Anybody know the condition of the course right now?
Dave Lassen May 5, 2011 at 7:16pm
Not yet but they will be there soon when the weather warms up a little.I saw skeeters there in January when it was 15 degrees and 20 inches of snow on the ground.

Dave Lassen May 5, 2011 at 7:09pm
Wet and muddy on about 5 or 6 holes last time I was there.

Thats great news John, Willow is tied with Hudson (3/3) for the course of the week, I was trying to get a heads up if I needed to pack Hip Waiters for the usual flooded areas if the vote go's to willow. I want to make a trip out there before the 'Skeeters wake up.

Not nearly as bad as it used to be Admiral, they have added dirt to the fairways of holes 10 and 11,and near 6 basket,These are are real muddy.Still some water but a great improvement.

Long and short tee's are both cleaned for all 24. Course was frozen this morning when I played so no flooding, There looks like there will be a couple of spots but nothing that should be unplayable. only time will tell.

Yea, mosquito starting to die out. Couple more weeks and this course is ready to cool. Mostly dry as well
Joe Olson July 30, 2010 at 10:23pm
Played 18 holes today and skeeters weren't bad at all. If you wear shorts I recommend bug spray. But they weren't bad enough to carry you off the course.
Joe Olson July 27, 2010 at 7:54pm
anyone beenout this week. thinking tommorow morning. just looking for a skeeter update. I heard they weren't too bad last week. bringing the mosquito net for the head just in case.
Andrew Vance June 30, 2010 at 5:45pm
TRIED to play here last night since lakeshore is closed..... OMG MOSQUITOES!!!!! Even with 3 applications of bug spray there were swarms of at least 50-100 chasing me at all times, ended up leaving after 9 holes I couldnt take it anymore.
Joe Arnet June 25, 2010 at 2:26am
i've heard from several peeps; the powers that be @ willow don't/won't spray, do anything about the bugs. Why you ask? they like to keep the riff raff out of the course. Sounds more like lazy workers to me..
Nick Pacific June 24, 2010 at 1:51am
No crap. The bug situation makes Willow unbearable from mid may all the way until September. Its really to bad, because its an amazing course and probably my favorite in SE Mi. Any time of the day or year, never have to wait to play. Awesome wooded areas, very technical course. Best place to play winter golf too.

No skeeters but Mudd/Bogg on the far holes.. actually really nice to play but bring some $#it shoes for the slop
