superb otherwise)."
-11
Matthew Hull 43 - Regular tees, 18 holes "I can't really complain about any of my rounds tonight! Nothing extraordinary happened during this final round but my execution and touch was very solid."

Matthew Hull 43 - Regular tees, 18 holes "It's...Hump Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!! Yes, I am one of THOSE people who celebrates making it halfway through the week like none other. ;) I made the trek to Winton Woods straight from work and somehow, I forget to bring my sport socks so I played in my work/dress socks which was weird but thankfully, I don't think it affected my throws...too much. Outside of totally botching Hole #3 (my Roach has become increasingly flippy and boy did it TURN here), I had a nice round! My Lucid Enforcer nailed #4."
-7
Matthew Hull 47 - Regular tees, 18 holes "Not much to say here other than it was a pretty stinky round. My putting was all over the place today. Overall, it was a pretty mediocre romp although I had a few good putts here and there. Way too many misses in the 20 ft. range though."
-11
Matthew Hull 43 - Regular tees, 18 holes "If one disc felt good tonight, it was certainly my Patrol. Despite being such an understable mid-range disc, on the right day and with the right touch, that disc hits such a beautiful line. I came close on Hole #2 and I found myself throwing it on #5, 8, and even 13. It sure hit some nice lines too! I just barely missed acing Hole #14 with my Neutron Envy too (went just wide right)."
-12
Matthew Hull 42 - Regular tees, 18 holes "Although my play on the back nine REALLY let me down, I had a historically great start to this round with a smooth Glo Roach Ace on Hole #2! I normally throw my Patrol here but my Roach has become so flippy I felt good about inserting it here and my oh my...it hit a beautiful little an-hyzer line and hit dead center chains! I then made a fantastic 25-30 ft. Roach putt on #3 (after a mediocre drive that landed behind some trees) and started to believe that maybe...just maybe my personal best (-15) would fall. Unfortunately, I missed a few very short putts and simply didn't execute as well as I normally do on the back nine. Still, I suppose I shouldn't complain too much, right?"
-10
Matthew Hull 44 - Regular tees, 18 holes "Talk about deja vu! For ten holes, I had yet another outstanding round going before sputtering BIG TIME down the stretch. I darn near aced Hole #1 with my Evidence for the second time in less than a week with a couple of guys looking on (it hit a wonderful line and glanced off the chains on the left side of the basket...just didn't turn *quite* enough) and then had my throw of the evening on Hole #5 with my Patrol! I really took my time on this particular drive, got set, and released my Patrol with *perfect* touch! It turned sweetly then faded right into the center of the chains! My Roach Ace was certainly nice but this one was more impressive for sure. ;) It's just too bad I couldn't sustain my play on the back nine but still...the first ten holes were quite memorable!"

Matthew Hull 45 - Regular tees, 18 holes "What a beautiful evening! It was 65-70 degrees with virtually no wind this so I had to play you know? I actually started on the back nine due to the usual traffic on the early holes. My Cottonwood Buzzz hit a decent line on #18 and somehow faded enough to hit the bottom lip of the basket! I didn't expect an Ace with that throw and darn near stumbled into one! Speaking of near Aces, I hit the line on #2 with my Patrol and it glanced off the chains on the left side of the basket but didn't stick. A little more turn and it WOULD have stuck! ;)"

Matthew Hull 45 - Regular tees, 18 holes "Nothing noteworthy here but it was a decent round overall. While my putting was very good overall tonight, I certainly had a few stinkers too. That probably cost me a better score here."
-10
Matthew Hull 44 - Regular tees, 18 holes "My Pikachu Pro Boss continues to hit solid line after solid line on Hole #4! It turned beautifully then faded and skipped to within 10 ft. of the basket!"
-14
Matthew Hull 40 - Regular tees, 18 holes "I should be happy about this round...I really should! And it's not like I'm not but dang...I really blew it man! I had a golden opportunity to beat my personal best (-15) and I missed a BUNNY putt on Hole #6. It was an 8-10 ft. putt! Unreal. I started on the back nine by the way and, when my Pikachu Pro Boss turned nicely and got some tree love on #12, I started to think that maybe it was possible. Basically, outside of bad putts on #2 and 6, overshooting the #7 basket (Neutron Envy hit a superb line but went over the basket), and choking on #16 (Pikachu Pro Boss got through the gap but not without hitting leaves/branches in the process), I had a wonderful round! A score of -18 was absolutely possible here. Oh well..."

Matthew Hull 46 - Regular tees, 18 holes "I decided to enjoy some more Winton Woods fun today (Saturday). It was another nice day (around 60 degrees or so with a light wind) and it was a good time for sure. Sandy and Ryan joined me for a few later rounds as well! My Lucid Enforcer continues to hit wonderful lines on Holes #4 and 12 and I darn near Aced #14 with my Neutron Envy (*just* wide right)."
-9
Matthew Hull 45 - Regular tees, 18 holes "I had a couple of AWFUL putts on Hole #1 today. That's all I can say about the nasty 4's on that hole."
-11
Matthew Hull 43 - Regular tees, 18 holes "Sandy and Ryan joined me for the next couple of rounds which was fun! :) I hit a nice line on #3 with my Patrol (landed 8-10 ft. to the left of the basket) and nailed it with my Pikachu Pro Boss on #4 (landed some 15-20 ft. past the 275 ft. hole/basket!) The rest of the round was pretty solid too. My putting was erratic today for sure but I still had my moments."
-12
Matthew Hull 42 - Regular tees, 18 holes "How about that? I threw my Evidence on Hole #1 without putting much thought into what I wanted to do ("Just throw it, baby!") and it hit the most beautiful straight line to the right of the basket before fading perfectly right into the chains for the Ace!! I have not thrown the Evidence much (bought it last year too!) so I just made sure to put good velocity into my throw and the result could not have been any better. I put together a solid round overall too! My Lucid Enforcer landed 8-10 ft. to the left of the Hole #4 basket and I threw my Evidence on any hole(s) where it seemed like a good fit (I tend to do this whenever I pick up an Ace...I ride the Ace disc!) I came *very* close on Hole #18 with my Evidence (Sandy was even taking a video...too bad it didn't go in...or that she didn't capture my Ace on Hole #1!!)"
-11
Matthew Hull 43 - Regular tees, 18 holes "All I can say was that this was a classic "recovery" round because the front nine STUNK! I did come *very* close to acing Hole #2 with my Glo Roach but then I struggled quite a bit. The back nine was special though! My Lucid Enforcer got sneaky on Hole #12 and landed a mere 18-20 ft. to the right of the basket and my Pikachu Pro Boss nearly aced #16 (hit some part of the basket...sounded like the bottom lip perhaps?)"
-13
Matthew Hull 41 - Regular tees, 18 holes "I honestly questioned if I should continue playing after my Evidence Ace round (Sandy and Ryan took off after that round.) but this final round of the evening made me feel that it was okay to play a bit more. ;) I had a wonderful Pikachu Pro Boss drive on #4 and, despite sputtering a bit, found another Ace on Hole #14 with my Megasoft Shield! I always felt that my Shield would Ace this hole at some point and it turns out tonight was that night! It's a short hole but your throw has to fade just right to find chains and my Shield throw was to the right of the basket before it faded perfectly. That momentum really carried me home too because I finished the round in superb fashion!"

Matthew Hull 44 - Regular tees, 18 holes "It's been a few weeks since I played @ Winton Woods so after work (and after an eye doctor appt.) I decided to head out there and go "Ace huntin'." ;) I didn't find an Ace this round but I did play the back nine very well! My Star Stingray almost hit the Ace line on #5 too (just missed wide right and landed some 25-30 ft. from the basket)."
-11
Matthew Hull 43 - Regular tees, 18 holes "My Glo Roach *just* missed an Ace on Hole #2 (hit the line but sailed just over the basket)! My Pikachu Pro Boss *barely* missed one on #16 as well! I went for that same hyzer line that bagged me an Ace back in March and, while I didn't see where it hit, the sound I heard was clearly my disc hitting part of the basket (not the pole either...it sounded different)."
-13
Matthew Hull 41 - Regular tees, 18 holes "This ended up being my best round of the day! My Lucid Enforcer hit another superb line on #4 (landed 10-12 ft. in front of the basket) and I got a few favorable kicks on some of my drives (hitting trees/tree branches in just the right spot) to boot. It should be noted that my putting was very good this evening! The Glo Roach continues to come through for me (although that disc has really changed in terms of my drives...it turns a LOT more than it used to probably due to wear and tear)."
-12
Matthew Hull 42 - Regular tees, 18 holes "The only difference between this round and my previous one was that I missed a BUNNY putt on #18 from a mere 12-15 ft. out. It was silly and sad...ha, ha. My Pikachu Pro Boss hit the most wonderful line on #4 though (landed like 6-7 ft. from the basket) and I did a nice job closing on holes and making a few solid putts along the way. Unfortunately, my unbelievable streak of Aces @ Winton Woods ended tonight (I looked it up and I had bagged at least one Ace @ Winton Woods the last TEN times I have come here! 10!!) but it's not like I didn't try. I almost made it eleven straight trips! Oh well...I'll just have to start a new streak. ;)"

Matthew Hull 42 - Regular tees, 18 holes "It was simply too nice outside today after work...I HAD to play! After a day in the 50's, we hit 75 degrees this fine Monday afternoon and I went back out to Winton Woods for what I hoped would be an "Encore" performance. I mean...it's hard to top two Aces in one day but you've got to try, right? ;) Well, I didn't get an Ace this round but I did have another solid round. One hole I have struggled with in the past has been Hole #3 due to you needing an extreme an-hyzer line (or a nice flick throw) and today, I nailed the right line! My Glo Roach consistently hit the strong an-hyzer line and although I couldn't see the basket (it's a blind toss) I feel that I darn near Aced the sucker! My Lucid Enforcer once again was dynamite on #4."
